Ustad Nishat khan played Raag Hameer and he was accompanied on the table by shri Arif khan, son of Ustad Sabir khan.

Too much boom and echo in the hall, which spoiled this performance from a very valuable Sitarist from the Imdad Khani gharana.
Also it will be great to see this talented Tablist, namely Arif Khan again in accompaniment with Nishat Khan, perhaps where the audience were more quiet and attentive and the sound system was made to do its job properly. Initially people kept talking, which contributed to the tension which must have been caused for Nishat Khan. For artists of his calibre, a great sound system, pin drop silence and total attention are essential requisites for a great performance. Good wishes to the artists and good luck again to Arif Khan who has charisma as well as talent to take him far on the ladder of Tabla accompaniment.

Good rendering of Malhaar. He lacks composure and shows a great deal of strain while playing. He needs to study clips of Ustaad Vilayat khan who played effortlessly witb great composure
