Yeah, it’s true. Better to use a belt sander on a rough board then finish up with this sander. But if you don’t have a belt sander it still can be done ✅. That’s like most things, There’s a better tool sometimes to do the same job easier. 😊 Dan.
Found this unit sands more evenly if held with your hand in the right spot. The web of your thumb should be seated over the u shape of the body an fingers an thumb in the black area where the ridgid logo is.
@Frankthetank1357 yes you for sure can.I do love my manly pixie dust floating around in the shop. Also, Good to note, wearing a dust mask is import while sanding. Thanks. 🙂Dan

I use mine for the final sanding step because like put it-it is all over the place. when I have used for rough sanding -it wore my forearms out,

You forgot the dust bag can be removed and then you can hook up your dust collection or shop vac for better dust control
