Where is the pope in the Bible? Answer: NOWHERE!! The apostate Catholic Church claims Peter was the first pope. But, was he? NO! Consider the facts... 1. In the Catholic Church, popes are celibate. But, in Scripture, Peter was a married man. As 1 Cor. 9:5 says: "Do we not have the right to take along a Christian wife, as do the rest of the apostles, and the brothers of the Lord, and Kephas [Peter]?" Also, Matt. 9:14 says: "Jesus entered the house of Peter, and saw his mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever." Common sense dictates that for Peter to have a mother-in-law, he had to be married. 2. The Catholic pope wore a crown. Peter never wore a crown or expensive robes that would have distinguished him from his Christian brothers and sisters. 3. People bow down to the pope. Peter would not allow men to bow down to him (Acts 10:25-26) 4. Catholic popes go by the title of Pontifex Maximus, which was originally the title of the pagan-worshiping Caesars of the ancient Roman empire. Peter had no titles. The Catholic Church is notorious for making up things that have nothing to do with Scripture.

There is no office of the Pope mentioned in any of the passages in the Bible discussing the hierarchy or structure of the Church. Therefore, it is clear that the office of the Pope--like many other traditions of the Roman Catholic Church--are sadly man-made. Those seven (7) passages setting down the basic hierarchy of the Church are Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 1:22; Ephesians 4:14, 15; 1 Peter 5:4; 1 Corinthians 12:28; Ephesians 4:11, 12; Ephesians 2:19, 20. These passages make it clear that the Pope is a man-made invention. In the Love and Peace found in Christ.
What a pity that John didn't understand what was going on between Peter and the Lord. He could have explained all that to us; then there'd be no doubt that some of the most evil, ungodly men to ever exist, were actually the God appointed, Spirit anointed, successors of Peter and the closest examples to the Lord Jesus Christ for Christians to follow... on Earth! Actually, come to think about it... No one else knew anything about it either? Not even Paul, (whom the Lord gave the full revelation of the Gospel to personally,) knew anything about Peter being Supreme Leader? Strange how silent the Word of God is about such an important topic? Truth is, the Pope is as much a successor to Peter as Donald Duck! The Roman Catholic pseudo Christian cult, (Mother,) and all her Catholic off shoots, (the Harlots,) were mentioned by John however.. When they finally, deservedly, come to drink from the cup of God's wrath, and are destroyed. 'Babylon the Great' crushed like an annoying bug. "Come out of her my people!" Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. Rev 18:5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Rev 18:6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. Rev 18:7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. Rev 18:8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. Rev 18:9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, Rev 18:10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
Presuposing that the gospels are historical reportings...which scholars do not, I would say that it is a later interpretation of a passage in the gospel of Matthew. Not talking theology here! What we see historically, is five major centers in the ancient world divided up in to empires. Constantinenople and Rome. What I find interesting is, we dont see that tradition being acted upon prior to the great schism. All bishops were equal until Rome became isolated. Dont get me wrong..it is practical to have a central leadership. The east was easily pushed around by the emperor and Rome wanted no part of secular bullying. But the Pope lineage, I challenge, is a late arrival that doesnt become a legal point until the schism and papal authority argument. Because frankly...we no evidence of it be acted out prior to the schism..minus what we interpret from the text.
This is a bit late but is like Constantinople. Constantinople comes very very late. You have to wait until there is a Constantine. Also, UNTIL there was a Constantine all Christians were persecuted. Again, there was no Patriarchate or Patriarch of Constantinople, yet. Finally, we have the first letter of Clement which comes very very early and does show this _Traditional_ example of the authority of the Bishop of Rome.
In Daniel 7:25, The pope is the little horn, Who will change the times and the law of God, including the fourth commandment, the Sabbath. Agree with the part of the video that all the apostles fled from Jesus in the garden when He was arrested. Where is the pope in the Bible? Answer: NOWHERE!!
The apostate Catholic Church claims Peter was the first pope. But, was he? NO! Consider the facts...
1. In the Catholic Church, popes are celibate. But, in Scripture, Peter was a married man. As 1 Cor. 9:5 says: "Do we not have the right to take along a
Christian wife, as do the rest of the apostles, and the brothers of the Lord, and Kephas [Peter]?" Also, Matt. 9:14 says: "Jesus entered the house of Peter, and saw his
mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever." Common sense dictates that for Peter to have a mother-in-law, he had to be married.
2. The Catholic pope wore a crown. Peter never wore a crown or expensive robes that would have distinguished him from his Christian brothers and sisters.
3. People bow down to the pope. Peter would not allow men to bow down to him (Acts 10:25-26)
4. Catholic popes go by the title of Pontifex Maximus, which was originally the title of the pagan-worshiping Caesars of the ancient Roman empire. Peter had no titles.
The Catholic Church is notorious for making up things that have nothing to do with Scripture.

Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.-Isaiah 55:3
Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the Lord for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.-Isaiah 55:13
And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.-Acts 13:34
Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this Man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.-Acts 13:38-39
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not. All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.-John 6:35-40
Believe on Him and love one another. Do unto others as you have them do unto you. As you sow so shall you reap in this life and the next. The law is established by grace and made void by the precepts of men that deny His testimonies of tender mercy.
But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard. He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went. And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not. Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.-Mathew 21:28-31
Let your yes be a yes and your no a no. Dead faith is simply cold. They have done what is their duty to do. Hot faith is perfected by works and the lukewarm is the first son who denies Him and His testimony and so He denies them by spitting them out of His mouth. He never knew them.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.-John 3:16

Rev 18:9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
Rev 18:10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
In Daniel 7:25,
The pope is the little horn,
Who will change the times and the law of God,
including the fourth commandment, the Sabbath.
Daniel 7:25
King James Version
25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
That passage refers to the fourth beast, not the Pope

And also promised this:
MATTHEW, 28:19-20
19. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20. teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you ALWAYS, to the close of the age.”

Answer..... No where in scripture
Apostles were the highest ranking.
“And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.”
1 Corinthians 12:28 KJV
Peter identified himself as an apostle.
“Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:”
2 Peter 1:1 KJV
As well as an elder a year before he died.
“The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:”
1 Peter 5:1 KJV
It is no wonder why Roman Catholics are so against the idea of sola scriptura. A can of worms it is.
Agree with the part of the video that all the apostles fled from Jesus in the garden when He was arrested. However, the conversation on the shore was directed at Peter because unlike the other 10, Peter denied knowing Jesus three times. The other apostles were restored when they returned to Jesus. However, Peter had to be restored separately because of his denial. Not to make him pope.

Short answer: the pope is not biblical
Before there was a Pope there was a Caesar ruling and governing all over Europe and Israel during the times when the Saints including Jesus preached the Gospel. An example of which would be Pontius Pilate who presided over the trial of Jesus Christ before he was sentenced to death by crucifixion . These were Romans who witnessed Christ's teachings and Christ on the cross and made Christianity an official religion
When the Caesars ceased to exist i believe the Pope Came into existence or we could say the Position of the Pope would be the same as that of the Caesars before the the Romans discovered Christianity.
