More rich people trying to get richer and if they get scammed it's a crime. But the poor people of the country that is stealing from its people.

I think he was absolutely guilty and liable but the Canadian Justice system sucked then and sucks now when it comes to white collar criminals

De Guzman himself was Filipino. It seems pretty clear that De Guzman and at least some of the Filipino geologists were part of the conspiracy. It sounds like they were able to disappear and the Filipino government isn't interested in investigating.

Who ordered the salting? It was a huge scam 🪨💰, but hardly complex in the making😮At the very least, basic QA/QC processes were not maintained.
