    Terrific. I now have an increased respect for 6mm - tho' will stick to 15's and 28's. But that 'mass effect' looks magnificent.

    Love the 6mm and 10mm sizes. This size you get a proper scale of battle, never truly understood the obsession with Skirmish games to be honest. I get they are quick and easy to play but nothing beats hearing, our right flank has collapsed and you have no idea why as you have been focused on the left flank the entire game and have no clue how it has happened but you need to now react to it!
    These figures look beautifully painted. Well done

      @stigofthedump181  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree, you can’t beat a good old big battle😁 I do like digging into the weeds a bit with small unit actions too though. Raids and border skirmishes can be great fun. Thanks for watching mate.

    Hi mate,
    So you play a standard unit as three bases? What size of base do you use for the frontage? I'm looking at using baccus 6mm and Hail Ceaser for medieval games too, but I'm a bit unsure about representing the Hail Ceaser rules in 6mm. Especially with regards t formations etc.

    • @stigofthedump181
      @stigofthedump181  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My units are 3 bases wide for a standard unit each base is 60mm x 30mm. Most units are 6 bases in 2 ranks. So unit frontage is 180mm, depth is 60mm. Its pretty much what I would use if I were to use 28mm.
      Any basing you come up with will work, so long as you can tell a small, standard and large unit apart.
      Hope that helps.
      Stig

    Did you achieve that effect with the men at arms you show at 3.40 into the video by taking the minis off the strips or are they still attached to the strips they come on? Thanks

    • @stigofthedump181
      @stigofthedump181  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, so with the armoured MAA and Billmen, the come on strips of 4, one behind the other. They are designed to be cut up and based individually. It's not quite as fiddly as it sounds however. Infact, the bowmen are the same too.
      I paint them on the strips, then clip them apart when basing them up. Maybe I could do some sort of tutorial for my method of basing these little dudes.
