I am truly impressed by your metal fabrication, fit and finish. I have seen very few others fashion a part, overlay it then make the cut. This does produce a better fit and finish while reducing the time it takes to make a template. As a tech at mostly dealers, it was my job to find the root cause for the repair. Too many inexperienced techs replace a part that is the symptom and are headed for a come back. Either repair or fabrication I feel better just knowing some care and developed those skills that like cream, rise to the top. I would count you as one! Thanks for the product tip and technique you have used! Stay safe! ASE master tech since 1978, retired. DK, Omaha, NE.
Check the Pom car panelbeater /builder on TH-cam. He cuts with angle grinder and micro blades. But angles cuts in so panel patch drops in perfectly. Not straight vertical cuts. Fixes all the problems of matching before welding.
