- The best character assessment of Meghan Markle is simply “how she has treated her father," according to Sky News host Alan Jones.
“Mr Markle spoke on UK TV and said he didn’t think the Royal family were racist, and that if there was a question of the colour of the baby, his words: ‘It is just a dumb question from somebody’,” Mr Jones said.
"But Mr Markle made the point that he underwent heart surgery days before the wedding, and he said his daughter had let him down while he was ill.”
Mr Jones questioned what kind of person “abandons a parent”.
“And now, as a grandparent, Mr Markle hasn’t seen his grandson”.
“I suppose you and I are a bit old fashioned, but there are many words of testimony to the value of a father,” he said.
“This millionaire daughter can speak to a billionaire media figure and trash an historic and well-regarded institution”.
“But the millionaire daughter … has no time to speak to her father”.
“Decent caring people express thanks for the special relationship between fathers and daughters.”
I would dislike Meghan Markle every bit as much if she were white. Her race is not the issue, it's just her personality that is the issue.

My father was an abusive alcoholic. When he got Alzheimer’s I went there and took care of him until he died. I saw the good things in him and the boy he used to be. The hurt in his eyes. When Meghan's half sister first came on the scene, I was so upset and embarrassed for Meghan. I thought it was so shifty what Samantha was doing, now I see she was 100% correct about Meghan.

Her half sister was an adult when Megan was born. They were not raised together, probably had very little contact. My own children have older half siblings whom they very rarely see, if at all, and only know superficially, and they were partially raised together.

When Meghan said that now the world can understand how she felt because people had to take shelter in lockdowns in small apartments for months, that might have been the single most important reveal of her character.
