You should give it back to Kris again, in order to spray a nice clear coat on it, so that your artwork will last even under heavy funky groove pounding!!!
I love mine, great playing and sounding bit of wood. finished with tru-oil and made a black mex p guard fit just! bit neck heavy but I've got a high mass bridge on the way that should balance it out moderately.
You're an absolute legend Julia. I'm a huge fan and thoroughly enjoy all your videos. From one bass player to another, you are a monster player. Very best wishes from Ireland.
I really like the bass! If it was going to remain white, I would substitute a tortoiseshell pick guard But, since you did such a fantastic job of painting, I would not change a thing. The bass kinda reminds me of the Stratocaster George Harrison painted for Magical Mystery Tour! Kris is an excellent craftsman! and you are a very tasty bass player, even when you are "noodling" you play some very cool stuff.
LOVE The "Hippie LQQK" of your Painted Axe! You and Kris created a GEM of a Bass! What a Great Friday The 13th Unveiling! Now it's time to play "Werewolves Of London" as Warren Z. Howls into The Night!😄 Cheers From Ohio MUUUUHAHAHA
The whole time I was thinking someone give her a powered screwdriver and then you mentioned it :D Nothing against your painting skills but it did look pretty good in plain white, the playing at the end was icing on the cake. Amazing how good the bass sounded too!!
Something you might consider (if you haven’t already) put a jazz neck on there to lighten the load. Did that with my kit bass. Like it a lot better that way.
Hm.. Might want to do the shape of the head before you mount everything? And you can use a litle pice of wood betwin machine heads and metal hammer when you tapp them down. But anyway, youre a bass goddess! :-) Have a nice weekend. Oh.. allready done with the bass.
Nice job, here´s a tip for the future, don´t screw the neck till you have everything screw into the body and for the next build, please use a soft nylon hammer.
Hi Julia. I love your videos of classic bass groove tunes. I was listening to one of my favorites: Joss Stone , Fell in Love With a Boy, from her Soul Sessions album. Amazing bass groove.... worth highlighting on one of your tune highlight videos. Thanks
Very good work, Julia! But take care! Ten years ago I bought a guitar kit like that, but the seller didn't tell me that building guitars is an addiction! Since then I don't know how to stop to build solid guitars, acoustic guitars, bass guitars, classic guitars, mandolins, etc...
When you use a screwdriver, don't hold it at an angle, the screw driver must be straight up and down, with pressure downward into the screw head, otherwise you'll strip the Phillips head.
You should give it back to Kris again, in order to spray a nice clear coat on it, so that your artwork will last even under heavy funky groove pounding!!!
Her enthusiasm is her strength, her playing is top level, her cuteness don't even need to be mentioned.
The goddess of groove Julia not only is superb in playing but has done very well in the trippy bass painting arena
This looks like so much fun. Maybe my son and I will try this.
That Is Golden Scott! Memories to be sure for the both of you! Cheers From Ohio
It IS fun!
Well done Julia! Now a luthier as well! Bass looks great. Needs just a protective coating and it’s definitely yours!
A real luthier would do their own headstock. There's more to be a luthier than screwing pre fab parts together.
@@themobseat Yeah. Most luthiers wouldn’t play that well also.
Holy crap, I was literally looking at these bass kits just yesterday Julia 😂
Looks like a good quality kit. I wish it was easier to ship to Canada!
But regardless, always great to see the lovely Julia and hear her play.
I love seeing every so often you do cello vibrato on the bass. I do the same thing :D
Got one on order for my birthday in three weeks. I am going to let the kids paint it. They're 4 and 7, so it should be really fun for them :)
2 words Power Driver, over all sweetness , you did an awesome job Julia. !!
Great work Julia, that’s just Awsome…👍👍👍
Thank you for this fun video ^-^ appreciate you all
Nice artwork! Made me think of Klaus Voormann.
Wow, that's a whole lotta hammer for the task. Presto! An ikea guitar. Very colorful. Nice job.
Oh, Julia! You are so talented!😍😍😍
Came out nice and doesn't sound bad. Win win.
Love all your video's. You're a very fast and clean player.
Thank you so much for sharing this Julia! Looks and sounds great! I'm thinking of doing one with my son now 🙂
I love the final paint job ! What a talentued girl 🙂
That turned out really nice.
Great job there Julia thumbs up from Geelong Australia 👍🇦🇺👍👑
Loved your video Julia!
Julia, you are the best. Your legend keeps on growing.
Wow, Julia and Chris did a very good job, very colorful and I really want to play it! Maybe some day I will do the same.
Thanks a lot! You should really try it, it's so much fun making a custom instrument for yourself. Cheers //Kris
This may be fun, although I'm not sure I'd be able to play it being small - but it sounds pretty good, and yay for no soldering.
Being small should not be a problem! ;)
Looks great, Julia! Happy Friday and have a great weekend! ❤️

Really nice job, Julia. Brava!!!
I hope you guys do another in 2023 because I'm buying a kit later this year and hope to start putting it all together in 2023
You're an absolute legend Julia. I'm a huge fan and thoroughly enjoy all your videos. From one bass player to another, you are a monster player. Very best wishes from Ireland.
Looks like a pretty decent kit. Definitely I need to try one.
Awesome design Julia 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

You're amazing Julia I couldn't build a guitar or a bass like you can
Da Auge ist so geil, 👁 Ja, herzlich willkommen im Community Instrumentenbau 😆💪 bald entdeckst Du bestimmt auch Löten und Fräsen. 😎
That bass came out really nice.
Awesome looking bass!
As a painter myself, that really is not bad! Good job on the theme of it

Love the painting!
Good morning, Julia!

Hello Julia from Indonesia. Nice video as always
I done my first kit build early 2020, i have a h/b bass kit i plan on building over the holidays ..
Thanks for your video 🧘
You are amazing bass player and it is pure fun watching your excellent videos, thanks.
Cool!
I was just thinking about adding a 3rd pickup ... bridge.
Awesome vibes!
Love it Julia!
I'm really glad you painted it. Nice art. I thought you might have left the bass plain.
That was awesome...Julia Miró!! :)
Awesome 👍
Wow, what a painting. I Like it.. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Has a really nice sound. 😊
Sieht nach viel Spaß aus, glaub ich muss auch mitmachen. Nur die Challenge lass ich aus 😅😂
Nice!
Really cool 😀
YAY IT LOOKS VERY NICE AND SOUNDS GOOD
Very pretty. Didn't you need any adjustment? Thanks for sharing your experience.👍👍👋👋
Something you might consider (if you haven’t already) put a jazz neck on there to lighten the load. Did that with my kit bass. Like it a lot better that way.
Yep, those P-bass style basses have a down to the ground dive effect, so thick and heavy
it looks like a bass...........cool

‘’Strange beautiful’’ (James Marshall Hendrix)
OH MY!!! take the pick guard off to paint it hehehehe
Great!
Picasso bass 👍
I would also paint pickguard as part of the overall abstract paint design.
Sounds amazing
Great!!!
nice job
That bass will be buzzy. :)
Well, I knew she would be a heart breaker but I didn't know how, but when I saw the ferrule install with that type of hammer, my soul was crushed.
Nice job, here´s a tip for the future, don´t screw the neck till you have everything screw into the body and for the next build, please use a soft nylon hammer.

Picasso will be proud, good job !
Amazing👏👏👏
I want that bass!
Now Julia, make someone happy and do a giveaway of your beautifully painted bass kit. I know I would love to be the proud owner of your p bass...💙👊😎
yeah,good luck with that.
YOUR SUCH A GIRL! BE PROUD Of IT.
That honestly looks really damn cool, the bass sounds awesome and that design looks great as well
I'm a Julia fan.
What’s not to like about Julia. I want her to be my wife and bass player in my band.😍
Wow, nice.
Reminds me of those guitars Clapton played.
I’ve got a HB bass cost me £85 it’s got the Wilkinson pickups it’s an older model, it plays and sounds fantastic,
parece que cuando está hecho por uno mismo suena mucho mejor... Jajajaja, felicidades Julia me encanta tu naturalidad.
NICE 😍😍😍
It would be nice to see different variations of the bass kits maybe one with a maple fretboard.
Great Julia. Nice painted bass. Put a clear coating over your artistic work. Are you going to make this bass in a lefty version 😂? I am a lefty.
Very good work, Julia! But take care! Ten years ago I bought a guitar kit like that, but the seller didn't tell me that building guitars is an addiction! Since then I don't know how to stop to build solid guitars, acoustic guitars, bass guitars, classic guitars, mandolins, etc...
Hi!, wich xtender hipshot can i install on my p-bass kit please?
Thank you very much
If only it was this easy to compete with Kris the man himself 😂
Don't try, Kris is the King. 🤴
Awesome. But how was her name on the headstock done? Special paper or something?
What kind of paints did you use? Just curious because I want to do something similar.
When you use a screwdriver, don't hold it at an angle, the screw driver must be straight up and down, with pressure downward into the screw head, otherwise you'll strip the Phillips head.
I bet you're fun at parties
@@omg_wtf We must teach the correct way. If you see a problem, correct the problem.
@@omg_wtf yes, I like to teach people correct tool techniques.
Hi Thomann. Any chance at all to ever see guitar kits with maple necks? Would definitely buy, but not interested in rosewood.
Très jolies basses ,bon son
