Honestly you are the only real estate agent on here that actually speaks beyond just how to make six figures as a new agent. You speak the truth, and talk about more than being a good agent; you talk about how to just be a good person. Absolutely think that in the long run if you are a good person, serve others before yourself, and remain educated and professional in the field of real estate. Even with all this other mumbo jumbo going on, you’ll still be successful and thrive!
"LEIGH BROWN" For U.S. Housing Guru‼️🙏💪❤️🇺🇲
Leigh this is FABULOUS!!!! He threw every agent in this country in a tail spin and has now joined our industry. 🤣 But I'm not mad. I'm still listing and selling real estate. Helping my community where my experience is needed.
Mad at NAR! For losing the lawsuit & for agreeing to the settlement! Commission structure can be clearer to the consumers by adding a “notice” to the listing agreement similar to the notice of the contract of sale. Not by omitting the commission of Co Broker from the MLS!
Thirty years ago Air Traffic Controllers were allowed to fly for free in the jump seat of commercial planes, if it was open. This was considered part of their training and available because of the good will of the airlines. Senators and Congressional Representatives could also take advantage of flying for free in the jump seat. The jump seat privilege for air traffic controllers ended after one disgruntled congressman got a law passed that prevented the airlines from allowing it. This particular congressman was told that the jump seat on a flight he was trying to board was already occupied by a controller. One disgruntled person can ruin things for a lot of people because of a petty grievance.
Well said. Thank you, Leigh.
Amen! This election has so many VITALLY important layers and elements. Very pivotal time in our country.
The commissions are too high. We paid our realtor $ 72.000 in commission in Florida last year. It sold in 48 hours. Outrageous! Other realtors wanted a higher commission which would have made their commission a lot higher than $72.000 !!!! Now the National Realtors Association ( they are just a group of realtors) are making it more confusing for buyers and sellers. It will always benefit the realtors.
@@r-anne7375 you paid 78k because the realtor got the job done in 2 days and you're complaining?
You’re doing great work
On Point!
Amen!
You would have my vote
Thank you, Leigh! As always you’re on the leading edge!
This is excellent info and advice! Thank you, Leigh!
Thanks Leigh! …We just shouldn’t be “required” by our MLS to be a part of NAR. How is that not a monopoly. We should be able to have a “choice”.
AMEN, Miss Leigh❣️My brain is FULL!
May I please just go do my job serving Buyers and Sellers ❓🥺
Always enjoy you honesty. It is truly appreciated. You need to join my group of real estate pros in clubhouse. We love you there! ❤️❤️❤️
Leigh, I love the way you put things! You have such a powerful southern bell kind of way. 😉😉
This new company is not starting a brokerage. If you read through their website they say they are not a brokerage, but will be referring buyers to their agents ? If they are not their agents, they can’t pay them, they have to pay their brokerage. It’s almost like he is totally clueless to how this all works and how many pieces of the pie get carved out. I honestly do not think it is going to go anywhere but down the drain.
Bless his heart.
I’m sorry but any one of us who has been in the business for 5 years could have WON THIS CASE & we wouldn’t have been in this situation. WHO to blame? NAR.
Time to go the way of travel agents. Buh bye
@@dennisdupuis1567 who, realtors? You think buying a home and going to Disney for a few days are the same financial commitment and complex transactions? HAH! Travel agents also have not disappeared…

I'd LOVE for you to have a position in the housing guru seat!!!!
Apparently the lawyer was a friend of the plaintiff who specializes in class actions. It is somewhat surprising that the NAR legal team did so poorly.
I love your comments. NAR has its place protecting property ownership rights I"m definitely okay with paying $150 a year in dues to continue to have them lobbying in Washington. There is more to this story and time will unveil what it's really all about.
People hate change. Change will launch us to a better level.
Amen, politics aside! These lawsuits have been very distracting and have taken focus away from our primary objective to deliver stellar service via expertise, advice, and guidance to people selling and buying their largest asset.
WOW! You laid it out about as neutral as anyone could. Great video. I will sub and keep watching. Thanks.
Can you tell me how this affects people that are buying or selling a house..
This was not thought through well. Those who think they are going to get a better deal are probably mistaken. The seller may not have to spend as much now to sell, but if they go and buy another house then they will pay again so essentially spending the same amount of money. Maybe even more because if they trade up then their commission to pay will be for a higher price which you will pay not the seller. Therefore, the person may be worse off. But then again most people do not think things through.
YOU GOT MY VOTE!! Three years in the game, and I ain't scared! Broker mentality, licensing loading…………!!!!!!!!!!
Amen!!
You seem like a really nice person. How many times have you told a potential client that RE fees are negotiable, when you know it wasn’t true? That is the crux of this lawsuit/ settlement.
Hi Leigh!
I have the best realtor. Love him!
Real estate Brokerages require agents to be a member of NAR. We have no choice & consumers do not really understand the difference.
The system we had was ok. Now people seem to think that Realtors should work for any fee you offer them. There is a reason why they call it "limited services." So now we see a race to the bottom on fees. Nobody wins.
Welcome Friend LOL (time will tell the truth!)
Amen!
I need to listen more to you and stop getting distracted by your beauty
I'm fairly sure he's thinking much larger than most other people do. If it's a flat fee place then he can run it with software.
AMEN
Expect him to sue because he feels shut out by Realtors
This woman is gorgeous!
NAR was complicit is settelling rather than fighting this absurd law suite. They could have easily won the case all they had to do is present all their agents and their clients to vouch for no harm done
He may end up reaping what he’s sowed with a nice lawsuit against his new firm.😂
Will he be exempt from law suits? Is he a member of the NAR?
PREACH MY CHRISTIAN SISTER IN CHRIST!🙏🙌
Irony. You have to laugh. I thought he started the company last year. Anyway where on earth is there an affidavit to read on the Missouri case. I realllllly want to read the evidence list and any court room testimony. It's so hard to find information.
I'd like to read it also. Where can I find it?
you love the the $$$
Maybe you should run for office!!
Something tells me that you’re being sarcastic. Now if the guy took his money he won after taxes and invested in futures and bonds than he would be less likely to invest in the housing/commercial sector. As we all know are being torn apart by inflation.
why5 to 6 %
Right - why not 7%
Too long realtors have made 6% commission off the sale of property; you are correct, it does not take much education - 6-18 mos- to get a realtors license; the large amount of pay does not match the small amount of education in comparison to education required of other professions; yes, it is difficult to run a self employed business, numerous unrealized costs we have no control over; our family delt with a scoundrel realtor who sold family property out from under us when we were in a fix and depended on him for professional guidance; there are caring professional realtors, and there are unethical realtors
Agreed. It does not take to buyers agent to buy a a car and it shouldn't take one to buy a house. Listing agents are important and can make a huge difference in marketing a home. Buyers agents are not important and should all charge a flat fee, as they do nothing different in the sale of a $100k home as opposed to a $700k home. Neither deserve 3% of the purchase price.
@@DybbukDEpsteinspoken like someone who’s ignorant of the process of buying real estate. A buyer’s agent protects the buyer’s interest ( has a fiduciary duty to his/her client) just like a listing agent does for the seller.
I hope you took legal action.
@@LoreLingner We were not aware of the process at the time 25yrs ago; now know to file complaint with the local realtors board ethics committe or file complaint to state atty general consumer affairs. We tried to buy the property back, new owners wanted over twice the original sale price.
Thanks for bringing politics into your channel. 😂😂😂😂
