Foucault and Frontex - Discovering the Biopolitical Border in the context of the EU

In this video I talk about the Biopolitical Border in the context of the European Union and its border and migration policies. This is a critical perspective on border that applies Foucault's ideas about biopower and biopolitics to the concept of border. I refer in my explanation to the paper by William Walters (Walters, W. (2002). Mapping Schengenland: denaturalising the border. Environment and planning D: society and space, 20(5), 561-580).
