Just found your channel. How old is your baby? I have an almost 9 month old baby boy as well. I’ll be teaching second again this year going into year four of teaching.
@@teachinglittleminds1973 We don’t start school until after Labor Day but going back after maternity leave was very hard. He had to go to daycare as well and he didn’t like it. There were days where he would only eat once while there. For this reason he won’t be returning instead my husband or family will be watching him. I scheduled a shut down of all things school related and did not deviate from that time. I would say be realistic when you know there is a day or two you’ll have to plan later do it but don’t make it a habit. Whatever doesn’t get done for work has to wait until the next day or until your next scheduled time to plan. Cook dinners that can stretch for two days on the days you know you have to plan late ( conferences, new lessons, planned observations).
@@PreciousBB18 It was easy after maternity leave cause we were virtual and in was use to my schedule and he adjusted to daycare well. But now im at a new school and he's in a new daycare its been a bit hard to adjust for both of us, but im take advantage of the storm and labor day to get ahead so I don't feel as stretched out. That way I can just shut it down at 3:30. Hopefully your baby has a better time adjusting this year !
