@@TheSocialImpactShow it would be interesting to hear more details about the actual day-to-day tasks that people working at all levels of CSR would get up to (from CSR managers/assistants all the way up to the presidents/vice presidents). Thanks! ☺️

I'm about to apply for a CSR job openeing in India though I don't have first hand work experience, I have a Masters degree in Social Work, and I have done several volunteering work too. I'm interested in Program/Project management and implementation. Do you think this will add value to the work? Also I still don't have any work expereince.

I'm a business student. Have an bachelors in business management and finance and currently doing a MBA. Over the course of the past three years, I have been super interested in finding job roles that allow me to make a positive impact on society. CSR, corporate philanthropy, and non-profit work have been things that have really interested me in this aspect. This video was really helpful in gaining an understanding of how to enter that field.
Do you know if there is any way to enter that career field with a finance/accounting perspective? I ask because out of all of my business courses, finance and accounting have been my favorite business topics.
You mentioned that it is quite uncommon to find jobs for CSR on job board sites, what other routes do I have. I understand the networking part, but I want more clarification of finding work that is similar to it. Volunteering for nonprofits? Finding jobs at nonprofits? How important is it to find experiences in areas that I'm passionate about. For example, I really want to help end homelessness, would targeting non-profit orgs that handle that social issue be a good strategy? I'd like some more explanation on that part!
Do you have any tips on how to find remote work/work from home work that is related to CSR and philanthropic initiatives?
Thanks so much for making this video! It gives me so much more clarity on this topic.

Thank you for watching and glad it makes a difference. You could look at finance/operations/reconciliation for a corporate foundation or CSR team. Look at companies that you would be interested in and check to see their social impact programs and reach out. Then research some local CSR and social impact organizations as we've found that many CSR pros belong to local groups that would be a great network to tap into.

@@TheSocialImpactShow Thank you so much for the advice, I greatly appreciate it! I'm mostly interested in companies within the tech sector and the video game industry so those are the ones I will target.

    Hello,
I am Anand Pandey from India. I recently completed my Masters in environmental science in India. During my PG I got very much interested in sustainability and CSR work. So I wanted to ask how is the job outlook for a person who wants to work in field of CSR and if I want to move abroad in future how will be the job market will it be too much saturated or idk how it will be, because in India CSR is still not so strong component we do CSR for name sake.

Thank you for watching Anand. Our recommendation would be to learn as much as possible about CSR and network in the space to be kept front of mind with opportunities. Another recommendation would be to get involved in CSR related activities (volunteering, spearheading giving, etc) at the current company even if there is no official program. This can add experience not only on the resume but also to understand if this is a direction to go in a future career. It depends on the country but CSR is a growing industry and lots of opportunities worldwide.

Thank you very much for the video!
I'm a scoial science major, and working at a CSR deaprtment seems to be a great career option for me.
However, I also fear that I may be fired when the company faces financial struggles or when a huge depression hits, since CSR jobs seems to be in the lower priority. Also, I also think it gets affected by how society values CSR activity; once people lose interest in CSR, CSR won't have financial impact on the company.
Do you think pursuing a career as a CSR expert is a safe course to take?
It would be very helpful if you can answer!
