thank you! i had to find this tutorial. ive never in my life played a pc game ( im in my 50s) and didn't know what "wasd" was. i also didnt know how to work the stratagem -- i got stuck at the first part where you have to use the stratagem!! i didnt know i had to use the wasd to do the arrow moves!! i just gave up and came online. you have been a tremendous help to this ole dude!
I might be remembering the lore wrong here but while military service is optional (but strongly encouraged), military training is *mandatory.* It’s probably why every Helldiver comes out already combat fit and knows how to use a firearm and the other equipment. As bare bones as this is, the fact that Helldivers even have this extra bit more training at all does put them a bit above the regular SEAF infantry

A decoy Helldiver that can be used to misdirect bots or bugs: bugs would probably be fooled by it more easily than Automatons, who would likely not fall for it, but could be baited by the distracting voice lines they would say, like "greetings fellow helldiver"
I impulsively shot and destroyed the first dummy helldiver and the game acted like it absolutely expected me to do it. First time I'm hearing the lines that I skipped because of that xD
That turret sentry nearly blasted my Helldiver's head a while ago when my Helldiver stood up awkwardly after she accidentally ragdolled around the ground Managed to jump down within second the gun start firing lol

the game literally didn't put the barbed wire high enough. First, the game put me through half an hour of connecting my old Playstation account and then the game bugs out on me. This is the game that everyone says is amazing?
@@InfernalPume ?? I play on PC and haven't touched my PS4 in years. The game explicitly tells you that you need to connect your Playstation account in order to play online. Either that message was wrong and the Playstation link was completely pointless, or that message was right and you _need_ a Playstation account in order to play a PC game. So yes, in both scenarios it would be the game's fault.
Like marctronixx I am over 50 and can't figure out the controls...I am not sure how to sprint or activate the global strike stratagem...been trying for 2 days....I told the kids I'd play but I'm about to uninstall the game.
I can't figure out how to sprint. I says to hold up arrow but I hit the up arrow on my keyboard and...nothing. And I WASD for the stratagem but it just keep rolling through the selection and I dunno how to make it work.....aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh
@@ernestoleguizamon3976 Know this comment is a few days old (and im not sure if your trolling or not) but to sprint its SHIFT+MOVEMENT(wasd). Then for the stratagems Hold CTRL then follow the sequence listed in the stratagem using wasd. This will prime it. After that then use your mouse to throw it (Right click to aim, left to release). This is all assuming your on pc granted.

The camp is literally just an assembly line to produce barely trained indoctrinated schmucks provided the barest of minimum knowledge and fueled entirely by zealotry. Basically, Helldivers are a dirt cheap expendable force that has been propagandized to be super heroic and the "training" only exists to make sure that all of the gullible idiots that have been recruited know what the buttons on their equipment do...and not much else. Not to preserve the recruits, but to make sure that the payloads actually land where they should.
In lore, they’ve already been through training up to this point. They’re given ranger style training, and most are fished from the SEAF. This tutorial is best described as a ceremony, or a final test that is extremely easy. I got this info from the Helldivers Corp Lore video done by another dude.
Read the opening transmission. 48,736 recruits, average age 18 and only 21.3% survive the training. And yet their quota is still maintained. Throughout the whole tutorial, General Brasch talks down then encourages you as propaganda. Funny thing is, we don't even know if he's real. At the beginning of the level, the poster sign says "See you on the other side" meaning they either graduate or join the veterans in the afterlife. It really paints the idea that Helldivers are extremely expendable.
Now imagine if they made a marvel ultimate alliance game just like this set all over the marvel universe open world and multiplayer and multiple skins etc.

Helldivers recruits themselves asked to make training shorter so they may reach frontline faster according to lore.

That would be cool but I feel like it should be always given like resupply. Otherwise it would not compete to anything else
Less than a fourth of the recruits survive this. Given the trainer course uses live ammunition and keeps around live Terminds, I can't imagine why.
