TBH, Joker would get the death sentence at this point.
I'm even surprised that Joker is still alive. Despite committing maybe hundreds of 1st degree murders and probably several unsolved murders, paralyzed Commissioner Gordon's daugther, killed Jason Todd, and many more he's still in prison instead of being executed. I mean the guy is mentally insane there's no redemption for him.
As Joker said it himself in Injustice: Gods Among Us. "You think that by locking me up, that it will magically reform me. And they'll be safe. So big. So dumb"

There really was a point when batman was just in constant grief. I mean all of the robins are basically his kids (except for Damien who literally is his biological son). But he adopts, raises, and mentors all of them. So before Jason was even in the picture. Dick Grayson had pretty much said "fuck you Bruce" and left. And they didn't speak to him again until around the time Jason came back. So there was a point when batman thought his first kid hated him, and he would never see him again. His second kid had been beaten to death with a crowbar. And Barbara Gordon had been paralyzed by the joker. Someone really needed to give that poor dude a hug.
Or he just needs a better Robin like for example Damian Wayne!

In my opinion (and mind you, you all can have your own opinions) , I truly believe that Jason is the better Batman. Think about it: by constantly letting the Joker live, Batman is technically responsible for all the murders and crimes he commits. Is letting one deranged madman, whose morals have flown the coop right out the window, really worth hundreds, possibly thousands, of innocent lives falling by his hand? For people like that, there is no redeeming themselves, therefore, Batman's belief in the potential good in EVERYONE is misplaced. Jason does what Batman is too afraid and weak to do: he's taking them out, not down, therefore he is the better Batman. Now mind you, in the movie Under the Red Hood, Batman said that it would be 'too damned easy' to cross that line and that if he did '[He'd] never come back.' Well he's wrong: it is easy to control the urge to kill, as long as you have a strong will, loved ones who keep you in line and are not in the presence of a deranged madman (and mind you, I have never killed anyone in my life). Most of the time, killing is not the answer to a problem or conflict, but if someone kills an innocent victim in cold blood for absolutely no legitimate reason, and they do not receive the death penalty for what they did, then maybe a little 'Red Hood Justice' is the answer.
The problem with batman is that he's not sane and killing people would basically make him the most dangerous man on the DC universe
I think jason is a more realistic batman, if there was a real life batman he'd probably be like jason.

Actually he only makes jokes and such because he was literally driven insane because he was beaten with a crowbar, blown up, revived using the lazarus pit, and then came back and took on one of the personas of the person who killed him. he's actually a lot more angry than the movie made him.

That's always been one of the main arguments of superheroes. When is it too far? When do they become the bad guy instead of the good using bad methods? I honestly love that debate and could go on all day about it.

Daredevil did it beautifully with Daredevil and the Punisher with both guys making solid points on how their way is better than the other guy's. That's where this one falters in my opinion. It gives Red Hood some excellent points but gives Batman no counter argument.

This is why I love Jason. He saw things way more clearly than Batman ever could. You can’t stop crime, you can’t stop bad guys permanently, and if you keep putting the villains away in a place that they have CONSISTENTLY ESCAPED FROM, then you are not trying to stop the problem, you ignoring and in that becoming part of the problem.
