i saw them 3 times in all on the last tour after lollapalooza etc! in oz and b4 in brum /england THE MOST INCREDIBLE BAND EVER I SWEAR TO GOD.. without eric it was a waste of time god i have so many great memories of this great band its untrue, true legends forever
This is from 3/17/91 at the Paradiso in Amsterdam, from the Ritual tour, when their stage was covered with Santeria decorations and dolls. Lolla 91 was a more spare stage set up.
@Kenman22 During this time Dave used USA custom shop Ibanez guitars made just for him. They were NOT the same Vai used. His amps were Marshall JCM 900 series. He used Boss pedals such as the DS1, DD3 and/or PS3, CH1 and OC2. He would always step on a Boss DS1 Distortion for a lead boost and would usually leave his delay on.
@bmarrero He did an interview for Guitar Player magazine shortly after "Ritual de la Habitual" album was released. It seems that JCM 900 amps are his personal favorites since he has used them consistently throughout his career. He now steps on a Boss DS-2 Turbo Distortion pedal for extra gain but he used a DS-1 early on. JCM 900 amps and Boss pedals rule!!!!
@jrmarrero96 Where did you get that info? I happen to use JCM 900 and the DS1 too, just love 'em ! Seems that there are not many people today who care for these amps anymore.
Isn't this Paradiso, Amsterdam, 1991-03-17? Correct me if I'm worng though. Haven't watched the show in a while. If you like Perry, you'll like this show cause he is basically the only beinmg filmed.

I've been trying to find a live version of this song for a long time now, thank you!!
I'd say it was their best. Can't believe I never saw them live.....
Perkins looks like Animal back there on the drums.
Perkins is always an animal on the drums. Fact
Forever One of my fav.
Perry looks over at Eric (supposed inspiration for the song) at the end as he sings “why do you you make it so so SO SO obvious”
