- Hey Guys Today in this video i'm Going to Perform a Charging Test on The Xaiomi's Latest Released Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro. Both the Devices has a Qualcomm 625 and 636 process which Supports Fast-Charging but the company haven't mention anything About The Qualcomm quick charging support.
So watch the video to find out whether these devices are capable of handling some extra Volts and Charge up Quickly.

Things I have forgot to mention in the video -
1.) The standard charger(5v 2amps)takes around 3h to completely charge the battery Where as the Quick charger which i have used Fills the battery in around 1h 58mins.
1.) The Full Charging Time From 0% to 100% While The Device is Switched off is approx 1h 50 Mins With the Fast Charger.
3.) In 30 mins The Normal charger charge the battery to 30%
but the Fast charger Quickly charge it to about 40-42% in the
first half of hour.
I would like to conclude this test by saying yes !! The Fast charger can charge this device 30-45 mins faster then the normal one.
And again the quick charger Adapter capability and miui version also matters a lot.

Let me clear this doubt. First thing Xiaomi has mentioned QC 2.0 Support on their official website for both these devices. Secondly Its the era of QC 3.0 & 4.0 and Advertising QC 2.0 in their promo would have been a bust.
Finally the QC 2.0 charges with 1.5 Amps and 8.6 volts compared to Normal charging of 1.5Amps and 4.9 volts.
Hope this clears out your doubts.
And as asked by other viewers how much time it takes? still takes about 2 hours! compared to 3 hours on normal!

I will have to disagree. I have got this phone with me and to charge from 3% - 100% (with the phone switched on), it took exactly 120 mins ie 2 hours with the charger provided in the box. I will have to test with quick charger but I'm sure it'll take even less.

It's because Qualcomm charges 5$ or some amount/chip to enable fast charging on the said device. It happened even in the case of the previous redmi note series.

Out of the box, it supports QC 2.0 (as mentioned on the website). Go for any QC 2.0 from Geekcase, Mivi or Tronsmart :)

No actually some instruments inside motherboard not able to abide the pressure of more voltage and got damaged so that's why xiaomi doesn't say about quick charging in it.

I have been using mi phone for more than 3 years... I got to see this quick charging symbol on my mi note 4, 3sprime, redmi 2, redmi 5A when I charge with turbo charger which i got in my moto g5 plus and honor 8 pro... For more than a couple of month i didn't find any battery damage but I got some heating issue and the charging speed also doesn't change
alright i cant say anything much about the devices u mentioned but redmi note 5 and pro shows the quick charge symbol as well as shows that quick charger is connect and it charges the battery 20-30mins faster than the standard charger

Yes in redmi mobiles LED in top of the right screen will be turned OFF automatically after 100% of charging..

Hello, I need your help. When I put the cpu Z application in my redmi note 5 pro 6 Gb ram edition then It show as GPU 512 Adreno instead of 509 Adreno. And Architecture also show as Kryo 280 instead of Kryo 260 as specified in snapdragon 636 official website. I am totally confused with those. PLEASE HELP ME.......

As this is about motherboard instruments as this phone other instruments doesn't supports quick charging as they got damaged

with only qc 2.0 the phone already feel warm to a level is not very comfortable. i think xiaomi limit the qc to 2.0 is most likely they din include a better cooling solution that support higher qc
