I now have to question what show that was, because I was pretty sure I knew what it was (not Mormon, did not attend a Mormon college, never even met a Mormon) but I learned about it from QI so now I’m wondering what other show it was mentioned on?

It is clearly Dancer because Matt gives them a clue before where he says the scrying is quicker on Dancer because he is more connected / closer to her.

It's quite frankly rude at this point how many times CR has absolutely devastated me with, "How am I supposed to get over you if you keep sending ravens to me?". I'm in shambles.
Liam in a bear costume might be the most surreal thing I've seen on this show so far.

So I think the next question someone needs to ask for the next 4-Sided Dive is to Matt, and is: "So are there any talking swords in Exandria that _aren't_ evil?"
Oof…imagine being consciously aware of your surroundings to whatever extent the average peopley human person normally is with their brainballs but oops: you’re a sword listening to whatever hog bonkers religious jibber jabber some jerk-ass chants at you because you ain’t got no legs, Lt Dan…and no arms but when someone grabs you; they’re ARMED!? How many times does a sword have to hearhow one guy saw a thing that his god sent him so we all gotta worship him now no you can’t see the gift he sent me, Mom! Don’t touch me dad, I didn’t ask for this! I wanted to be fucking flail!
Cursed swords are fully justified and done did what they had to do if you’re tired and running a fire sale on giggles
What would be hilarious is if they were given a talking weapon, or other wearable item with great stats, that constantly said highly questionable shit but in truth had absolutely no actual negative traits whatsoever. Just a giant troll. Just constantly chiming in with ambiguous comments when things go right or wrong to make it seem like it had some influence on those events when really its just some bored soul stuck in a sword or something.
To be fair, the majority of sentient weapons in the _official_ _materials_ are super evil, so…
Pragmatic question: why is a good person as likely as a bad person is to end up sealed in some fuckin weapon until hell freezes? Moreover, what does a non-evil PERSON look like? Who do you know that would make a good animated sword?

If you look at Sam, Marisha, and Travis' (Calamity gang) reaction as soon as Matt mentions that tree being on Shattered Teeth, I think that pretty much confirms it's the Tree of Names (unless magically in Domunas/Shattered Teeth there are more than one magical druidic tree of Gau Drashari origin)
I feel like the dnd version of "you either die a hero or live to see yourself become a villian." Is "you either die a hero or live long enough to become a npc"
If there is one person that could talk themselves into another powerful demonic "blessing", after "wasting" it on something frivolous, it is Fearne.
FCG's conversation with the Changebringer are Matt's way of getting back at Sam for all his shenanigans.
Matt absolutely dropping facefirst onto the table is the kind of GM break I love and cherish in my CR campaigns. He's busted completely, utterly, and it's wonderful. Well done, Sam, you absolute goob.

8 years of CR and I'm still awed how much Matt inhabits and brings to life the NPCs.
The absolute perfection of emulating all of Keyleth's mannerisms
FCG calling the Changebringer three times in a freaking row is so much "Mom? MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!" and i love it so much, i was lying on the floor, everything hurt.
I love how Orym’s thing is blanking out when big stuff happens
I'm so happy for Orym, he was down in the dumps but it feels like this trip to his home healed his heart just before the recent wounds started to permanently scar.

Oh GOD damn it! Sam was doing his best to see Dancer again because he wants to say some variations of "I'm sorry I killed your Pussy". That has to be it and I don't blame Matt if he was trying to prevent that.

The lore this ep was everything I never knew I needed
Travis: "You're not getting it" looking at Tal about the stone titan gaunlets lmao!! OMG so much great stuff in this one.
Said it in the actual video but I was dying when they were passing the sword around trying to figure out if it was evil or not and then just going "Eh, let's give it to Travis anyways." Also, Taliesin answered his own question from last time. Last session he went "Why you? Why always you?" when the sword first spoke to Chetney and this session he says, in character as Ashton, something to the effect of "I don't trust things that can talk without a mouth" and rejects the sword.
Sam getting owned by Matt this episode is reminiscent to scanlan getting scammed in s1 lol
First of all, thank you so much for uploading these videos for us every week. You're a light.
Second, when Laudna asks Keyleth if she knew what would happen to Vax is the Matron disappeared, Imogen reacted to Keyleth's reaction. I think Imogen realizes that she might be connected to Predathos as a result to being connected to Ruidus. Do y'all think that in that moment she realized that she might die or disappear or whatever when Predathos is gone, since the plan right now is to get rid of Predathos? I think Imogen realizes that she might not survive if Predathos is gone, but idk I'm just spitballing tbh
I really feel like Matt would have a discussion with Laura if that is something she would like to do if he leaves enough evidence of the possibility of Imogen dying after predathos this is killed (if that is what they end up needing to do in order to save the world, but I think they are just gonna lock him away again).
Matt is someone who wants to make sure his players are having fun which is why he included a narrative way for resurrecting Laudna since Marisha wasn’t done with the character yet.
I am all for the angst and there is a big possibility that Imogen could die after predathos is defeated, but unless imogen is killed becomes of dice rolls, I doubt Matt would kill Imogen because of narrative unless Laura gave him permission.
Could also be that one of her biggest fears is that she doesn't know what would happen to Laudna if the Gods were gone, since she was brought back from the dead by divine magic, so I think she sympathizes with Keyleth not knowing what would happen to the person she loves. She has also stated that she doesn't know what will happen to her if they kill Predathos; if she'll lose her powers or die, but that she's okay with dying if need be.
That's super true, but maybe they already had a talk about it. We don't know that for sure. But I'm sure that anything that happens will be with consent of the players and the DM, except if it's from bad dice rolls because those things can happen :)@@willowbird

It’s really cool to cut to the players reactions to what Keyleth says and dose. Not only is the C3 characters reacting to news that she shares but so are the C1 characters in many ways.

Oh my god, that sword is gonna cost them a lot. Like the group was not chaotic enought without it. Its gonna have some nasty surprises especialy when they meet some specific people.

I do kinda wish they hadn't had access to Legend Lore and we could have seen the sword/chet thing play out without them knowing for certain on a meta level if it was evil or not.
Chetney doesn’t know it’s evil… so we still get to see how it will play out.

You have be particularly strong to become a Patron. Devils have their contracts, Archfey have their might, Old Ones have their funky brain powers, Fathomless are usually Krakens or great aquatic beasts/demigods, Hexblades are just kind of everything with power.
So if Fearne gains sway in a court to the point she becomes an Archfey, she *could* become a Patron; but, I don't really see it happening.
