Hi Burley, I bought my surger and delayed using it for about 6 weeks, because I needed to make time to read the manual. After reading partly of how to thread it, I decided to research on youtube and coincidentaly found this video. I was impressed at how easy, straight foward and convenient this video was in showing how to thread this machine. I really appreciate and am thankful for the help. I highly recommend this video by Burley. You're an expert with this machine! Thanks again.

God bless you for this!!!! I haven't touched my serger in years. Been tucked away in the garage. Since I'm home during this pandemic, I decided to pull it out and my brain went into shock, because I couldn't remember how to thread this machine after all these years. I figured I'd follow the diagrams, but then I thought "LOOK FOR A TH-cam INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO!" And here you are. Thank you!!

I can’t tell you how many videos I’ve watched to get information on this serger. I’ve been so intimidated by this machine that it’s just been sitting on my table ‘cause I was afraid of breaking the thread it came with. I didn’t know how to thread it and have had a project the kids gave me sitting around for months without touching this thing. You’re video was so clear that I’m finally understanding how to thread it. The diagrams and small parts on the machine made the diagrams less than clear. Your video was awesome. Can’t wait to see what other videos you have on this serger. Thank you so much!

Same here - I pulled my serger (that I've never used) out of storage to make masks and could make no sense of the directions that came with the machine. Now I've threaded the machine and successfully sewn with it for the first time! On the make a stack of masks for family and friends!

What issue were you having? I am trying to change out the thread cone for my upper looper and now I'm not getting a chain. Do you need to un-thread all 4 and redo in this order?

@@natashadowning2363 if you tie the new thread tightly to the old thread & clip as close to the knot as possible you can then open the tension disc and slowly pull the new thread through the eye without the need to rethread everything. Don't forget to reset the tension when you finish.

I’ve just got my Brother 1034D today, but ordered it three days ago and have been watching the different youtube videos on it. I have to say Burley Sew is by far my favorite instructor. Not a lot of excess chit chat insignificant things like what they ate recently or why they chose a certain color fabric. I appreciate that. Gets to the good stuff without static.
