- The next stop on the Hobie Bass Open trail takes us to Lake Hartwell down south. I won a big tournament here on Hartwell last year, so I had a bit of confidence going in. With a few different patterns going on, I decided to cater to my strengths and go up river for big largemouth. This tourney was FULL of highs and lows. Hope yall enjoy!

Kristine, everybody can have an off day and sometimes things off the water can really mess with you on the water. Just keep your PMA handy as much as possible, and talk to Pa as much as possible (heck, I’d call him from the kayak sometimes if I were you!).
You’ve got lots of people who love you & are rooting for you. Don’t lose sight of that, no matter what the standings are at any given time.

Yeah that area gets wrecked when a kayak tourney comes to town. I can fish that area anytime I want and not see one kayak. As soon as a kayak tourney comes I see over 20 kayaks in that area it was insane. Also I was the guy fishing the point when you came hard core ninja by me to get into that cove under the bridge.

Keep your head up lady, happens to the best there is numerous times a year... You do have 1 of the best head games i have personally seen, and I gave fished tourneys since I was 9 years old.. You know the mistakes you made, you KNOW your one of if not the best there is, so keep moving forward, keep learning, keep evolving, and you will do all you hope to and so much more!

I can remember when I started following you I think you had about 1000 sub's at the time. As always I love your video's and enjoy watching your fishing adventures and how hard you have worked to get where you are now. Keep up the hard work and enjoying what you love so much! Fish hard till the end you never know when that bite will come. I won a tournament a couple of weeks ago with only 3 fish. Big fish 5lbs came with less than 5 min left to fish in sight of the ramp. Won big fish and the tournament. Good luck I love the videos.

I'm glad you have some time to yourself in the next week and a half. That split second decisions with grabbing the line its like oh crap. We all do it, and its was skin hooked it looked like. He sure came off easy. I envy your skipping skills that's for sure. Go get em next time.

When you’re moving to a new spot throw out a crankbait and troll. I’ve caught several bass over the years doing this. It provide you with an opportunity to catch something instead of just pedaling

Hartwell is a great fishery but a little tough on a kayak. It's one big lake with lots of dead water but where the fish are the fishing is good. Better for a bass boat IMO.
Just learn from it and move on! It's ok! Get em next time! You are a great fishing lady, Kristine!

What size line do you use on your fluke setup?
Depends on where I’m fishing - here I’m using 15 lb straight braid to get them out of the buck brush
