Congrats to Ingram from this Tampa fan! Something tells me he’s not going to be a backup for very long. He had everything but the kitchen sink thrown at him and kept it all out of the net
Im a Wings fan and i can tell you from experience watching Yotes, anytime we play them there goalies always stand on there head, Vejmelka is a very underrated tendy and if the Yotes get a defence they'll be a brick wall
@@nickhughes8179 I meant the start the Organization was really good and pulled a bunch of fans. It's mostly that since 01 they've haven't had that much success other than a couple playoff appearances and the 2011 Playoff Run. Which btw, the Coyotes were originally a Canadian Team moved to AZ.
Watched this guy play live for 2 full season when he was a Kamloops Blazer and this is no surprise... he is a big time goalie when it counts and given an opportunity to play.
Connor Ingram sets the record for 47 saves, the most by a rookie in his 1st career nhl shutout. He's does it vs Tampa the team that drafted him. Tampa has a +34 goal differential, 35 wins, and 73 points. Arizona has a -44 goal differential, 19 wins, and 46 points.
Last week in the AHL, Arvid Soderblom got a career high 44 saves after an 11 round shootout. Pretty good considering when he started out the season with the Blackhawks, he got creamed. Of course the BH had NO defense either so there is that. Glad to have him back on the Hogs!
As a native of the town Ingram played for in the WHL, it's not surprising that he played so well, as he played his ass off here for years.. a great guy, he deserves the recognition, and it's too bad he ended up playing for the lowly coyotes and not staying with the bolts, where he could play with a contender every year. Sure he'd be the backup, but backup goalies get Stanley Cup rings too
I went to a stars game vs the yotes where the stars won 4-0 and my boy ingram was staring at the dallas ice girls so now me and my buddies have a joke that the stars ice girls are motivating him 😂
It's crazy what turn his career has taken. In the 20/21 season he was on loan at Björklöven (Swedish second division) when their first goalkeeper was injured and Connor wasnt good at all. He was also accused of being involved in match fixing and left Björklöven after that. Im happy for him that he seems to have found the right place in the Coyotes and that he has regained the joy for hockey again.
I have never understood how goalies are cut loose so quickly now. It was always understood that goalies take the longest time to develop. they can't cut it by 22, they are considered dead weight.
Too bad they can't put anything together in Phoenix, Glendale or Tempe. As a fan, I'm hugely disappointed with the ownership and it's commitment to the fans. I hope someday they'll once again make a showing in the playoffs. I'll always follow them, but as a resident of Glendale, AZ. This fan has had enough of the games they play with it's fanbase! If I want to see hockey in person, I travel to Vegas!
I hope the Coyotes can get this sort of goaltending for all their games going forward for the rest of the season…has absolutely nothing to do with me being a Canucks fan, I swear! 🤫
Knowing that there is a very high likelihood that Tampa is his team's 1st round playoff opponent, Leaf GM Kyle Dubas makes a deal with Arizona for Ingram!
When watching preds vs avs I felt so bad for him. I was suprised to see them let him go after that as the avs did that to every team basically. Hopefully he goes to a good team next season.
@@radovanbabjak7903 ya sure is. Interesting stat when that happens, both goaltenders get credit for a shutout if it's still 0-0 after OT but before shootout
It’s gotta be weird to have a shutout AND a loss for the same game on your stat sheet. Also, I’m a Yotes fan and it seems like all 7 of us commented on this video at some point.
Honestly if Ingram keeps this up, along with vejmelka, the coyotes have a chance. I've heard from people they are no longer tanking and if their goaltending is like this, they beat out many teams especially Tampa who has been weak lately.
The Lightning probably thought it was going to be an easy win for them and wanted to have Vasilevskiy play against teams that are more challenging to them.
I'm a tampa fan and I just can't be mad at this at all. He played his heart out and deserved the win. It really was the Ingram show the whole game.
I loved watching him in Milwaukee last year and was stoked to see him finally play up to the level I’ve hoped to see from him
Good attitude dude. That’s a real hockey fan there.
@@Officer_Boat I watched him when he was with the crunch who is affiliated with the lightning so it’s pretty cool to see him do good
Same! I was completely content with this result
Lol you gotta admit tho… small bit of shame in how Tampa has been playing since the All Star Break 😂
Nashville is crazy to have let him go. They put him out to DRY against the Aves and he still put up a decent performance. Amazing.
Saros just lets you do stuff like that I guess. They let Vejmelka go as well. Next thing you know they'll just get bored of Askarov and let him go.
It’s cause he wasn’t good for us
Agreed, I was crazy impressed by him in that series. He played really well
He started playing dust
@@olidreyar6381 They should...Trade at least...Askarov sucks
The coyotes don't get enough credit for consistently producing/reinvigorating the amount of NHL caliber goaltenders they do.
Anyone playing for them gets double the practice

I really enjoy hearing stuff like this. So happy for him.
What a great story man battled his demons and won.
definitely
Congratulations to the Coyotes and to Ingram for the no goal game !!
Congrats to Ingram from this Tampa fan! Something tells me he’s not going to be a backup for very long. He had everything but the kitchen sink thrown at him and kept it all out of the net
Love my Yotes! Was an amazing performance to watch.
Coyotes fans : awesome!
Coyotes players : awesome!
Coyotes GM : ....Fuck.
I think it also shows how good Tampa Bay has been at drafting and developing players. The players they give up are showing up big.
That last minute crayon job on the helmet just sealed it for me!!! So cool.
Ingram played very well yesterday! was a treat to watch

Move the Coyotes to Canada. The Sun Belt Expansion was a failure.

As a Rangers fan,the coyotes gave the Rangers a scare in Arizona too,but the Rangers held on🙏🏿.
The man played unbelievable against Colorado and Last night
Love to see a good goalie battle and an underdog story!
Ingram can get hot, he played the Avs in the playoffs and game 2 he was amazing, kudos to the man
He was incredible in goal for the Kamloops Blazers in the WHL glad to see he is in the NHL
Ive been a hockey fan for years - seen soo many unbelievabler games BUT this truly unbelievable - ty FrCanada

Love it. Why this game is great. A shut out, hell yeah.
Even if he doesn’t have an NHL career he will have a record for life that’s dope.
Keller's penalty was clean
Ingram was phenomenal last post-season, despite getting swept by my Avs. He has a bright future.
best hockey vid I´ve seen for a while. tx man!
Very kind, thank you!
WOW....a life time special. You Go !!
Wow, what a performance. Hope he can keep it going
Ingram was a great goalie for the AHL Milwaukee Admirals. He led them to the league championship during the COVID shortened season.

Its a shame either goalie had to lose, but even as a tampa homer I cant be upset ingram was amazing.
Holy moly! What a goalie!
Your vids are so damn good!

Will anyone ever beat Ron Tugnutt's 70 saves reg season game? Ray Bourque alone had 21 shots on goal!
The coyotes are a weird team this year. They are one of these teams that lose a lot, but still seem to put up a lot of fight
That has to be the best feeling ever! Screw you Tampa Bay, and your bureaucracy.

Good stuff, double shutout
nice job!
Great game for Ingram, but the Coyotes aren't going anywhere if they need to count on their goalie making 40+ saves a night!
"With that said, the onslaught continued." 💀💀 lol its rough being a Coyotes fan. It will be our year eventually though
As a goalie I'd like to say f yea
Actually the last goalie to do this was vejmelka the other Arizona goalie with 46 in their 1st career shutout with most saves

Ingram played in the playoffs against Colorado with Nashvillw when they lost.
Also what has not happened in this season is a game going 0-0 into OT

It's not wrong to say that one man won this match, and that by the goalkeeper of all people!

Arizona gonna trade Ingram now for winning a game

Good on the goalie but do his defense want some stats too or they just taking a piss?
dear god somebody please send him to San Jose we NEED some goaltending talent
Some nights the biscuit just won't go in the basket.
Here I was hoping something really unusual happened due to the title of the video, but I was out of luck. A shutout has happened in NHL history.
Tampa looks like their on their for another cup but great job
If your goalie is facing 40+ shots a game. Than there goes to show that the defense was doing nothing, or scared.
Why didn’t they use vasilevskiy
The Lightning probably thought it was going to be an easy win for them and wanted to have Vasilevskiy play against teams that are more challenging to them.
Ingram for vezina
It sometimes takes someone some time before thier true potential shines through!

21 shots... in the first!?!?

Syracuse Crunch are not ECHL
Wow!! 0-0 OT that’s a first isn’t it? In awhile anyways
Has there ever been a goalie who never allowed a goal including OT and shootout?
Put an asterisk next to that win against the bruins tho lol....if the refs could figure out wth icing is that would have been a dub for boston
