I love Fallon's dress. Alexis wore dresses and suits like this frequently in her early seasons. It's something of a nod as to whose daughter Fallon is.
The current version of Dinasty finally make justice to Fallon's character but in the original show when Alexis arrived she was the center of attention.. I dont' think Nicolette Sheridan (the new Alexis) steals Fallon's thunder.. the producers of the new Dinasty are the same of Gossip Girl and they love how to create a bitchy, fashionable and also loving character as they did with Blair Waldorf
Fernanda Blunt Krasinski At least Fallon isn’t just a bitchy character, she’s a business woman although she is rather bitchy, but she works hard for what she wants.
I actually liked that the older women were the center of attention. Teenage to 20 something bitchy leads is a dime a dozen on tv and has been for forever. It makes a lot more sense for older women to have that kind of cunning, intelligent ruthlessness than a bunch of spoiled young women. I'll concede they could've given Fallon some actual ambition in the company against Alexis.
Just saw a trailer of it. Drew Barrymore as Fallon? Isn’t she like mid 40s. The show seems to be about her. Blake and Crystal are an afterthought! And it’s so trashy looking. I’ll pass.

I had forgotten the pilot episode was filmed in a mansion and not on sets. They did a great job of duplicating the style of the mansion and its furnishings when they filmed the series on sets starting in episode 2.
Been watching the reboot on netflix and i like how the reboot is more diversive! Sammy jo being a gay male latino!! Crystal being a latina and the colby family being african american
I wish the remark on CW, stay true to the original. However I like the character twist of the Sammy Jo character on the CW remark. I am not a big fan of the remark, the writing is not living up to the first season. But hopefully it will get better. NOT HOLDING MY BREATH FOR THAT..

It is right. She brings nothing to the marriage. He has all the money and he made it long before she came into the picture. Probably a clause of longevity would be in order. After 5vyears of happy marriage, a certain amount of money is awarded. At teh 10 year mark, a more sizeable amount.. and so on. I would never Marty anyone without a pre nup. Won't want to split money and property that had nothing to do with the person I'm marrying.
This show was a phenomenon in it's beginnings because Pamela Sue Martin was a real actor. She wasnt interested in being a star. She was interested in delivering a genuine performance. Alexis was a phenomenom. But her characther failed without the quality acting of Sue Martin.
The new 2017-2022 version of DYNASTY was too overtly satirical, too wink-at-the-camera, which why it bombed -- it managed to run 5 years due only to a Netflix deal which has now been canceled... Gilles is good as the new Fallon, and she evokes the spunk of PSM's original Fallon before she was watered down by the original Alexis (Collins) which didn't have to happen. But the '80s show had its own pathologies, and good as Alexis was for DYNASTY, once she was there, the writers seemed to lose any interest in the other characters, viewing Collins' Alexis as the goose that laid the golden egg -- which ultimately weakened the show, and even made Alexis herself less interesting.
