I actually hit 175 in mine on a 4 lane belt-line on a early Sunday morning, nobody but me on the road… car felt like it was about to lift off the ground and fly lol thats when i took my foot off the pedal

I know what you mean. I have a ZL1 (non 1LE) and going on the straights at road America it gets floaty at high speeds. Not great.

I have a 22 Camaro SS1LE and a C5 corvette, Camaro accelerates faster but anything over 100mph and the old C5 will pull Faster than the Camaro.
I remember riding the C5 on the freeway during the beginning of the pandemic. It was open roads here in southern Cali, driving on a on-ramp to another freeway at 100mph, since the freeway was empty I decided to punch it, it hit 170 in no time, I think the car had more but my conscious said no more. As I was decelerating maybe down to 140 a GTR flew passed me, I believe he seen me going fast and wanted to catch me. I’m sure this GT-R was going close to 200mph. Crazy!
lol no... the new 6gen camaro ss will go 181mph stock.. the C5 will not.

@@galil12346 Nope, the corvette is made for high speeds with the super low stance and super aerodynamic. Trust, once this thing is rolling it just seems to get faster.
@josels1292 A C5 isn't faster than a 22 1LE I pulled away from a c5 in my 5th gen so I know a 6th gen will steam roll it
@@galil12346 Acceleration yes, 100 to 140 pull C5 is slightly faster. Unless that C5 is beat to hell. But my C5 runs like a champ. I still have both that I daily drive switching between the C5 and 1le every week.

Thank you for sharing my dream car experience, I believe a sixth GEN SS would make the perfect weekend car for me & I intend to pay off and keep my daily until the wheels fall off as I love it.
2015 Camaro RS 2LS Blue velvet automatic, Second owner 94k miles. I just had to get a new torque converter a couple months ago as the transmission started to leak and these were notorious for them having shaved down the weld on the torque converter. It’s like a whole different car now, automatic V6 and I even got second gear to bark one time 😂.

Such an awesome comment! At least u got it figured out now still a super fun car glad ur enjoying it! So the reason my engine light is on because the Camaro has what’s called Afm valves connected to the exhaust which is connected to the 4/8 cylinder mode the car comes with, by adding an aftermarket exhaust they didn’t come with a spot for the Afm valves to sit so by disconnecting them it throws a engine light. Not harm or anything just a pesky engine light. Working on that fix

@@panero718 honestly I don’t quite remember but knowing myself I think I started in first. I was on a stretch of freeway that’s completely straight for probably 20+ miles and it was early am and no one was out besides a few semi’s. Slowed down to a slow roll and then floored it. Was using the paddle shifters and had enough runway to get there. It crept up super slow to that 179, wanted 180 so bad but I chickened out last second cause I didn’t want to lose control 😅

What type of side rocker moldings do you have on your car they look like the stock Zl1 rockets , I just ordered a 2023 2SS 1le and want to put the sane ones on my car so if you can give me some information on them and his I can buy them oem part numbers etc. I would really appreciate it, thanks and your car looks amazing

What’s the engine light for ? Is the car good on dependability?
When you install an aftermarket exhaust on the Camaros they don’t come with an Afm bracket so the valves aren’t doing there job which throws an engine light. Car is 100% fine

Why don't you let the car shift on its own when going full throttle? It's slower when you use the paddles the whole way
