@@huismands how far are you into the game? There are some late-game challenge missions that are only accessable after levels between 40-50. They force specific gimmicks and allow you very little damage outside of this. And also they will like 3-shot your agents. The game already has some really challenging content. I don't think it's impossible or unfun, nor do I think that means the devs should sit back and be done forever, but it's the sort of thing that I certainly wouldn't play on mobile.
yeah it's basically a 100% passive uptime of 1000atk buff, and top it off with her 25% damage increase She's the main role model of all shielders, showing that defense units are all going to be a hybrid of Defense/Support/Stun... basically a jack of all trades character.

1000 ATK is not that crazy since its flat "conditional" ATK, meaning its not part of the base ATK nor providing any multiplicative scaling. If we take f.e. a 2.6k ATK unit, then a 38% ATK buff would be better than 1k flat ATK. For 3k ATK, its 33% ATK and so on. Her main selling point is the debuff she provides which is way more efficent in terms of boosting the teams dmg
So Caesar can shield, can stun, can buff, can group enemies up, and her passive is so easy to activate she can be used in literally any team. And she's just a 1.2 character, I don't know how they'll powercreep this.

I don't think she will be powercrept till 3.0... The main reason for that is cuz she essentially created a baseline for what "Defenders" could do. so the next or future "Defender" characters will have essentially no choice but to focus on either Defending+Stunning (????), Defending + Buffing(Seth), or Defending + Attacking/Dmg(Ben). They will be focused on that. While Ceasar will be the only Defense unit that is capable of doing Defending+Stunning+Buffing+Damaging, at mostly ( mid range levels) Otherwise if they do create a better Ceasar, this just makes all "STUNNER" roles and "SUpport" roles, by standard "USELESS".

At first, I felt concerned about the defense class because they are kind of an odd one out without many purposes aside from shielding. But recent characters like Seth and Ceasar but them on a good path. They are powerful with defensive assist even rival the stun unit, but they don't powercreep stun unit since stun unit don need defensive assist to have powerful stun. Seth's core passive and defensive assist can buff and activate quick assist for the character in front of them in the line, which is the opposite of support character, so he doesn't conflict with support character in the lineup
Yea and I like how each defence character is so unique from eachother. Seth has the quickswap backwards which is unique, and caesar has the anti interupt and grouping capability. Ben has the insane damage on his block counter if you build him up.
i am kinda disagree, these defense agents are powercreeping all stunners, except Qinqyi and Lycaon. I upgraded Anby to 55 15/16 talents 50+/60 Wengine to only find out that i doesnt need her. I cleared even faster when i didnt use her on-field. The problem is that all she does is making 2 stun windows instead of 1. I would be okay if she does 3, but she is not that insane. Lycaon is just Caesar for Ellen, only agent's type is different. I think the only case stunners are needed is when your team doesnt fit to enemy's behavior (too agressive or too evasive like Thanatos), but to make it really worth, the DMG stun multiplier should be changed to 200% for all enemies and 250% for certain, instead of 150% and 200% now. Ofc Enemies gonna have +10 level increase for balance

Just like what you said, stun unit does not provide many thing except stunning, but they are efficient and effective in that. There are cases when defense unit can do stun better, but those are specific cases and not applicable in every situation like a stun unit can. Also, keep in mind that anby is a free unit and one of the first characters in the game, so her weaknesses does not mean stun unit is weak as a whole. Lycaon and qingyi have proven that stunner can make a difference in the team by having increased stun multiplication, so there is no reason to not have later stun unit go in the same directions
Remember, the only characters that don’t have Defensive Assist on them are Grace, Rina, Zhu Yuan, and Billy. Only four, making her possibly the most versatile character for a team comp in months to come. I think if someone were to start the game on 1.2, or needs some good teammate that will help their existing team, Caesar seriously is a no-brainer. All that talk aside, I don’t even care, man. I’m pulling her no matter what!

Caesar is my reason why i start ZZZ at all! I save polychromes from day one, skip everyone, play only on standart character, just to use all my 80000 saved polychromes for her. Hell yeah! Best biker girl need best stuff. If be honest, i dont care how she will be on meta, but i made her own team, where she will be main dps. A tank with a REAL gun! Cant wait for the update, good pulls to everyone!

Funfact...you can just also use a Stun engine on her as long as it has Impact Sub as it second stat. The passive doesn't matter becauwe the defense wengine passive fot A rank also doesn't matter for her.

This is the first time I realised that the 1000 atk buff is only for the on-field character, not the whole team at once, that means she isn't the best choice when it comes to a double dps comp of Jane and Burnice since Burnice will lose the buff the moment she leaves the field
we all know that they need time to add animations for each and every character. all of the 1.0 roster was NOT made to run around the overworld. based on Caesar and Jane, they are actually adding custom walking animations for each unit. which is amazing tbh. also i think the BIG factor of why they need time for this stuff, is that unlike other hoyo games, ZZZ units have their own unique rig/model. which mean that it's probably a bitch to avoid clipping issues in tight closed spaces, with the big boys like Ben or Von lycaon.
If I remember correctly, wengine passives won't affect her shield so for people who won't go for her signature wengine, it's better to use stun wengine with impact main stat(like koleda/anby signature) over other defense wengines
she is good but dodge and parry button exist so the hypershield is there to help people with skill issue. the support in this game gives more than just 1k atk buffs like nicole who def shred while also does high anomaly build up and 15% crit rate at M6, and lucy gives energy, atk boost and the piggies does plenty of dmg. idk she seems like an easy skip angle to me but im sure many just wanna pull for her because she looks cool and pretty or like her gameplay. massive respect for that. burnice tho i need that. gonna pull her regardless cuz imo anomaly characters are fun to play.
I mean, depends on who you have. Having the shield means when you do Ellen’s charged scissor attack for more stacks she won’t take damage and it’s harder to interrupt her. Also if you don’t have Lycaon you can use Caesar as your pseudo stunner if you want and now both her and Soukaku are giving 1000 attack. This also means if you still wanted to use Anby her 3 attack into charged attack combo won’t get interrupted so you get your stun. On a soldier 11 team you can use Caesar if you don’t have Koleda as your stunner, and use the attack buffs of both Lucy and Caesar, also your S11 will have an easier time timing the fire suppression attacks without being interrupted. Do you NEED her? Hard to say because the buffs do seem nice. But she’s not an easy skip in my opinion.

Kind of hard to say how much value her defensive utility really has because so far, survivability is a complete non-issue in this game, it's a game with built-in parry, dodge, and counter mechanics after all, you're not really meant to take damage if you play well. So I'm wondering if they're gonna start to add new types of enemy mechanics in the future to enforce this. Either way though, should still be a pretty solid unit for the rest of the utility and buffs she provides.

Like Zhu Yuan, Qingyi and Caesar now all have my favorite animations. Ellens is kinda mid in the menu. Janes are good but not as hot as zhu yuans and not as cute as caesars.

Man, I really love Caesar's kit. The perfect parry is so nice. Daze + Gives you a massive attack boost, her shield as well. She fits all teams, a universal shielder. The shield she gives is absolutely nuts, given how long it actually lasts and how much damage it can eat.
Ngl she looks so good that its too much. I consider not pulling for her just because of that fact. I already clear everything with no effort to the point that it is not that fun anymore and caesar makes it even easier. I dont know how it was in hoyos previous games but if they make endgame even harder standard banner characters will be unable to do it. During last shiyu i tried s11, lucy, ben/anby team and it needed 2 times more time to clear the stage compared to exclusive characters (ellen around 2 minutes, s11 4) even tho s11 is m2 and raw stats are simillar to ellens
It's safe to assume that Shiyu Defense is gonna get much harder soon. Genshin's endgame mode had 5 minutes time limit on release and It got cut to 3 minutes a few patches later. The same thing will happen here (probably)
The QoL in this update is just incredible. Mihoyo normally would've only implemented like 4 QoL features at max per patch and save the other changes for next updates but ZZZ devs just gave us like 4 versions worth of QoL in a single update
I was gonna skip all chars until much later but since I use Piper to clear stuff and quite like spin to win playstyle - Caesar seems like such a tempting pull!
In the selection menu it says that you can choose either siblings or agents you obtained ... so walk mode sessions with Jane incoming , btw Caesar looks insanely hot and fun to play

for someone like Ellen with long attack chains vs the new trigger happy enemies that just won't stop attacking, it's already kinda hellish tbh

Honestly, the most impressive part of Caesers kit is not the massive attack buff, but the interruption immunity.
the ATK buff is kinda meh since ZZZ handles ATK calcs differently. It's the 25% debuff that's way more important

After watching a few videos of Ceasar, I’m still not convinced if I should pull for her or not. It’s not like I need her but it would be less hassle if I do
I feel this way, myself. My Jane, Seth, Lucy team is plenty strong and pulling more resources into ANOTHER defence unit seems redundant. Still though, Caesar seems to have a very distinct appeal.

I save polychromes from day one, skip everyone, play only on standart character, just to use all my 80000 saved polychromes for her. Hell yeah! Best biker girl need best stuff. If be honest, i dont care how she will be on meta, but i made her own team, where she will be main dps.

Funfact...you can just also use a Stun engine on her as long as it has Impact Sub as it second stat. The passive doesn't matter becauwe the defense wengine passive fot A rank also doesn't matter for her.

This is the first time I realised that the 1000 atk buff is only for the on-field character, not the whole team at once, that means she isn't the best choice when it comes to a double dps comp of Jane and Burnice since Burnice will lose the buff the moment she leaves the field

we all know that they need time to add animations for each and every character. all of the 1.0 roster was NOT made to run around the overworld. based on Caesar and Jane, they are actually adding custom walking animations for each unit. which is amazing tbh. also i think the BIG factor of why they need time for this stuff, is that unlike other hoyo games, ZZZ units have their own unique rig/model. which mean that it's probably a bitch to avoid clipping issues in tight closed spaces, with the big boys like Ben or Von lycaon.
People complaining about Caesar are the same people who didn't want to pull for a defense unit because 'iM tOo gOoD aT dOdGiNg'.

If I remember correctly, wengine passives won't affect her shield so for people who won't go for her signature wengine, it's better to use stun wengine with impact main stat(like koleda/anby signature) over other defense wengines

she is good but dodge and parry button exist so the hypershield is there to help people with skill issue. the support in this game gives more than just 1k atk buffs like nicole who def shred while also does high anomaly build up and 15% crit rate at M6, and lucy gives energy, atk boost and the piggies does plenty of dmg.
idk she seems like an easy skip angle to me but im sure many just wanna pull for her because she looks cool and pretty or like her gameplay. massive respect for that. burnice tho i need that. gonna pull her regardless cuz imo anomaly characters are fun to play.
I mean, depends on who you have. Having the shield means when you do Ellen’s charged scissor attack for more stacks she won’t take damage and it’s harder to interrupt her. Also if you don’t have Lycaon you can use Caesar as your pseudo stunner if you want and now both her and Soukaku are giving 1000 attack. This also means if you still wanted to use Anby her 3 attack into charged attack combo won’t get interrupted so you get your stun. On a soldier 11 team you can use Caesar if you don’t have Koleda as your stunner, and use the attack buffs of both Lucy and Caesar, also your S11 will have an easier time timing the fire suppression attacks without being interrupted.
Do you NEED her? Hard to say because the buffs do seem nice. But she’s not an easy skip in my opinion.

@@bewe5473 What’s neat though is as you said, she can be slotted into multiple teams. You can build her and put her with Ellen, Zhu Yuan, or Soldier 11, etc. She can be moved around more than other stunners while also providing easy comfort

I wasn’t going to pull for Caesar since I didn’t think the buffs would be significant but holy cow, I’m going to have to swipe for her and get her to M6 just like Jane 😮💨
Kind of hard to say how much value her defensive utility really has because so far, survivability is a complete non-issue in this game, it's a game with built-in parry, dodge, and counter mechanics after all, you're not really meant to take damage if you play well. So I'm wondering if they're gonna start to add new types of enemy mechanics in the future to enforce this.
Either way though, should still be a pretty solid unit for the rest of the utility and buffs she provides.
I think the fact she can give 1000 atk buff to any character on field is freaking insane already.

You gotta play SIGNALIS! But yea, every character has been fire. Also sidenote. Is it weird I pull for the character menu animations. Like Zhu Yuan, Qingyi and Caesar now all have my favorite animations. Ellens is kinda mid in the menu. Janes are good but not as hot as zhu yuans and not as cute as caesars.

Man, I really love Caesar's kit. The perfect parry is so nice. Daze + Gives you a massive attack boost, her shield as well. She fits all teams, a universal shielder. The shield she gives is absolutely nuts, given how long it actually lasts and how much damage it can eat.

Ngl she looks so good that its too much. I consider not pulling for her just because of that fact. I already clear everything with no effort to the point that it is not that fun anymore and caesar makes it even easier. I dont know how it was in hoyos previous games but if they make endgame even harder standard banner characters will be unable to do it. During last shiyu i tried s11, lucy, ben/anby team and it needed 2 times more time to clear the stage compared to exclusive characters (ellen around 2 minutes, s11 4) even tho s11 is m2 and raw stats are simillar to ellens
It's safe to assume that Shiyu Defense is gonna get much harder soon.
Genshin's endgame mode had 5 minutes time limit on release and It got cut to 3 minutes a few patches later.
