One of my favourite helix models. Love using a 160 ribbon mic with the orange for similar reasons, gives it that nice warm, fat sound but still captures some of that bite, or blend in a little 57 for that big wall effect.
IIRC this model has been modded a little bit so the lower 1/3rd of the gain knob produces better pushed-clean/edge of breakup tones, and IMO the amp is extremely underrated for those, glad you didn't use the Orange for another high gain metal/doom sound

Does the revisited series mean the tones have been updated to the current 3.6 update?
Ohhh this may be the answer I was looking for to get my Vox amp jumper cable. I could perhaps add both amps and blend them with a dual cab.
