Prime Minister Justin Trudeau delivers an address at the Sikh Foundation of Canada’s annual Centennial Gala in Toronto.
He highlights investments from his government’s recent federal budget to preserve Sikh Canadian heritage, including $6 million to build a space for Sikh art at the Royal Ontario Museum. The prime minister also acknowledges the charges laid on May 3 in relation to the 2023 killing of Sikh activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Surrey, B.C.
