I don’t know why my reply got deleted 🤷. I have slings on some rifles. It just depends. I do like a sling. It helps a ton. So many of my rifles rarely get shot, so really no need. I do need a sling on the ruger sporter. The other two are safe queens.
The Scouts, like any organization, isn’t perfect. I don’t agree with every decision they make. I learned a lot in scouts and had a great time and fellowship with my fellow boys.
@@UserName-ln5ol It really comes down to the parents who volunteer their time to be leaders that determines what scouts get from the organized activities. I’m sorry you had a poor experience. Change that for the next generation by being the next leader. I appreciate what you are getting at tho.

Do you not use slings on your rifles? I learned in Boy Scouts to use my sling as a stabilizing “third hand.”
