  • In this video, I react to EXIT EDEN's "Désenchantée". As you can tell, this one confused me a bit with the tone and the story... But I'm really curious to hear your thoughts on this one!

The video is commentary on social media in general. Even when people are out having fun, they don't live in the moment, they feel the need to capture everything on camera to share on social media... so that everyone think they are happy and having fun, but they are actually alone at home.
The Band is Clémentine Delauney (Visions of Atlantis), Marina La Toracca (Phantom Elite) and Anna Brunner (League of Distortion). The video was shot in the Netherlands if I remember correctly.

Without knowing French or the lyrics, just from the video, I was thinking maybe some kind of reflection on addiction to phones. Then I looked up the English translation and it was a whole lot of "there's all this chaos and I don't understand". There was (only) one line about longing for innocence. So maybe that's what all exaggerated happy care-free scenes were?
If you want more Exit Eden I recommend "Run". Its a collaboration with Marko from Nightwish. Lots of outdoor scenery.

That was a bad music video. I'm French and I think the director didn't understand the lyrics because it really didn't fit with the song. You should watch the music video by the original interpret of the song, Mylène Farmer. She has amazing music videos. I'm sure that you will love them.

IMHO, I think you picked the least impressive Exit Eden video. I recommend "Run", an original song in collaboration with Marco Hietala of Nightwish where the girls play a Fates/Furies role of persecuting poor Marco's character, and "Femme Fatale" another original where they play as a trio of witches/succubi seducing a man.

Probably!! I just picked the most recent one, haha! Thanks for the recs, I'll add them to the list so that I can give them another chance in the future!

@@manondereeper "Run" is a wonderful outdoor shoot, but "Femme Fatale" is shot in and around a gorgeous old castle so you have your choice of location shoots to choose from. :)

This is my favorite video from their new album, and I think it's beautiful. "Run" is a more unpretentious video and I think it became so popular only because it was the first official video with Marko Hietala almost 3 years after his departure from Nightwish.

Dam I was hoping she will brake all these mirrors at the end. Original video had much more sense than this. This one is silly and boring. Unfortunately
