    Very much appreciated the insight (behind the scenes) you gave us as a former strategy professional. (As a former marketing professional I also don't understand and fall for marcom messages as I did when I was young ;-)

    Hi. Quick question. Each fund seems to have accumulating and distributing……..
    If I pick accumulating now and near retirement want to keep the same fund but change it to distributing do I have to sell the fund and buy the same fund under a distributing basis.

    • @coderider3022
      @coderider3022 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes sale required. I’m not sure having distribution versions in drawdown makes sense for all funds. Really depends on your notional buckets of money by risk, time / strategy etc. need a big fund with high dividend percent to avoid selling it anyway.

    Surely, there must be a lot more tax coming into the treasury coffers now. The personal tax allowance was frozen since 2020 at £12570 per annum and the 40% tax band threshold was also frozen at £50000 gross per annum. Plus we've had 20% Vat after 2010, road fund tax up and going up every year now etc

    Every time I try to incorporate emerging markets into my portfolio I find that the fees are more and the returns are less.
    Developed markets only for me in the future.

    Are ishares msci world and msci acwi etfs better or the same as the Vanguard ftse dev world and ftse all world etfs

    • @coderider3022
      @coderider3022 6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Short answer is they are virtually same, you can find the equivalent and track performance and see. ETF finder will show you costs and performance. Just know what your looking for DM or All world etc. Msci SKorea in EM is worth noting. Vanguard v ishares , shouldn’t matter.

    Thank Vanguard rebalance their Life Strategy ETFs on a quarterly basis. Otherwise their target allocations would suffer from drift.
