Thank you very much for this amazing lesson of history and culture. You have a very nice tone of voice , I had to read the script because I do not understand your language. I am from Uruguay - South America and my language is Spanish. This is all new information to me. Very interesting how the Nordic people have migrated from one country to the other and how these minorities live today. I hope everyone gets their rights and continue to honor their traditions and languages. Just recently I leanred about teh Sami people and now the Kven, thanks to you.
Jeg elsket denne videoen! Veldig interessante punkter.
It looks like one are immigrants and the other a local minority. The homogenization of local population was happening everywere in the 19 and begining of 20 century. The argument for those actions were similar in every country. I have wondered how much of this is originated in the consolidation of the modern state, but I have made no effort to investigate the issue.
In Norway, this is very much the case, and you can see it clearly from what kind of history books are written at the time. Definitively similar trends in many other countries as well.
tusen takk for denne videon, hjelpe mye å ha englesk text!
