Thanks David, I look forward to filming the next one. Going to Cuba on the 24th to film snorkeling with Salt water crocodiles. Hope to be able to release that one, ha ha. Take care, Freddy.
A backplate and wing is actually one of the most economical BCDs to own. Yes it’s expensive in the short term, but when one part breaks you only have to replace that part. This makes it cheaper to own in the long term.
I understand your point but honestly we rarely get any bcd that breaks. I have more than 2000 dives on my LTS and I have only changed my dump valve gasket. I do take good care of it though. Thanks for watching. More to come soon. Freddy
Hey Freddy love the content you provide on all your videos.. currently doing my open water certification and have been looking at the Hollis ST 35 system for my first BPW, BCD any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated. thanks..
Hey Ryan, thanks for reaching out. So one thing about me you will find out is that I don't bs anybody. I tell it like it is. You being a newer diver are open to marketing for different gear. No problem with that but my opinion of Back Plate designs are that they should be mostly used for Technical divers. They are often (not always) uncomfortable and designed with a crotch strap. I hate crotch straps but they are designed to be used with a uniform bladder in the back. Being a newer diver I would consider comfort and convenience as paramount importance. Obviously quality is key as well. Take a look at the Hollis LTS back inflate BCD. Get it to fit properly and that will grow with you and your skills. The oceanic Biolite is also a fantastic option. Both give you the features like a back plate design but are much more convenient and comfortable than the back plate. Congrats on your certification, you are in for the adventure of a lifetime. Haven't met you yet but I am proud of you for taking the step. Take care, Freddy.
@coralkeyscuba Thanks Freddy, for taking the time to reply, for the advice and information you provided. Much appreciated. I'm in Queensland, Australia but one day in the near future I hope to travel for some diving adventures and might run into you.. cheers again and safe diving.. Ryan..
Check out our trips. From time to time we dive in that part of the world. Indonesia, Australia, Fiji, Palau, etc. Maybe we can dive together some time. I would enjoy that. Thanks for watching more to come soon. Freddy
Awesome!!! Thank you looking forward to the next one.
