Someone hire this women to make instructional videos. This level of detail is amazing. I do wonder how cold this tent gets with that open part of the vestibule and open mesh front .
Thank you so much Henry!! It really means a lot that you liked this set up video and all the details 😊 Hmm I don't camp in the cold (it's only summer where I am, near the equator), but I think all the mesh is the reason why TNF lists this as a 3 season tent. I think it's mainly for summer and not for even the shoulder season. Sorry I couldn't help more on this issue though!
I agree that these are THE BEST videos for making educated choices for camping gear. I finally ordered the Wanona 6 after watching Liz's videos a dozen times. I do live in a cold climate and my plan is to make a simple ripstop fabric cover for that door and attach it with velcro in the colder weather. It might be my imagination but it seems tents in general are adding more mesh everytime they issue a new model.
I didn't get notified about this comment too 😔 Sorry! I only discovered it when I clicked on the actual video and saw your replies 😔 HAHA I agree with the more mesh too, maybe it's to cater to all the summer campers 😅
The open front door is very disappointing. I camped 5 nights with night temps in the low 40s. Heat literally went out the door. Also gusts of wind go under the vestibule and right into the tent. Burr.
Great guide. Thanks for putting it together. Just bought the Wawona 6-person and was struggling to put it together using the instructions, but found your video and it was a snap after watching. Many thanks!
I'm thinking North Face should include a link to your video for first timer. I've seen a few videos on the Wawona's set up, but I think yours are very concise and informative, and the tips would definitely be very helpful. Good job!
OK - Just bought this tent and watched the video before setting up for the first time. I know I'm at risk for acting too enthusiastic about this video but others have gone before me ;-) so YES! This may be the best product video I've ever seen and I use TH-cam a lot for education on products and maintenance tasks around the house. I know editing went into this but I also know not much on the dialog which is pretty freaking amazing. You are incredible at this Liz. I hope you get rich. It's thorough without being overdone. It helped my wife and I set up our tent (just got it from REI on sale) first time in about forty minutes without risking our marriage :-) or using profanity. We're both 70 years old - yeah "old" and it still made it a breeze. Thank you SO much. I wish you'd do this for every product we buy.
Hi Michael! Thank you sooo much for taking the time to write such a lovely comment, that means so much to me that you liked this! I'm really glad that your wife and you managed to set it up well! And don't worry, after getting used to it, the second time will be much faster. 🥰
Great video. I just bought the north face wawona 8 there is no detailed video as of 9/28/23. North face need to send you a wawona 8 to review! Your video on the wawona cleared up a lot question thanks.
Thank you so much! 🥰 Aww yeah I definitely do not have the funds to purchase the same tent in different capacities for now 😅 I'm really glad to help you with your questions though! Let me know how you find the Wawona 8 if you have the time? I'd love to hear about it.
I just practiced setting this up for my upcoming trip. I followed your instructions exactly and followed your tips. They were very easy to follow, and the tent wasn't bad for one person to set up. Just that last pole going into the grommet. I also bought the extra stakes and guy wires. Probably won't need them, but I'll have them if I do. I'm going to leave it set up for a few days to get everything stretched out, then take down and pack it away. Thank you for uploading such a good, informative, easy to follow video.
Wow! Thank you so much for your updates, it's really great to hear from you again 🥰 I'm really happy that the instructions and tips were helpful! And yeah!! Somehow the last pole is just so hard to get in. I hope you didn't take as long as I did to get it in 😂 Hope it works out better once everything's stretched out! Let me know how your real field test goes if you have the time! 😊
I'm about to set this up for the first time for an upcoming camping trip. I gotta say this is the most clear/awesome setup video for any piece of camping gear I've ever seen.
Just a got this tent a couple of weeks ago after watching several videos on what tent to get. Including a lot of yours. I finally set it up for the first time today. This video was so helpful. I had full confidence that i could do it on my own thanks to you. Especially since we are about the same height. Can't wait to use it
As a solo female camper who just bought this tent, THANK YOU so much for this video!!! North Face & REI definitely need to pay you for this video and provide a link ;)
Aww thank you so much! 🥰 It really means a lot to me that you think so hehe. I'm glad this video helped you out too! Let me go reach out to North Face and REI when I'm bigger and perhaps can negotiate something then 😉
@@CampingGuidance Yes--It went very well. I took notes on my phone from your video for the correct sequence and followed it step by step. It was fun to figure out how the tent worked and to see it come alive. Sadly, it's looking like the weather will cause us to cancel our camping trip this weekend.
@@OchoVerde That's awesome! Thank you so much for letting me know 😊 I'm really glad that the video could help! Oh man I'm so sorry to hear that though :( I hope you'll be able to use the tent soon! I actually managed to thoroughly rain test it and it should be able to keep you dry 😊
Thanks for your videos on this - first the review and weather test and then this setup after I purchased it. We got it up and down this weekend with ease and without glancing at the instructions thanks to this video.
Aww thank you so much for taking the time to let me know! 🥰 I really appreciate that and I'm really happy to hear that you managed to set it up and tear it down no problem!

Let me know if you do reach out to them! 🥰
This week we will follow your guidance and tips to do a practice set up before our first adventure. Congrats on this and your other videos. Wish I had you 50 years ago to teach me math!!!
We recently experienced high winds and torrential rains for several hours. This tent kept us comfortable, dry (not a drop) and confident for the future. Thanks again and we will continue to check out your reviews.
Another tip! When putting on the rain fly if you’re having troubles getting it over I liked putting the toggles on the back first then threw the front over and didn’t fall
Thank you so much for supporting the channel! 🥰 Oh man is the footprint not available? It could be sold out so you might have to wait a little while :(
I went to REI and they told me that this version of the tent may be being discontinued, hence the inability to find a foot print. I was disappointed, and picked up a different footprint that seemed similar in size.
You're videos are on another level of detail, you're amazing. I picked up the gray/green version of this tent off of amazon for nearly 200 off. Open box, I was worried but it set up great and its pretty simple. For what it has rain & porch, I was surpised with the ease of setup! Hopefully mine holds up to the rain test like yours did!
Oh wow 200 off is fantastic, I wish I had that too! I paid $700 in my local currency for this, which was insaneeee. Have you managed to test this in the rain yet?
I bought my Wanona 6 based on your recommendation about 9 months ago but didn't get a chance to try it out. It is difficult to stretch the body of the tent onto the poles so your struggle made me happy that it wasn't just me. You explained the set up so well. It feels smaller than my REI Kingdom 6's and Nemo Wagontop 6 due to the angled back wall but the well fitted, large vestibule and your testing of rain resistance has me convinced it's the right tent to take on an upcoming 7 day, multiple site trip. Plenty of room for a large cot, chair and table and my collapsable cabinet. I now own 9 tents and can't name one as my favorite as they are all best for different conditions. I'm trying to take up backpacking so I'm researching 2 and 3 person tents next!
Hey again Deborah! Oh man I'm so sorry that you didn't get a chance to try it out and YEAH I've heard that from others as well, but just leave it set up for a few days, and it'll be all stretched out, and the next time you set it up, it'll be sooo much easier. Please let me know how the upcoming 7 day trip goes! I'd love to hear about it 🥰
@@CampingGuidance By the third set up, it did stretch out, especially after getting rained on. We had a LOT of rain and I had no leaks at all (except when I left the back door unzipped during a thunderstorm). The big vestibule included with the tent is the best bonus as it really works well as a mud room and kitchen area. I have a really nice set up with a cot, chair and small table and a foldable cabinet.
Wonderful guide! We had set ours up similar to yours and struggled a little bit with putting up through the initial grommets. We'll be sure to use the tip you gave for staking it out beforehand next time!
Hey Lizbeth! Glad you liked this video! 😊 Hmm do you guys use tarps or canopies for your other camping gear? I think the best way to keep this tent dry is to set up the tarps/canopies first, then set up this tent under it. I've also tried setting the tent up underneath the rainfly, but that's more of a PITA haha 🤣 But as long as you get the rainfly covering the mesh panels of this tent, it won't get too wet inside!
Awesome video! Terrific tent, purchase yellow and grey version last fall. They were sell like the hot cakes then was difficult to buy. Very well constructed and really holds up good. Also bought footprint and although its an extra cost thinking it was worth it. Also added another tarp for vestibule and bought some better tent stakes. Such the cool tent really appreciate its design and it packs up so nice. Hoping to maybe go camping again soon
Thank you so much! I’m really glad that you liked the video and thank you for sharing your experience with it! 😊 oooh I had no idea they were selling like hot cakes last year! Luckily I only bought it near the end of the year so I had no trouble with it. Wow you really went the extra mile with the footprint, vestibule and stakes! That’s so awesome! Really hope you can go camping again in the Wawona soon! 😊
I've had a hard time finding a green one but REI put me on email alert when they were available. The first time I got a notification, they sold out before I could order. Today I woke up at 6 am and was able to buy it (with affiliate link from CG) using the 20% coupon. Can't wait to use it in about 6 months when the snow is gone, lol.
OMG sorry about this Deborah! I have NO idea why YT didn't notify me that you posted a comment here 😔 Thank you so much for taking the time to use my affiliate link! That truly means a lot to me 🥰 I'm looking forward to you using it too!
This and your video showing the Wawona 6 in flood conditions convinced me that this is the tent for me. And your tips on setting up were very helpful. One tip I would add is to attach the rain fly to the back of the tent using the 2 toggles provided before pulling over the top of the tent. That ensures that the rain fly doesn't pull completely off the tent & keeps it oriented in the right position to do the rest of the setup.
@@CampingGuidance I've used it a couple of times now and love it. It's tiring for me to set up by myself. The fact that I'm 70 years old doesn't help. The only problem I've had is that the tent pads in established campgrounds are too small for this tent. I had to overlap the tent on both sides of the pad the last time I camped. But I love the spaciousness inside the tent itself and the attached vestibule.
@@ArizonaAbby I'm really glad that you like it! But yeah it isn't an easy tent to set up yourself :( It took me 20 minutes after loads of practice and loads of rushing HAHA. At least after that you get all the comfort you need!
Hi Gregg! The longest length of this tent is about 200 inches (measured from the back wall to the tip of the vestibule). The longest width comes in at about 99 inches. There's a quick shot of the marketed specs at 03:49 if that helps as well! 😊
Wow thank you so much James! I'm really glad that you liked this review, and yeah I do think that this is much better than the Wonderland! 😊 Could I trouble you to use my affiliate link (in the description) when purchasing this tent since you're buying it based on my review? 😊 There's absolutely zero cost to you and it helps the channel out a lot for sure! 😊 Only if you want to of course, no pressure!
Great instructions helped me massively a couple of days ago, only thing i would add is if you attach the two velcros straps at the back of the rainfly onto the body of the tent, it is much much easier to pull the fly from back to front without it falling off.
@CampingGuidance I had to come back to watch this over and over to see how you folded the rainfly. Kind of a pain in the butt by yourself, especially if there's any wind. You make it look easy lol
@@CampingGuidance Hi! hi! 😊 I usually camp with a group, but on this occasion I was alone. I was doing a test fit on a foot print I bought. The North Face one for the tent is NEVER in stock anywhere. After checking measurements online, I bought the one for the REI Skyward 6. It's almost a perfect fit. Around an inch off length and width VS TNF one, only has the 4 grommets for poles instead of 6, and no extra material in front of the main door for shoes, etc. It was fairly cheap at $26 though, compared to the ridiculous $65 that TNF charges. I'm happy with it though. I do a lot of camping in California and Arizona, so I really need ground protection for the tent. Sometimes even multiple layers under it. Usually, I don't bother with branded foot prints and just use a tarp, but I wanted something a little nicer and compact for this tent.
Hi, thank you so much for your detailed review!! I'm wondering in hot summer, if you want to remove the rainfly from the top so can see the sky from inside, can you still have the vestibule at the front of the tent?
Hi Ada! Thank you so much for your kind words and I'm really glad that this video could help you out! 😊 As for the vestibule, when you remove the rainfly, the vestibule will come off as well because it's just one huge sheet of rainfly. Not separate like in other tents :(
I have a question about the rainfly and this may be a really...really ignorant question... can the rainfly be used without attaching the vestibule or does it have to be used with the vestibule to be properly set up?
Hey no worries! I really appreciate your comments and no question is a silly question 😊 feel free to ask me anything! and sadly I don’t think the rainfly can be used without the vestibule. It isn’t attached separately so you gotta set it up when putting the rainfly. I wish they did it separately too! That would be so cool.
I was watching another one by some guy and it was pretty lame in terms of details of the set up. This video is WAY better. Very good step by step instructions that covered the little things and tips to facilitate a smooth setup. Kudos!
I had issues with the pole not staying where you put it, not on this tent but another with the same type of setup. I gave up but at 72 i figured it was ok. Yes these are good videos and they cover everything the lady has a nice logical way of thinking. The new Fanntic tents ARE easily set up even by an old fart like me =)
Just a heads up. I just purchased the North Face Wawona 8 at Moosejaw for $428.00. I couldn't pass up the deal. Not sure if you are interested or not or if you can have one shipped to you. I made my purchase based upon your great review of the 6. The one thing I liked about the 8 over the 6 is the door is fabric halfway up. I am thinking I can maybe squeeze some 3+ season camping with the additon of a diesel heater. Thank you so much for your wonderful reviews.
Hey Wayne! Oh wow that is an amazing deal! I got my 6 at $500 HAHAHA full price 😅😅😅 Glad that you managed to get it. And weirdly enough I haven't been able to get the Moosejaw website to load up for weeks now, so I don't think I can take advantage of the deal sadly. I'm not sure why. Oh maybe you could! Let me know how the 8 does in 3+ season camping if you happen to use it! I'd love to know. 🥰
@@CampingGuidance Will do. I intend to do a trip this weekend. In the mornings it has not gotten below 40 this week but that should give me some idea how well it will perform. I also managed to snag a maxspeedingrod diesel heater that will hopefully provide enough heat to stay comfortable. Being from the deep south I am a wusse when it comes to the cold. I will keep you posted.
@@CampingGuidance TH-cam has been regularly dropping comments so I had to redo this one. Hopefully it will not be a duplicate. For sure, I will let you know how well it performs. I intend to campout for a few days this coming week. Nights here in Louisiana have regularly been down into the low 40's and high 30's so it should be a good test for 3+. I also managed to snag a maxspeedingrod 5K diesel heater from Amazon for $84. Pretty nice looking unit. I have it together now and will get some diesel today and see if it warms up or blows up. They have great reviews. I also have a Big Buddy heater on a 12lb bottle but I would prefer not to use it. Hard to believe for each pound of progane you burn it produces 1.6 lbs. of water. So, you not only get a damp heat you also get a lot of condensation. We shall see. I will let you know how all of this goes. Thanks for your reply.
@@WayneTheSeine Oh man sorry about that Wayne :( But yes sometimes my TH-cam comments disappear, and my viewer comments sometimes disappear too, which is a PITA. And wow that does sound like a nice setup, I really hope that it works for you and that the Wawona won't be too cold while you're camping! I'm looking forward to hearing how it goes for you 🥰
Thank you so much! I'm glad that this video could help you out! 🥰 Hmm honestly the tent stakes are like the budget tent stakes you get in all tents, even in brands like Coleman haha. If you're expecting strong winds then they definitely need to be changed out!
Always the best tent videos to watch. So close to buying this tent but keep thinking the Marmot Halo 6 is better choice after nixing the Copper Canyon due to rain coverage and thin floor etc. Any chance a review of the Halo is on you agenda as the good reviews are scarce which is surprising since it is a highly rated tent from what I can tell. Thanks.
Thank you so much Patrick! You're so kind 🥰 Ah, so far no plans to review the Marmot Halo, as I ran out of money to buy more 6-person tents 😅 But I will add it to my list, so maybe next time! I think you can't go wrong with either tent though, they're really great tents from great brands (and better than the Copper Canyon for sure hahaha)
Hey Bernard! Oh wow thanks for wanting to support me through my links! I really appreciate that 🥰 Oh I got mine through Amazon SG! But I paid a bomb for it omggg ($800). That's the price of not living in the US hahaha 😅
Liz, thank you for your great videos. I bought the wawona 6 based on your tests. But I don't think the link to rei worked as I was transferred to another page. (Yes it was still REI). I would like to make a modest donation, but I've read that TH-cam takes a significant portion of the $. Do you have a presence on any other media that I can use to make sure you get All the money?
Hey Robert, oh wow that's so incredibly generous of you, I really appreciate it! Strange that the link to REI didn't work, thanks for letting me know, I'll check on it! Hmm I don't have any other media or any donation page though, but I REALLY appreciate you wanting to donate, that means sooo much to me 🥰🥰🥰 If you want, you could just use any of my Amazon links to buy stuff off Amazon, I will probably get the commission even if you buy almost literally anything 😂
Great video! Question: Has the front door open mesh now been covered by North Face designers? If not then how can one cover the opening? Pasting Zack's review from North Face's website for same tent from 2 years ago highlighting the flaws with the front open mesh: "The half fly and completely mesh front doors are a terrible design that fails any time the tent is placed in windy cold, sandy or dusty areas. The half fly directs wind directly into the tent via the mesh openings at the top of tent. Along with the full mesh front doors, dust and sand particles easily enter and accumulate inside the tent. The tent is terrible for any environment where there are cold winds and or dusty/sandy windy areas. Im speaking from experience of a tent filled with dust particulate after a trip to the high desert. The half fly made the situation even worse by directing the wind chill directly into our tent causing super cold conditions. This tent could have easily been the best tent on the market, however the marmot halo 6 has it beat due to these very important, but overlooked design features. The tent is excellent outside these conditions, but at this price point, it should be able to perform adequalty in the aforementioned environments, as there are many cheaper tents that perform perfectly in these conditions. This is an easy fix by engineers that could make this the best tent available, but until then stay away."
Hey there! Thanks for the comment and the question! 😊 And sadly no, the front door open mesh hasn't been covered. It's currently just one entire wall of mesh. I think the review you pasted got it right - it's definitely not for use in dusty/sandy/cold environments. I personally don't camp in dusty/cold environments, so it's worked plenty well for me. This is purely a summer tent, not for shoulder season camping. If you wanna camp in the colder temperatures, I'd recommend the REI Base Camp instead! (I tested it as well and it's on my channel too.) There's a full fly there, and much less mesh, so it'll definitely keep the cold/dust/sand out much better! Otherwise, it's gonna be pretty hard covering the front door open mesh, it's pretty huge. I hope this helps! 😊
So we bought the Wawona 8 and it held up pretty well on the camping trip. It rained for 36 hours and there was no water leakage. However, when I ran a white tissue paper on the tent's inside wall it did get wet. I would have expected it to remain dry with the tent having a higher hyrdostatic head. Interestingly, in your test of the Wawona 6, the inside walls stayed dry during intense rain.
@@KoalaK-o2r Hey! Thanks for the update! 😊 Oh did you watch the full rain test or the full review? I actually talked about the back wall becoming wet as well after many hours of intense rain, in both videos. If you don't wanna go back to it again, the gist of it is that the back wall got damp. No leaks into the tent or anything, but my hand was damp when I touched the wall. Much like what you experienced. It does have a fairly high hydrostatic head rating, but even the best tents will get slightly damp in too many hours of intense rain (at least that's what I experienced). I hope this helps!
I have had a North Face Mountain Manor 6 person tent for 13 years. It is great and easy to put up but now worn out. I hate having to slide poles through long sleeves such as this as the snagging is annoying. It is a deal breaker for me. I am going to look for something easier to erect.
Thank you so much for the input on the Manor! I didn't find the Wawona overly snaggy though when sliding the poles through the sleeves. Let me know what you eventually go with if you have the time! 🥰

@@stevenniemi5001 Thank you so much! I'm really glad that the tent held up so well 🥰
Another tip! When putting on the rain fly if you’re having troubles getting it over I liked putting the toggles on the back first then threw the front over and didn’t fall
Thanks so much Ryan! 🥰 That's definitely a super great tip to have! Something that I will definitely use next time when I have the chance.
Ive always been afraid of our tent but now with this video i am free of dread. Thank you so much for this.
Aww I'm really glad to hear that Jun Kim! 🥰 Have you managed to set up your tent yet?
Thank you! Finally got this tent. Now if only I could find the corresponding footprint somewhere 😂
Taking ours camping for the first time!
How was the tent
This was absolutely the very best instructions
thank you so much Donna! 🥰
“You’re videos…” “you’re amazing” 🤣🤣🤣 Someone here doesn’t know the difference between you’re and your 😩
I bought my Wanona 6 based on your recommendation about 9 months ago but didn't get a chance to try it out.
@AW Thank you so much! I'm really glad that you liked this guide 😊 I hope the tip helps you next time! Let me know how it goes 😊
Great video! Any tips on setting this up in the rain?
Hey Lizbeth! Glad you liked this video! 😊 Hmm do you guys use tarps or canopies for your other camping gear? I think the best way to keep this tent dry is to set up the tarps/canopies first, then set up this tent under it. I've also tried setting the tent up underneath the rainfly, but that's more of a PITA haha 🤣 But as long as you get the rainfly covering the mesh panels of this tent, it won't get too wet inside!
Great review
This was great! How many total extra guy lines and tent stakes does this tent need?
Thank you! Extremely well done!😊
thank you so much Nathan! I'm really glad you found this helpful 🥰
That's definitely a great tip Abby, thank you! If you managed to get and use the Wawona, I'd love to hear about it! 🥰
Thank you 🙏🏾
Great video. Thanks!
Thank you so much Matthew! I'm really glad you liked the video! 😊
How big of a space do you need to set the tent up? I havent been able to find that information anywhere
Hi Gregg! The longest length of this tent is about 200 inches (measured from the back wall to the tip of the vestibule). The longest width comes in at about 99 inches. There's a quick shot of the marketed specs at 03:49 if that helps as well! 😊
Thanks 😊. Very helpful.
thank you so much 🥰
Great review and demo, thanks to your video, I’ll be buying one of these instead of the REI Wonderland
Fantastic video. Clear and precise. Thanks alot. Well done.
Thank you so much Bernadette! I'm really glad that you found the instructions helpful 😊 Hope you manage to set up your Wawona with no issues! 😊
Great instructions helped me massively a couple of days ago, only thing i would add is if you attach the two velcros straps at the back of the rainfly onto the body of the tent, it is much much easier to pull the fly from back to front without it falling off.
Yeah that's a really smart move! I should have thought of that hahah. Thank you for letting me know!
@CampingGuidance I had to come back to watch this over and over to see how you folded the rainfly. Kind of a pain in the butt by yourself, especially if there's any wind. You make it look easy lol
Hey Matt! 🥰 Oh yeah windy is definitely a pain :( Do you camp with others around? Having someone to help makes it sooo much easier hahaha
Kudos!
Thank you so much Alan! I'm really glad that the set up instructions were helpful for you! 🥰
I didnt actually find inetructions with mine, so i appreciated the video.
Thank you so much for letting me know Matthew! Glad that this helped! 🥰 (Edit: I had instructions with mine, but they weren't great haha)
Wooo thaks for this video helped me a lot!
Hey Riley! I'm really glad that this was able to help you out! Thanks so much for letting me know 🥰
I had issues with the pole not staying where you put it, not on this tent but another with the same type of setup. I gave up but at 72 i figured it was ok. Yes these are good videos and they cover everything the lady has a nice logical way of thinking. The new Fanntic tents ARE easily set up even by an old fart like me =)
Thank you so much I really appreciate the kind words! 🥰 Oh man on which tent did you have trouble setting up the pole?
I'm looking forward to hearing how it goes for you 🥰
I found your missing comment! Haha somehow it went to my spam folder, sorry about the Wayne! 😅
I can’t count how many tent videos I’ve seen. Yours is by far the best.
One question, do you think the tent stakes are adequate?
Question: I just received my rent today. Is the two crossing pole perfectly straight or slight bented?
Hi! Sorry what do you mean by the two crossing pole? There's one pole that's bent in 2 places, that's the pole for the vestibule, right at the front!
@@CampingGuidance thanks
@@CampingGuidance does the pole have the "DAC" logo printed on it
@@dede6110 No worries! My pleasure 🥰
@@dede6110 Oh no mine doesn't. Does yours?
This may be the first time I have ever had a tent go back into the carry bag with relative ease.
Nice!!! Really glad that was the case. The carry bag is pretty awesome 🥰
Hi Liz, I’ve checked out ur affiliate links and they don’t seem to ship to Msia / Singapore. How did u get urs?
Hey Bernard! Oh wow thanks for wanting to support me through my links! I really appreciate that 🥰 Oh I got mine through Amazon SG! But I paid a bomb for it omggg ($800). That's the price of not living in the US hahaha 😅
Ah ya I saw the prices in Amazon. Thanks!
@@bernardgoh82 You're welcome Bernard! Will you be getting the Wawona? 😊
Northface literally sent me here since they didn't provide setup instructions with their tent. 😂
Wow are you serious? Like THE North Face sent you here? 😱
@@CampingGuidance yes. 100%. Their chat with personnel gave me a link in our chat to this. Helpful but not what I expected.

Thank you for the tip! 🥰
Great video! Question: Has the front door open mesh now been covered by North Face designers? If not then how can one cover the opening?
Pasting Zack's review from North Face's website for same tent from 2 years ago highlighting the flaws with the front open mesh:
"The half fly and completely mesh front doors are a terrible design that fails any time the tent is placed in windy cold, sandy or dusty areas.
I just bought this but didn’t realize the footprint is not being sold anymore.
Oh man could it be out of stock temporarily? :(
