The updated DSL5CR is an all-tube, two channel combo capable of classic Marshall tone at a reasonable volume. With three 12AX7 preamp tubes and a unique push-pull power amp driven by a single ECC99, the DSL5CR offers true, all-tube Marshall tone anywhere from the studio to the bedroom. The amp also features a Softube-designed emulated line out with an accurate reproduction of Marshall's ubiquitous 1960 model 4x12 speaker cabinet.

trebles are very important yes and the tone knob too

It has a switch that changes it from 5 watts to 1 watt. This allows you to crank the gain and volume all the way up so that the amp has that cranked screaming sound, but cut down to only 1 watt of volume. Sounds awesome IMO.

I really hope the "pops" and "crackles" I'm hearing is from the video and not the amp itself. Good vid though. Looking for a Marshall amp that won't crack the ceiling for my home studio.

Hi. Is this already the best 8 inches speaker? Can we upgrade the speaker?
I'm not sure there is enough room in the amp for a 10 or a 12 inches.
It is a 10" speaker in there. We'd be willing to bet someone who was enterprising could modify it for a bigger speaker. :)

Mine only has two pre-amp tubes. Everyone has three in spec sheet. Can one of these be run in dual mode or however that is worded?
the old models had 1 tube for phase inverter, the new ones is mosfet PI
Actually the bridge pickups give a more muffled, boxy, but thinner sound. The neck side gives a brighter, more resonant sound cause its closer to the middle of the string.

why is cheaper than dsl5c? whereas this amp has reverb and dsl5c doesn’t have reverb
gujeff this is the newer dsl amps all have reverb the older models don’t have reverb
I have this amp, it's great for rehearsals and home use and even small clubs but this vid just "don't" cut it.
Purple Haze All videos are with a mic in front, it is hard for me to judge the sound level... in comparaison with normal speaking voice for example. When you say that you use for rehearsal, is it loud enough to play with a drum?
I agree home use and even small bar gigs because even though it’s only 5 watts, it’s a tube amp so it gives the volume output of about a 20 or 25 watt standard amp
Sounds very sterile for me i use it when need a lot of gain only. Changed speaker ti greenback, same thing. My origin 20h sound a lot better.
