Honestly the whole look of the map makes me think that the New Junk City has been built inside some sort of nuclear reactor or something like that... Very interesting, I would love to explore the lore of this map and junkers themselves

You almost got it, junker town and new junk city were built around and inside an omnium (an automated factory designed to create omnics) the junkers destroyed the place and built their city around and inside the omnium

how do you get out of bounds?

spectate mode and press CTRL + I, or you can go to workshop.code and get an out of bounds code. heres mine that i use and float around on pharah : C1GZD
