How old is it
What a twist! And you'd think that they'd fix that by now. There's gotta be something wrong with the barrel and connector joint. The glue is high strength, the connection geometry is strong, unlike the old Easton Makos or the Louisville Xenos. The only thing i could think of is the barrel profile causing a weak joint. Unless their gluing process is super inconsistent. I've personality never seen one break but i hear about it all the time
Ive had it happen and seen it happen by I’ve also had the good with no issues the durability is so hit or miss and I think it has something to do with the connection piece. Was built in such a way where it keep the feel stiff and isolated but adversely sometimes making it less durable
I saw it happen to a 2021 cat 9 USSSA in a tourney. None of us could believe it.
my ASA Krecher did the exact same thing this past season. it was the first time I had ever had that happen

Except for the 6 to 8 weeks it's gone, being sent back for a replacement. Seasons most likely over when the warranty bat arrives.

@@adolfofurtado8295 I’ve heard of that happening with both bats. One of my teammates broke his end cap my freshman year of college and I broke my voodoo insane the same way (essentially the same as the goods) no more bat flips😂

I used both of these bats all fall and it was a toss up between them for me. The goods definitely has a little more barrel and creates good loft when you make solid contact, but the voodoo is sooo nice and my quality of contact was better with it and I actually hit one of my farthest balls as well. Really can’t tell you which one I would pick over the other because their so good. Good thing I have both😎

One of your best, most informative videos. You clearly explained the difference in the bats and why one bat might be better for a particular type of hitter, which is the most important criteria. Single piece bats are always going to be more durable but you have to weigh the pros and cons of each bat before laying out the $.

@@baseballbatbros I know you don't like talking about the Aeroburner anymore but would you say that the one piece is most similar to the Stinger Nuke when comparing to current BBCOR's or would it be another bat? Frankly, I'm looking for a backup bat if the Goods breaks mid-season.
Great ending! One piece alloys are King when it comes to being able to be bat flipped this is what happens to hybrid when you bat flip them. But I still have to say The Goods still takes it because it sounded fine before it was dropped 😂

While I do agree that it broke on the flip (kids, don't throw an expensive bat around on concrete) it should not break on bat flips. It was probably going to break on the next swing anyway. That being said, it did beat the Voodoo One. It performed better in the exit velo testing.

My son's 2022 The Goods 2 piece bat just telescoped after 11 months of use, during a bunt of all things. Getting a 2023 Voodoo one piece as a warranty replacement.
I'm a college guy and have swung both in-game and I personally think the Goods is better FOR MY SWING.
The RIP for the bat is so sad! JT also broke a wooden one during a competition. Awesome video!

Will maybe this is a lesson to be learned that you shouldn’t send bats with connector peices into orbit after hitting nukes
Here is a question for the baseball bat community. My son hits with a Voodoo One and loves it. The plastic end cap has cracked over time and is essentially gone now. Still, the bat has a ton of pop without that little plastic design on the end. What is the big deal swinging it without that plastic at the end? Seems it was more decorative than anything.
The knob on the voodoo one also breaks off
Yeah I’ve heard of that a few times. A looooot less than the Goods though. We did a durability survey a few months back and the Goods was #1
I think the goods should’ve won because when you 101 u grabbed the barrel and it was fine but when you did the bat flip it landed funny. That’s what I think.

Not enough Urethane in the joint area. Got to get a weight benefit from somewhere. Probably us some type of 3m glue at the factory. The reason why this is happening is because the handle at the joint area is smaller than the barrel there for the connection between the two is weak and not sealed properly is why it fails.

You probably won't believe this, but the other day me and my dad went to this store, and they had a bunch of voodoos, goods, cats, metas, noxs, and more.
When I went to look at the voodoos, they only had 30's and 31's (for only 300) 😭

They are both good bats but if you watch the video again you see how you dropped the bat aboustly it will break but they are both amazing bats and the voodoo is a amazing bat and the goods is a amazing bat too but I will go with the voodoo 100 percent becuase you can practice with the sweet spot because the goods is just all sweet spot but the voodoo has a specific sweet spot so final dicision the voodoo claps

Wow. That ending was great. We bought a goods lasted 6 weeks. Did the same thing. I hate how a $400 is only good for so few hits. Then the warranty for only one replacement is a joke. But that’s the industry standard. Make it hot make it not last give them one swap then boom sell more to these kids next week.

But all the 13 and 14u Babe Ruth players want to know more about swing weight differences between -5 USA bats and the voodoo One. e.g., 31 inch voodoo balanced -5 USA vs 31 inch voodoo one -3. Or the goods one piece USA -5 vs the voodoo one -3. as well as performance differences....
My son (Seth 11U) currently swings 31” Drop 8 Demarini CF Zen. However, he really really likes swinging Alloy bats now. After watching this video, do you have any Bat suggestions? He’s very strong for his age, and he between a Power Hitter and Contact Hitter.
