I think you mean the FIRST resident evil.. re4 was an over-the-shoulder third person shooter. The original resident evils are the one's with those weird, retro camera angles
@@StrawHatTony420 the idea of DMC was born from RE4. That's why DMC1 Dante resembles RE4 Leon, and both games take place in an island with gothic architecture.

This game is a masterpiece. Good story, Great Art direction, Great gameplay, the soundtrack I keep listening to it from time to time.

The first Devil May Cry Games voice acting may be Dull but the soundtrack is Awesome and the gameplay is Stylish.
Story is alright, the art is good, gameplay is dated, and the soundtrack is pretty good
dmc 1 is the best dmc to date, the atmosphere... they need to bring it back. Really dissapointed that other dmc’s are not well designed+atmosphere :/
@@amarson2322 Because DMC1 was gonna be a resi game. Plus it's a kamiya game too, DMC3 was basically a reboot that changed the series forever and focused solely on making the combat good. I wish kamiya made another game in this style
I played through this game blind about two days ago and when I reached the "legendary cutscene" I couldn't help but have the same reaction: "This is DEFINITELY a meme. There is no way this is not a meme. Also this is really sad????"

I’ve played this for years and never knew about that red orb stash on the horse statue in the beginning.
Even if DMC1 isn’t quite for me (I liked DMC3 and onward more), this run is still pretty cool to watch! Seeing someone blaze past sections I struggled with is pretty satisfying, too.

Lord Zanas Helm Breaker does more damage off of a double jump.

This is a normal difficulty run, not DMD. DMD is alot different. DMD is not too hard, but you need to know some stuff in the game.
So does Phantom take extra damage in his back?
THQ Russia When his tail emerges from his back, his weak spot is open. I dealt that amount of damage by doing a double jump off of his back, and then helm breaker (jump slash). Also works with Air Hike, just as long as it’s a double jump.
what even caused that "almost crash" near the beginning? i didnt know this game had any instability.

Arc Ray PC Version is actually really solid. It was the PC itself. Same thing happened in the Titanfall 2 run.

given its graphics it sure loads fast.
i'm surprised they didnt use a lot of tricks. you can jump on the bridge when you get struck by lightning and its faster than if you're on the ground.
I'm well aware of that. I actually pressed the jump button a couple of frames too late. Pretty minor. What other tricks are you talking about? I used just about every trick there is in the current Any% Normal route.

Is this HD collection? I have a problem with the cutscenes in this game. Is the port that bad? I mean, I perfectly run DMC5 but I got laggy cutscenes in DMC1
If you're talking about the PC port, it has a few weird issues, but they can be fixed. Just make sure the game is actually using your graphics card and not integrated graphics (it defaults to the latter on a lot of computers).
Yeah HD collection can get audio desync in cutscenes, it is fixable though. Suggest googling troubleshooting solutions if you're still having the issue because what fixes it isn't always the same for everyone.
Watching him play this while got my booty kicked throughout it makes me feel like a newbie.

So, I never played DmC back on PS2 as hack and slash types didn't really appeal to me then. However, now I'm 31 years old my tastes have changed quite a bit. I picked up the HD collection yesterday on Steam. I guess I'm in for a treat, right? 😊
