Iris West-Allen It was a dramatic/sarcastic way of saying, The Academy is trying to "clean" up their image, BUT Hollywood from it's inception was about American propaganda. Films like The Birth of A Nation(originally the Clansman 1915) showed how a lot of so called "white" people feel about "their," county. The disturbing irony is The Birth of A Nation (2016) is a bold slap in the face to the original(in an opposing the system of racism way), film, but mainstream media is trying their best to NOT promote the film, slander Nate Parker's name, and black-list him, I wonder why(sarcasm).
