Exactly. They already have the plunger animation. Just tie it to the object so we can do trigger it when we want. Same with brushing teeth animations. Let us click on the toothbrush holder. Let us use the light switch to monitor the lights instead of just having to click the light itself. All of these ideas are in the game and don't require new animations. So frustrating.
Exactly this!! People have attacked me in other comments sections saying "it's a BB kit, not a gameplay kit, so of course they won't work". But we have so many other kits with functional objects based on what is already in the game (counters, home cinema, fire pit, stereo etc etc). The Sims team could have taken interactions THAT ARE ALREADY IN THE GAME and just used them for the objects in the kit. But instead, nothing is functional. And they've seemingly had this in development since September? That's plenty of time to have done this, Little Dica made those light switches functional in a day. It is just laziness pure and simple.

I'm honestly so disappointed by kits being a thing. If they have to be a thing, it would be cool if they were from our favorite modders or content creators to be able to give them more credit. But it just feels so cash grabby when they've completely taken away stuff packs and replaced them with kits which have a third of the content but for half the price??

I don’t hate kits to death as a concept, and I even like clutter items, but I feel like I could put this in my game and immediately forget I had any of it. It’s completely invisible. It’s a total non event that I will ignore now.
I thought they were going in a good path when they released desert luxe kit. Its not groundbreaking but it have good and versatile itens. Cluter kits is the most useless thing. I cant understand people who hype clutter. We could have a pool kit with slider and floats or a garage kit with functional cars, these are things that add to the game not clutter.

Especially since NOTHING is functional. Like why can't the toothpaste be put in the inventory and you can click on the electric toothbrush and brush your teeth, and the toothpaste runs low as you use it? A modder could definitely do something like that.
@@augusto7681 I get why builders get hyped over clutter, especially if they take screenshots for stories or do speed builds. But they definitely should NOT be costing this much. If you're putting a bunch of non-functional items in a pack, that's an outright scam. Clutter should be included in a bathroom pack with more showers and toilets. 🛁🚽

at this point they're making these kits only with youtubers/other content creators in mind, because thats the part of the community that needs more objects like this to ✨spice up✨their builds so all of them dont look the same
I like how the kit has a theme instead of general clutter but it would be soo easy to make these items functional, there is no excuse not to.
Like in theory, I absolutely love the items in this kit, they look nice and versatile with the swatches and like things that I'd use in my builds. But its really the fact that they're not functional that brings it down for me. Like we already have the ability to unclog a toilet and brush our teeth, I wish we could actually click on those item to do those things! Like maybe the plunger makes your toilet less likely to clog up or you can repair it faster? Get a moodlet from using an electric toothbrush?
I have the plant kit and I use it in almost every build and they are also mostly decorative items but that's fine BC they're plants!
@@TVDAnnu That's the thing, themed kits would be perfect to include cross-pack compatibility or expand other existing packs, this bathroom kit would be a great addition for laundry stuff.
But doing all that will take more time, effort, and money.
I use to be that person that would collect all the packs and when they introduced kits I quickly broke that habit. Bought a couple kits but no more. Refuse to buy my wedding stories. High school years isn't my jam. Genuinely just want game play that works. Sure, some of this stuff in this kit looks nice but it doesn't add any depth to the game. The candle isn't even a candle. There's a separate category for candles under lighting and when you click it, it'll say "Light this candle". Which means they couldn't even be bothered to make the candle, in this kit, an actual candle. They need to fire some people and hire people that actually care about quality control before releasing this crap.
I love how we thought we were gonna get a elder update or even a dentistry/teeth update, but we got an item no one will ever use 😭

Okay hold up... I don't play the Sims 4 so I was not aware that there was some bathroom clutter in the base game so I thought maybe this kit would add some nice 'new' items for those who want it. Y'all telling me they put out a kit of different décor designs that were already in the base game.. never thought I would say EA would leave me speechless after the my Wedding Stories but no they can in fact still make me speechless.
Also, they already have a clutter kit and could've updated it with new items. Instead making a new clutter kit

I totally agree on the point that in game there's not enough room to fit in so much clutter stuff especially when you don't use the move object cheat (I personally hardly use it). So most of them take up half a tile, on a counter you can put two or three, four maximum.
Well, if you can get mods, Felixandre and Harrie made a new bathroom set CC that is Ikea inspired. I really wish EA would do more refreshes or new careers for gameplay.

I can find similar clutter cc in higher quality some of these look very chunky and pixelated. I feel like they add the unused concepts for the kits, like how country kitchen was released before cottage living even though they both have the same style and could have been added together. I wonder if these clutter kits are also concepts from the family oriented expansion pack they teased

About the candle, there are other candles that just do not light up as an animation. It’s not just in this kit. I recently used these 3-4 candles that come this the base game and they also don’t have an animation. Even the candle lamps from the courtyard oasis kit don’t work. It’s really weird how some candles work like the ones from the laundry stuff pack and others just don’t. Needless to say, I only like 3-4 items from this pack and I’m definitely not wasting my money on this horribly rendered kit. I have to pay like 100 Turkish Liras here for one kit, I can literally feed myself for one week with that money. Also, why would I buy this kit when there is sometimes a sale on gameplay packs for like 160-170 Turkish liras? It’s just ridiculous.

EXACTLY! The pixelated toothpaste made me laugh so much. It looks ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS. I download a bunch of custom content and I have almost everything in this pack but for FREE. The only kit I’ve actually enjoyed is the pastel pop kit and found worth the price. Especially, if you’re following a family gameplay and need kid decor.

On the point of candles if they aren't going to animate the flame can we at least have a flame on the wick when it is on and not when it is off? There is a lack of attention to detail in the design team and this is just one example of that

I legitimately don't understand why EA doesn't send people like you these kits months before release so that you can tell them this shit beforehand, they can fix it, and then they can actually have a FUNCTIONAL product (if not a truly good one) by release date... Ngl I wanted rugs for the toilets for so long because it totally is a thing in Germany and I put some small rugs with move objects there but a "real" one would be cool and feel more like "my" sims and not American Sims only. I'll just look for CC 😁

appreciate the review, you have made very valid points. The Sims 4 has become an electronic hoarding pack. You know how hoarders have 5 of the same-colored shirts but with different thread colors.... lol...we are getting the same things over and over again with no gameplay at all. If 1 item introduced some different type of gameplay it would be worth 3$ at the least. If they gave us 2 items like the blow dryer (electrocution, kids with wet hair because they did it wrong, power outages from overloading the sockets in apartments) and the light switch at least with an option to control the lights like other lamps OMG 5$ it would be!
I like clutter, but it might be a bit before I even consider buying this.
I kinda like the lack of flame on the candle, because it means you can size it down without having a floating flame above it. If they don't fix it, then I wouldn't be mad

The other thing in the glass with the dentures is a retainer, which I think is a neat clutter item actually for kids/young adults/otherwise storytelling-

Idk if anyone else has commented but the second swatch of the dentures I think is a retainer. Also the toilet carpets used to be a thing here, my grandma had a whole matching set of bathroom rugs including a toilet mat (even though her loo was tiny) but I’ve not seen one in a long time.
I saw this and wondered how tf a stuff kit could be broken, but I guess they did manage it lmao. This stuff is…kinda cute I guess but it does have the exact same issues as the other clutter…my first thought was how much more we got in the pastel pop kit (bigger, actually functional items that are genuinely unlike anything else in the game but really not enough to make a whole stuff or game pack about, which is the only way kits should exist imo) and the campers kit (which I don’t own but agree has so much going on) compared to these “clutter” kits. Ridiculous
I think if some of those items were functional, like the electric razor and the toothbrush, light switches, the dentures/retainers, etc. It wouldn't be so bad. Maybe they'll do like they did with the everyday clutter kit and make some items functional.

Imagine the level of suckage you have to be at as a developer to make a kit with zero functionality or gameplay alongside amateur level models and texture quality, and have it STILL be broken in some aspects... Its a bloody talent, mate.

I appreciate you so much for posting this, this just reassures me of why i havent bought the last 4 kits lol. Like its useless stuff and the quality of the textures of the items etc are crap to put it nicely. If it was better quality more ppl would be willing to pay that's the thing. Watch alot will still buy but not as much as their previous sales! Also another note i've never seen towel racks that long ever in my life lol

I'll just say, that the thing in the glass other than the dentures was a retainer. Very common for post-braces care. They keep the teeth from shifting back to where they were before. IT was pretty hard to tell though. I have two (one went missing, then I found it), and I still could barely tell what it was.
I agree with everything you said also the base game clutter kit is so much prettier. I'd love for sims to use hair dryers, the lotions and get some bath salts in there. It's just really sloppy work. That plunger would also be fun to use on sinks and toilets. 😭 I'm not wasting my money on this

At this point I’d rather tell people to pirate the sims than to buy even one pack. Especially if they’re just coming into the franchise considering the full game costs over $600 USD

I have seen other streamers and their followers raving over this kit, they think it is excellent for builders. As long as people do that EA will keep giving us crap. We need to stand together and call them out for their greed and laziness.

Ok so it’s cool they added new items, especially the rug for the toilet, I’ve been wondering for years why we don’t have those in the game and I do like the nightlights, but I can’t see buying this. I was hoping for a new counter or wallpaper but I should have known that was too much to ask for.

I'm so glad you got out all the bathroomy clutter already in the base game. I thought the shower caddy was a little cool, until you pulled out the one already in the game. I'd completely forgotten about it because I don't use it. I really liked the everyday clutter kit, however I will not be buying this one. If they had combined the two that would have been great but this is just unacceptable
SatchOnSims - Agree that the kit is sort of just - not really all that necessary. Plenty of base game items, and plenty of cc.

You brought up such a good point about the gameplay, The Sims 4 is literally a GAME. It would've been awesome if the sims could actually use the toothbrush, hair dryer, etc. They really did the bare mininum and mods still have to clean up their mess. This shit is so frustrating
The pastel pop kit is so nice because it was a collab with Plumbella, she wanted a good amount of stuff that was thought out and cohesive. The only kit I will be buying is the pastel one lol

The hairdryer wire is also just flat. They could bundle this, bust the dust and laundry day together and then it might be worth the price.
A few kits that I like, the plants one was my style and the industrial bedroom stuff was nice and well made but it seems to be a quality issue with different kits so I get tired of the excuse of making it workable for all systems when the industrial kit was very good quality, the first fits one as well and a few more but the items for the bathroom kit are blurry and not well made? Make it make sense.

I refuse to buy any of the kits so far. The only one that I'm interested in is "Bust the dust" - and I heard it is still broken. Not going to spend any money on this when it's not even working. Not to mention that there are so many great mods out there!

If a basement clutter kit were to come out, It better have medieval torture chamber equipment in it. I mean, what else are sims basement good for if not locking sims? My vampire sim keeps her food in there, its practicly just an over sized fridge.
And not to mention you can find plungers, sponges, toothbrush, paint tubes/lotions in debug!
Back in September a friend sent me money on steam so I bought both kits. I am ashamed of myself. The quality is so bad for some objects, but the burnout is real and building is what I mostly do so I’ll take whatever I can get to decorate. The rugs disappointed me the most, but I do use a lot of the last clutter kit we got so I’m guessing same thing will happen with this one.
Just commented something similar in Lil Simsies video about this pack how the Sims team has an opportunity to add these creations to the base game so we can enjoy these types of things for free. Other games are able to achieve this type of updating to the base game for free(ie. Minecraft). They instead choose to get money out of every little thing they make. I would be so much more willing to spend my money on packs if they were to give more in the base game.
I saw a reddit post that showed some of items on the disheveled three drawer organizer were drawn/flat instead of being 3D. 😬
If things in this pack are broken...I just KNOW the babies update is gonna crack tf out of everybody's game🥲😂 Also, if any of you guys want functional light switches, the Hotel Bedroom CC Pack by Sixam comes with some.
Sixam and little dica both turned the light switches from this pack functional as well.
I wish they would have added some more bathroom sinks in this kit.
I bought the bathroom kit and the sims bedroom kit together and not a single pack is showing in my game??? Like?? My other expansion packs and everything is working, but the bathroom and bedroom stuff is MIA from my inventory. But if I click on the kits from the menu, it says "You already own this kit" So where TF is my stuff EA????
The wall decal disappearing is really nice if you play with the walls down. I don't need to see a floating whale all the time 😆
