I appreciate gratz'char getting straight to being sus as fuck. I feel like matt understands that there's a LOT going on and throwing in a potential corruption plot is that bit too much so having it be a lil funnier than an actual "oh god chets gonna kill keyleth" plot is fun
Eh, I think its more that Matt knows there was no point in trying to play it straight after FCG was able to cast Legend Lore on it immediately. That spell basically killed the items main gimmick, as it's not about a mind control game mechanic but rather its supposed to deceive its wielder, and the player, into believing its actually good aligned through rp conversation with a couple of its features designed to simply hide its true nature. I kinda wish they had gotten it before FCG had that spell. It would have been fun watching Matt genuinely try to deceive Chet through RP.

The ending with Laudna was so chaotic, that I couldn't really follow along with what they were talking about, or what would have happened if she failed. So I looked it up. The *Challenge Rating* (CR) of a PC is calculated by their current level, divided by 5. So right now everyone is Bell's Hells is at a CR 2, since they are level 10. Right now, when FCG uses his *Channel Divinity*, they have the ability to *Destroy* any undead (within 30 ft) that fails their wisdom saving throw, and has a *CR of 1 or lower*. Anything above a 1, will be *Turned* (have to move as far away from them as possible, for 1 minute). So, even if Laudna failed, she would just be *Turned* temporarily. However, once FCG gets to *level 11*, they can now *Destroy Undead up to CR 2*. So, they'll have to be more careful at that point. Good thing they discovered this now, haha. (Technically, 11/5 = 2.2, but I don't think in 5e there are any fractions once we get to whole numbers, so it would be rounded to their nearest decimal point).
