Damn true. Cringe is a new form of social pressure of any atypical behaviour. If you different, so you are cringe. We, Gen-Z, just rediscover social acceptance and conformism. I may be cringe but I'm free.
Cringe can be distasteful...but also in a lot of cases...the cringe is in the eye of the beholder. Our reactions to other people's actions are based on our own experiences, insecurities and issues! This thought really helps me in the process of unlearning the subconscious fear of cringe. :D Great video, Grace 💖
I can attest! I'm a furry (which is pretty damn cringe), but I was kinda closeted about it for over a decade. This past year and a half, I embraced it a lot more: made myself a wolf fursuit as a Halloween costume, started a TH-cam channel, and even went to a couple of furry conventions. I've made a couple friends and had a great time with other people who like the same weird hobby as me. Embracing the cringe has been great! Highly recommend! ^w^
I love this! Unexpectedly got a text from my boss that we were gonna open late today so I had an extra hour to do whatever and decided to watch some youtube. This popped up in my recommended and it's exactly what I needed :') I kinda feel like a loser because I'm almost 20 and I'm back living with my parents after getting kicked out of school (But I'm on the road to getting back in!). I don't have any friends and I'm a cabbage farmer. I kind of just go to work and go home. I don't even have a driver's license (Again, working on it). I feel like I'm not living a meaningful life. It feels kinda tough to be yourself when you don't have anyone in your corner to encourage you, but this really inspired me
There’s a saying that “stupid people tend to be the happiest”. That’s for a reason. People who are more intelligent tend to be more introspective. The outside world doesn’t impress them so much, so they have an internal system. On the other hand, people who aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed tend to be more outspoken. Because they don’t have an internal world to live with. This is a general trend I’ve seen. There are exceptions to it. However, I feel that we can always learn from the “stupid people”. They aren’t afraid of judgement, they don’t hold themselves back by their limitations, they don’t over analyze things, they don’t strive for perfection all the time. These are all traits we can learn from them. We have one life. What good intellect is if you will have a life full of regrets? I’d rather be stupid than be regretful. However, I’m not stupid. So people like me, like you, have to try harder and learn to appreciate those things. So be cringe, don’t let the “judgement of people” stop you from enjoying yourself or live your best life. People either won’t care, or judge you anyway. Don’t live for validation, even subconsciously. It’s not easy to re-wire yourself. You have to fight a bit from your own self to get out of this habit. But it is an important battle. Remember, your ultimate goal should be to not live a life full of regret. You already have a bunch of them. Start today and put an end to adding more. Everybody has regrets, just don’t let your present dictate your future and vice versa. Live in the present, then only can your future self will thank you.
i had this realisation a few days ago so i really feel like i was meant to see this, and it’s so true. once you act in alignment with your true authentic self and do the things you truly want to do and hang out with people who are on the same wavelength as you no matter how other people perceive you, everything falls into place. i’m still trying to gain the courage to do so but it’s good to see someone else on the same journey as me
For 21 years old you are incredibly wise and brave. I love this video I’ll be watching it more than once. And I’ve never subscribed to someone’s channel so fast. Keep it up sis. You’re so encouraging 🖤🖤
I'm an amateur musician and I just released a couple of songs to a small circle of my family and friends. I'm already regretting the decision and can't stop imagining people ridiculing me for being so pretentious and cringy. For this reason, I'm glad I ran across this excellent video. I really want to work through these feelings of embarrassment and, with time, muster up the courage to go back into the recording studio and continue trying.
@@jadebuddha1505 That’s a really courageous thing you did and you should be proud of yourself! A lot of people never get to that step. Really relate to feelings of embarrassment that come up, over time I’ve learnt it’s a part of the vulnerable experience and something to embrace. Keep going, I’m rooting for you! ♥️♥️
i made a video for my mom on her birthday. it was a "my mom ages like fine wine" video with an edit of her from 5-50 years old. i didnt post it thinking nobody posts their mom wont it be a little weird when most people do is put a story? i needed a little motivation and you know what, this was it. the smile she gave me seeing that video made it all worth it so thank you❤. i owe you that smile
this is my personal motto since around 2021 and it feels so good. Now, living authentically takes a lot more hard work than you think it does. it means giving yourself time, prioritizing yourself, and beating harmful addictions or dependencies. Being truly authentic also means allowing yourself to feel very negative and depressed, sometimes for long periods of time, and working yourself through it. Right now, looking embarrassing is the least of my issues. I don't care if my brand of humor is too niche or random for some anymore, nor do i care that i am not attractive or presentable. i care about the socially prescribed lifestyle that i feel forced to be in that feels impossible to escape. im working on this.
I’ve just found your TH-cam channel and wanted to say thank you for being you and posting such authentic, courageous and valuable content! I’ve been wanting to make a proper TH-cam channel for years and have let the fear of being “cringe” stop me. I feel so inspired by you embracing and voicing your vulnerability. I am ready to take a leaf out of your book 😊. (Ps I’m from the byron shire and definitely recognise you)

this has come up in my recommended multiple times in the last couple days, I'm glad I watched. Been in a rut lately, and it's a good reminder to just go for things that you enjoy. I wish you all the success and enjoyment in the new year!
Hey Grace, I just watched your video and I must say that it was really informative and well-made. I was wondering if I could help you edit your highly engaging thumbnails which will help your video to reach to a wider audience .
this will sound dumb to you probably, but personally going to local raves and taking a mushroom helped me with being much more outspoken, confident and cringe. Cheers

New motto - “I may be cringe but I am free” 🥰
to be cringe is to be free fr
i also think cringe is heavily linked to toxic shame. which is not healthy at all and leads to social isolation and depression
As a 23 year old publicly posting about Monster High/my dolls, I think I’m fully embracing this
Oh and having an ASMR channel on top of that

Not caring what people thinking of you is fucking freeing , and yes reframe cringe to just being suttnetic and who cares life is too short .
I can't wait to go on this cringe journey with you!

I love this video. Great message, thank you and well done! Let's be cringe
