Last time a band blew my circuits out like this was Cream in 1968. "Swan Song" next, WITH the Chopin Etude. What was left of your mind will melt and run out the bottoms of your shoes.

The DVD of the concert this came from is 2 hours long. I've watched it several times already, and in 2 hours, I didn't hear a single mistake - nothing. As for the crowd... This was done in March of this year when Japan had pretty severe Covid restrictions in place. They were allowed to do the concert only with the condition that the crowd could only clap - no singing and screaming - and they had to social distance. In the past, before Covid, the crowds went wild at their concerts.

Just like I'm used to being a "bad person" when I see problems... Your audio is perfect, very good balance that allows you to see all your video without volume changes. Your image quality, good. The reaction, one of the best I've seen. Keep it up, good job.

this was the second you got mindblowing, trust me, you will always get mindblown everytime you react each of their song.
You already seen them with their duel solos, now i think you need to watch 1 guitarist use the piano. Pls check Swan Song + Chopin intro (live).
Or If you want to see duel guitar vs keytar, pls check Spellbound (live) And as usual, prepare yourself 😂🤘

Great reaction, my man. These ladies never disappoint. They can and will blow your mind in more ways than one. As some have directed, check out “Swan Song w/ Chopin intro”. Thrash ballad with classical music. The dark-haired guitarist (Miyako) is classically trained on the piano from the age of 3 (with guitar only since she was 18). Favorite song and solo.
The date of this performance as seen at the end of the video is March 26, 2021. COVID restrictions are obviously still a thing so the crowd was asked by officials to maintain 6ft distance and keep their voices down to avoid “excess breathing” and expelling their germs. That would be so hard to perform to, but these ladies knocked it out of the park. True professionalism.

Lovebites' live performances are flawless and better, louder and heavier than their studio recordings. Asami's voice sounds better in an auditorium than in a studio. Their live pefomances put many other band's studio recordings to shame.

This has become my favorite song of theirs. Haruna, the drummer, is an absolute machine in this video. Non-drummers won't realize how difficult it is to play the off beats that accurately and for that long.

  • @PaulEMoz
    @PaulEMoz 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

The only way they could play this gig was to have severe COVID restrictions in place: people every other seat, no cheering or yelling, no moving around. If they hadn't done that they'd have had to cancel the show and they really, really wanted to finish this tour properly! As for suggestions - just pick anything from what anyone says. There are no bad songs!

The audio mix on this concert, and the other one you reacted to, was done professionally by the same people that work for Nightwish and Children of Bodom. I wouldn't be surprised if they cleaned some of it up since this was recorded for DVD/BluRay sales. There still is no denying the talent of all the band members who are super talented. Now do their classic masterpiece "Swan Song with the Chopin piano intro" th-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/w-d-xo.html Enable CC for the lyrics.

Well you love Haruna so the devoted, some would say rabid fan base within the WOLF-PACK will welcome you. You never/ever say anything bad about Haruna otherwise that base will hunt you down and strap you to her kit to be beaten through and entire set!!! Yeah the insane talent in this band is matched by the insane practice schedule they perform, everything goes through that schedule and is played till it is perfect LIVE. If you find one missed note in an entire concert it will cause absolute consternation to the band as a whole. Flawless Perfection comes from the relentless pursuit of perfection and these women achieve it not with talent alone but by working their a$$es off to get to that level. They use the same sound engineers as Nightwish thus their LIVE shows are flawless from stage setup, lighting, set list, playing and recording. Some would say they are control freaks but it is their art and they insure it is the best it can be and make it look easy doing it. Great reaction, loved the deer in the headlights reactions at certain points. Now wander off to hear other bands but you will always return to the lair of the Metal Goddesses for the flawless perfection you will always experience with them.

There was a lovely moment in the documentary, backstage video of theirs when Miyako came off at the end of the show, punching herself in the head. I'm guessing by that that she made a tiny, trivial mistake somewhere in the middle of the set that nobody else noticed but her and she was beating herself up for it. Doubtless she spent the next two weeks practicing assiduously so as to never make the same mistake again. I've said it before and I'll say it again... these ladies don't do mediocrity.

@@michaelafrancis1361 I saw that in the documentary. I love her to death BUT I could never live with her (LOL), she would drive me nuts, because if she is relentless in seeking perfection you better be too. Lucky for me I will never have to find out !!

I was at this concert. However tempting it was to be more active while they were performing, we had to agree to follow COVID restrictions (social distancing, no yelling, etc.) This was my 3rd LOVEBITES concert to attend. The previous ones were exciting with great band/audience reactions. Very pumped!!

the white outfits are worn for visibility as they are small women. dark haired guitarist miyako is the tallest at 5 ft. 2 in. - drummer haruna is 4 ft. 9 in. and the rest at about 5 ft. tall. picture them in the usual black metal band outfits - somehow it just doesn't work for these angels in white. all of their other live shows the crowds go nuts because they were done before covid wrecked everything. they were distanced in this show and asked to clap and not jump around and scream so japanese being conscientious they complied. a bit unfortunate as they deserved the full treatment of fan adulation

    • @user-gi4cy7ib3o
      @user-gi4cy7ib3o 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The white clothes are a choice of career that is beyond their height, other japanese bands formed by women as a Aldious, Mary's Blood, Band Maid, Nemophila, Fate Gear, Doll$Boxx, Gaharic Spin, etc., do not wear white clothes, and not to mention the Babymetal who dress in black, and Babymetal are not giants, it is not excluded that when the Lovebites will return to play after this unexpected break, have also changed their clothes to start a new adventure.

@@thedocofrock1890 The Lovebites must speed up the times otherwise there is a real risk that the band could break up, the companies that collaborate for advertising and the record company need certainties, if they do not find a solution, and on their official website the only news is that there is no more Miho in the presentation photo, for everything else still silence, makes it complicated since we are now more than a month after Miho's abandonment and the Nemophila are ready to take their place, and with talent they have, it takes little, certainly their music is more nervous, but effective.

LOVEBITES - Set The World On Fire lyrics:
The blue moon colors the blaze
    Stabbing myself with the thunder
    The predetermined imitation
An emotionless and a fearless smile
    Flowing blood and crimson blade
    Devastated resolution
Heat haze is waving far away
    Who’s going to be sacrificed?
    ON FIRE
    Just like a falling flower
    ON FIRE
    Until this body rots away
Burning down to the Gates of Hell
    Distorted madness is sneering
    Incompetent, cowardly fools
    A pitiful and painful punishment
It’s you who will be sacrificed
    ON FIRE
Dressed in an armor of steel
    ON FIRE
If I’m burned again and again
I’ll rise up from the Gates of Hell
    The blue moon colors blaze
    Stabbing myself with the thunder
    The predetermined imitation
    An emotionless and fearless smile
    Flowing blood and crimson blade
    Devastated resolution
Heat haze is waving far away
    Who’s going to be sacrificed?
    ON FIRE
    Just like a falling flower
    ON FIRE
    Until this body rots away
Burning down to the Gates of Hell

    Great reaction video dude.
Rather than going into detail about how truly talented every member of Lovebites truly are, I'll simply comment on what you mentioned about the seats.
The ONLY reason why the response from the crowd/audience was so reserved/restraint was simply because this concert was in 2021, when although restrictions on large public gatherings had started to ease somewhat, there were still severe/strict conditions in place. My understanding (and please correct me if I'm wrong) is that Lovebites was able to resume touring during this time in Japan with the restrictions that people in attendance HAD to remain in their seats, and also had to have at least one seat between them.
But that aside, again great reaction video dude.
Oh by the way, you just got a new subscriber.

Oh no, another 2 weeks off for brain rebuild! XD You can find some small mistakes and voice cracks here and there in different recorded songs at times, but yeah, I prefer their live stuff over their studio albums because of the added energy and that organic rawness. For something less brutal, Empty Daydream Live 2019.

If you want to listen to another exceptional Japanese band made up of all beautiful women, listen to the BAND MAID in MORATORIUM LIVE, but you have to go to BILIBILI, the Chinese TH-cam, otherwise nothing, in case you can always choose between "ONSET" or "REAL EXISTENCE" both LIVE VERSION, Kanami, Misa, Akane, Saiki and Miku, are the Goddesses of this band, or the band NEMOPHILA with DISSENSION, you will see that they will be another crazy, incredible surprise !!!! The NEMOPHILA have all the credentials to take the place of the LOVEBITES if the LOVEBITES will not find a way to return to play after the departure of the group by MIHO ROSANA the bassist, the NEMOPHILA have quality to sell.

The reason they wear white dresses is 2 reasons really. 1st being they don't want to dress in the typical color black like all metal musicians do. 2nd is because they want to show the world they are sophisticated women but can still play metal music with the best of musicians.
