I'm just a small town girl that wouldn't even be on his radar, but I have to say that no matter how much bad press he gets he continues to be honest, bold, and God fearing. But they had forgotten a little over 10 years prior we had vets kneeling to the flag to protest their brothers lost in Fallujah to a pointless war they were lied to about in order to be brainwashed into supporting. But back then the left n right were pretty much in agreement about the war in Iraq, and how we shouldn’t have gone there. So because of that, right wing media didn’t fear monger the kneeling. And nobody cared. Okay so I’m like 24 years old right now. I literally just started listening to this song like a year and a half ago but I heard it right when it came out because my ex showed me it. But never decided to fully listen to it til a year ago pretty much. And damn, I can say that it hurts though cause she broke up with me two years ago do to my own selfish reasons which I have finally learned from within the last year. But this song always brings me back to the great times I had with her actually. It’s a bittersweet feeling to reminisce about the old times with her. But man this song is so amazing and very nostalgic. It also gives me hope still.
There is nothing better than growing up in the 80s. So many things to experience and the firsts for lots of things. I still live there and no one can bring me down to this chaos of bs. If you were there you know what I'm talking about. Thanks kid rock for knowing what life was all about.

As a teen in the early and mid 70's growing up in a fairly small town...Boise Idaho. This song hits right on. We had the best cars. Mostly mid 50's through mid 60's because that's we could afford. You could buy a decent car for $200.00.
This is my favorite "Summer" song of 2020. My husband and I dance to it in the garage everytime it comes on. Kid Rock gets better and better with age. LOVE it!!! Keep them coming man!!! We love your music!!!!😁😜😎💓
I like kid Rock, but I never really followed his career. I'm a huge die-hard Eminem fan *em and kid did a song together, and kid was also in the music video for the song berserk* I know with Eminem, he ages like wine, only gets better with age. But my question is, does kid Rock still make music to this day?
Thanks Kid for this powerful and thought provoking video. You took me through a whirlwind of thoughts and memories. I grew up in a small town and married my high school sweetheart. Forget being in your 50's and bringing back memories, i am in my late 60's. Thanks for great music and the walk along memorie lane!
Another classic from the great American poet Kid Rock.. Oh man brings me back to a memory driving around in my old school 74 monte carlo, breaking up with my girlfriend just so I could sit outside her work the next night playing "baby come back" from Player on the cassette deck cranked loud and proud just to get her back. Good memories!
I'm going on 61 this year and hearing his various tunes brings back so many good memories. I'm actually going to see him on April 15 in Columbus Ohio. Never thought I'd still be going to concerts at this age but ya kid rock just gotta go...
63 next my friend , go gigging with my son whenever we can , blue oyster cult , uriah heep, saxon , you name em , we go , , , can't beat it , a few beers , eats , , don't get better !
Kid rock wrote the perfect song for those of us that are getting close to 50. I'll turn 50 in just a few months, its like what the hell happened I was 24 just last week. It goes by fast, enjoy everyday.
Ya no shit. I remember 1989 like it was yesterday. Had a bitchin 1968 pro street elcamino, a sweet blonde 19 year old girlfriend, a good job and loads of cash. Now I'm broke, drive a mini van, the girlfriend I had passed away four years ago,,,, but hey, I have a great wife, two kids and three grandkids. I'm the richest man in the world.
Saw him do this song 10/8/22 one of my favorite concerts in 60 years short of Elvis. I can now say I saw another legend I can die happy. American patriot class act.

I'm 70 years old, lived through the 60s and some of the best rock and roll ever. And I just discovered how good this guy is. The diversity of his music, is deep. Plus I agree with them politically.
Kid Rock truly is a part of Americana and one artists that really cares about his fans, just look at the price of his concert tickets...then look at someone's like John Mellencamp.
***** Personally, I HATED All SUmmer Long. The music was a rip off, and the lyrics were atrocious. You got to be a good lyricist to write a nostalgic song that doesn't sound forced and cheap.
I really hope people will be able to adjust to him singing country. I personally like him better when he sings country. His country song's are really good. This one and roll on are 2 that make you reminisce and that's what country songs are suppose to do. Make you think back to better times in your life.
I went to Mardi Gras to get away from my first love, only to hear "All Summer Long" blaring out of every bar on Burbon Street and hating how much it reminded me of her. To, listening to "First Kiss" 15 years later thinking of her fondly in the past tense. Thanks Kid Rock.
@Jean You all are the damn best. I'm honored to have the kind of support that you show me, thank you. How are you doing it is nice meeting you here btw
Brian Conrad, ABSOLUTELY! I in no way am claiming to be a saint...or judging any1. But he is talented enough not to think he has to use so much profanity, especially in his earlier stuff. He has what it takes, the continuous profanity does nothing but take away
Carl Ramsey yeah because “darn” and “gee whiz” really expresses all the angst and pain that he knows, beauty comes from pain. Rage on rock I like it gritty and real, because to quote you I wanna feel it!
Made me go back into some old photos of the early eighties , with me my girl and my best friends , kid rock nailed it absolutely , not hard to tell that he lived it for sure , he didn’t miss a thing , wow , have tears in my eyes , thank you god for allowing me to experience those times!!
Good song. Kid was the dude I liked the most out of them late 90s rockers. He can pull off that country sound as well as rock n roll. Glad he strayed away from that Rap rock shit. Fred Durst needs to get the hint. Rock rap is dead, this song is for us older folks. Remembering them good times. Youth!
I don't know, this is too bland and soft to be called rock, too watered down to be even called country and too contrived and un-catchy to be called pop. So this is nothing.
but....I'm not old....and I loved his music my whole life...(13 YEARS OF MY LIFE) lol I went to rebel soul tour and im going to first kiss tour this summer
"... this song is for us older folks." -- or for those who are wise in that time goes by too quick. Honestly, I haven't hit high school yet, but I realize the importance of time and spending time with those you love (both family and relationship-wise). I agree with what you've said - Fred has basically ruined his image with the "rock rap."
Kid Rock nailed it! I'm 64 and would give anything to go back to 10/10/75 when I asked my now wife out, and she kissed me for the first time! I truly listen to this song almost every day, and it makes me happily - sad, a Good Sad!
I grew up with my first love. He passed away 12/29/17 in a head on collision. You never believe it can happen to you, yet here I am. Forever came. How I wish we could go back. Goodbye my love until we meet again.
whoa, damn. I had similar experience with a _very_ close girl friend years back. Sidelined by a distracted texting driver who was speeding. The impact so brutally severe it instantly took her life. There are no words... It fucking hurts like hell. Gone from this earth too soon, but the memories exist forever 💕 peace
Close to 50? I've put 50 in my rearview 4 years ago. This song still hits hard. Thinking about good times cruising the boulevard and having fight clubs and crazy s$#t in my backyard. We were young, wild and free. I wish I knew them they were the best days of my life. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids and grandkids, but to go back to that time, even just for one day (and night), would be my greatest dream. Thanks Kid.

Dick. See Dick run. Etc, they were called Dick and Jane. No reason not to be able to spell Dick when it on of the first words you learn to read.
+Tyson lauver yes Tyson he called me a dik, whatever that is for no reason. Look at the thread. Can you find a reason to call me a dik. I'm pretty sure he meant dick. Now as to you making the grown woman statement? Maybe its the name Casey? I am a man, I have two grown kids, both state UIL honor students. I'm not some white trash guy who insults people on the net because I'm anonymous. If you treat me badly for no reason I'll call you out. If you call me a dick and can't spell dick I just have to say something. Call it a male pride thing

What a great song. A time when you had no responsibilities and at the same time no clue how precious a gift it was.

Dodging the virus. Lucky to have a garden, beer and Kid rock. Thoughts with those that are struggling at this time...

What do you feel like 1980?
Okay so I’m like 24 years old right now. I literally just started listening to this song like a year and a half ago but I heard it right when it came out because my ex showed me it. But never decided to fully listen to it til a year ago pretty much. And damn, I can say that it hurts though cause she broke up with me two years ago do to my own selfish reasons which I have finally learned from within the last year. But this song always brings me back to the great times I had with her actually. It’s a bittersweet feeling to reminisce about the old times with her. But man this song is so amazing and very nostalgic. It also gives me hope still.
I can't get enough of this song. I listen to it over and over. I Love Kid Rock
Same
I'm listening to this right damn now lol. I love it!!

50 years ago my first kiss. What a sweet beautiful moment
There is nothing better than growing up in the 80s. So many things to experience and the firsts for lots of things. I still live there and no one can bring me down to this chaos of bs. If you were there you know what I'm talking about. Thanks kid rock for knowing what life was all about.
How long have you been a fan of my music?
@@KidrockOfficialChannel7050 I've been a fan for about 2 yrs. I first heard "cowboy" in a club I worked for, by a friend. That was yrs ago, I just started listening again real close and listening to the lyrics. I think you are awesome and I love almost all your songs. You have something to give to everyone and that is amazing. I'm not easy to impress but I have to say you have made an impression on me. I listen to you often now. It will be a shame if you retire now. The messages you send, everyone should hear and take to heart.

As a teen in the early and mid 70's growing up in a fairly small town...Boise Idaho. This song hits right on. We had the best cars. Mostly mid 50's through mid 60's because that's we could afford. You could buy a decent car for $200.00.
Boy, this struck a nerve!!! Memories....Great time !!!
This is my favorite "Summer" song of 2020. My husband and I dance to it in the garage everytime it comes on. Kid Rock gets better and better with age. LOVE it!!!

Great comment. I hope you keep having fun! Life is good, and KR has a way of evoking great memories and great feelings.
Thanks so much ❤️
I like kid Rock, but I never really followed his career. I'm a huge die-hard Eminem fan *em and kid did a song together, and kid was also in the music video for the song berserk* I know with Eminem, he ages like wine, only gets better with age. But my question is, does kid Rock still make music to this day?
@@rondutertre3367 just released new song actually 😂 it’s....kid rock-ish lol
I listen to this song at least twice a day to take be back to those days in late 60's and early 70's. Always puts a smile on my face. Glory Days!
I do as well.

The Very Very Best Song I Have Heard In A Long Time !! Brings Back A Lot Of Memories!!! Thanks Kid.

Boy do I remember this, my first true love, everything in this song take's me back to then, what I wouldn't give to have that love again.😢
@Jenny so tell me, what’s your name, where are you writing from and how long have you been supporting the band my dear?

I'm 70 years old, lived through the 60s and some of the best rock and roll ever. And I just discovered how good this guy is. The diversity of his music, is deep. Plus I agree with them politically.
Kid Rock truly is a part of Americana and one artists that really cares about his fans, just look at the price of his concert tickets...then look at someone's like John Mellencamp.
Do you honestly think anyone would pay more than $20 for his concert? This is the kind of music you hear at Wal-mart or somewhere
Whatever !
Paul Dragon are you saying people should form an opinion BEFORE they've actually listened to a song?
***** well, this song is not exactly a testament to his musical talent. It sounds more bland and soft than Nickelback.

The Kid has matured alot. Getting better with time.
Brian Conrad - I second that! Like fine wine it's always better with age!!!
HAPPY NEW YEARS to the finest Mr. Kid Rock! and to All his fans!
I totally agree. So much better. Would love to sit and talk to him for 5 minutes, as well as, with Eminem.
Brian Conrad, ABSOLUTELY! I in no way am claiming to be a saint...or judging any1. But he is talented enough not to think he has to use so much profanity, especially in his earlier stuff. He has what it takes, the continuous profanity does nothing but take away
Brian Conrad haft to agree seems his music just gets better and better!
You are so right, Michael Torres. I am with you and feel exactly the same!!
Totally agrees Michael Torres
but....I'm not old....and I loved his music my whole life...(13 YEARS OF MY LIFE) lol I went to rebel soul tour and im going to first kiss tour this summer
"... this song is for us older folks." -- or for those who are wise in that time goes by too quick.
Honestly, I haven't hit high school yet, but I realize the importance of time and spending time with those you love (both family and relationship-wise).
I agree with what you've said - Fred has basically ruined his image with the "rock rap."
This brings back A LOT of good memories miss those days
One of the best songs made. A song literally everyone can relate to.
Ya reminds me of my first crkhor ..shit memory
Kid Rock nailed it! I'm 64 and would give anything to go back to 10/10/75 when I asked my now wife out, and she kissed me for the first time! I truly listen to this song almost every day, and it makes me happily - sad, a Good Sad!
Don't care for his rap, but when he decides to go rock, does it damn WELL! Love this song!
Those were the times, we had no mobiles or PC`s and gathering with friends on Friday night was super special.
