What a beautiful man: - physically, an Adonis, artistically gifted, humorous and also humble, in his way. A loving father and husband. A man able to change with his seasons. Ultimately, he showed us how to face death with dignity and fearlessness. He made a difference in the world. He was courageous and wasn't afraid to be different, at a time when it wasn't vogue. I have nothing bad to say about this man. I am taking a lesson from him to live my truth.

Fearless. Ever Changing. Driven to create and drive change. Amazing ability to analyze and communicate. Good sense of humor and never attacking others, while being true to himself. Never driven by the money, or fame, just the desire to create and be true to himself and never bee boring. Good man, father and husband. He will be missed, but left quite a nice good-bye with a new album and broadway show, knowing that his creative spirit will influence others.

I'll never forget this. I was 6yrs old, & I was at a friend's party with my mom & grandma. I got bored, so I broke away from them. I ventured into the de, where some older kids were watching a movie. I remember standing on my tip-toes, peeking over the back of the couch at the t. v. screen. There was this guy with platinum-blond hair that'd been feathered out & teased to the nines, who looked like he'd been dipped head-first in a vat of glitter, & whose boots likely pushed him over 6ft tall. That movie was "Labyrinth". For years afterwards, the image of David's brooding facial expression, him offering a crystal to whoever viewed his picture, lingered in my head. His voice in that movie was the first time I'd ever heard an accent from that part of the world, my first Brit. It was one of my earliest life memories. It'll always be one of my most special.

Bowie was such a unique and inspiring man. He was definitely one of the most creative artists who ever walked this planet. Such a shame I never got to listen to too many of his songs before he died. Even if his music will live on forever, I wish I had gotten to know him more. Listening to his music now feels so much different than it did before.

Mark Tooley Yeah, I guess it's just because of how he stayed active and creative all the way until the end. I don't know of any other artists that managed to end their life in one final work of art. And Bowie's been writing new songs in his 60s since 2013. I'm really proud of his confidence and perseverance that he managed to keep into his old age, even through the long months of his struggles with cancer. And the fact that he knew it all along and kept it secret just so he could send himself off in a bang - it's really incredible. I think if he stopped doing his musical career back in the 80s or 90s, his death would've been treated far less dramatically. It's just his uniqueness and his strength that he held on to until the very last day are what made it so emotional. I hope to do something in the future that will pay tribute to his otherworldly life, something that will remind everyone of him should he ever be forgotten. Even if I never really listened to his work until after his passing, I guess I'm just glad I can say I was alive while he was.

God, just love how he sums up the Let's Dance period with the Collin's comparison. So succinct and his ability to laugh at it, yet stand proudly in that other kind of spotlight without giving an ounce to the misguided crowd that considered this his 'sell-out' phase. Brilliant at every turn.

I still can't believe this. Every time I see "rip David Bowie" or "Bowie, who died this week..." On the news or whatever, I just can't believe my eyes. For some reason, I thought he'd always be there. I grew up with him as a child seeing Labyrinth and hearing him on the radio my parents would play, although I didn't know who he was at the time.. He was just everywhere. When I read the news I actually read about it late Sunday night. It was already day time in England then. At first I thought it was a hoax, David Bowie? No way, he just came out with an album and it was only his 69th birthday, he's totally fine! so of course I checked yahoo. When I saw his picture on the page I knew it was true, I didnt even have to read the title of the article. I just kept saying no no no over and over and cried. I just can't wrap my head around it. Irrationally I guess a lot of us just felt he was the invincible Bowie, that he'd always be there, that he would never die. And 69 isn't even that old anymore.. I don't think I'll ever get used to seeing this. He was larger than life and he influenced so many people, artists and fans alike. How could there ever be another like him? There won't.
The outpouring of grief from people all over the world has really surprised me, though. I knew he was an incredible artist in so many ways, and he meant a lot to me personally as he had a huge influence on my life, but I had no idea his death would create such a void that has been felt and expressed in so many ways and in so many places from millions upon millions of people. I wasn't alive when john Lennon died, but many people have said they haven't seen this kind of thing since that time. Knowing he meant so much to so many people is wonderful, and in a way that brings me comfort. I can't imagine what Iman and his family and close friends are going through right now. Part of the shock of his death was that no one knew he was sick. But they did. They must have seen this coming and it must be so horrible. My heart goes out to them.

A true artist in every sense of the word. Bowie had an aura and musical and visual sensibility. The like of which we will never see again. some may try to clone him but no one can ever surpass that first impact circa 72. Iggy Pop said it perfectly "THE BEST THERE IS". Not In Heaven Or Hell But Back To Mars😢😢😢Like I Never Even Got To Meet Him! 1947 Was The Best Year Ever Because Bowie Entered The World. He was the gift of life, His death will take place in history. Even when he took drugs, Smoked cigarettes and sniffed cocaine he was still an unbeatable and loving man, Lord God With All Of Your Glory, Let Bowie take the best seat of Heaven. +Toren Stoudt I agree, why do we need to be told repeatedly what lesser artists and an unfunny comedian think or feel about his death. Bowie's death is the passing of one of the greatest most versatile artists this planet ever knew. Those people don't even come close so why would we care what they have to say. His fans matter much more.
