Really enjoyed the video. Couple of things spring to mind tho. Commonwealth seemed to have around 100pts more then the covenant, not sure if this was intentional. Critical hits also cause a disorder condition as well as a critical roll and when shooting at a unit if the initial target is destroyed you may reallocate declared attacks against another model in that unit within 5”, which would help a lot with frigate units. Hopeful we will see more dystopian wars games soon. Looks a really nice system.
Great video as usual :) I also hope we see more in the future. It is kind of funny that you have made some of the same mistakes that I made in my first game. Turn one 1-when shooting squadron excess damage isn't lost, it will roll over to squadron mates. 2- Fusillade only gets re rolls at point blank. 3-you both need to remember defense specials that reduce the attack pool. 4-defense dice each squadron mate within 4 adds 1 die(mass1). I will stop picking as you are doing a fantastic job. I am just trying to get a hand on the rules and have only played 3 games in this edition.
35 minutes in a victory was claimed for destroying a unit. This was incorrect as the unit composition for the Germain Zebaek and Merian Frigates are 3 so you would need to destroy them all to claim that victory condition and not just 1 ship.
All kinds of mistakes. Fusillade rerolls at closing range, not retargetting attacks when the initial target is destroyed, not increasing defense values for additional models in the unit within 4 inches of the target, exploding dice on gunnery rolls against mass 1 targets in a few cases, skipped the surgical harbor rule when the sturgium flare happened, misunderstanding what having initiative means (if you win initiative and pass you still count as having initiative), and skipping the operations phase for the second round. And why were ships drifting forward when hit? That one's out of nowhere.
Cheers, nicely done and a good help to get an impression on how it plays out... Also nice move on taking out the Borodino :) A few things though, I noticed that need clarification: 22:28 fusillades I think only re-roll counters on point blank 28:36 'they have no target', I was of the impression you can retarget weapons on any other valid model within the same target unit, if the initial target has been destroyed? also I think you totally ignored both the Ablative Armour, as well as the Internal Shield Generators during all of the shooting ;)
Just to add to your second point you absolutely can retarget it, but the new target has to be within 5” of the original target I believe. And yes they do seem to have forgotten those rules heh, easy enough to do until you get a few games under yea
The Prometheus ship doesn't have the parts for 'Clone' or 'Null' Generators, even though these are Enlightened only upgrades. It can only take three generators, but the parts for the two specific ones for Enlightened aren't included on the sprue. What a failure.
I had bought a couple of the Spartan games models with a view of getting into DW naval. That project died obviously. Thankfully I didn't make a heavier investment just to see Warcradle trash my game. Older players must be a bit pissed off.
I hope to see more Dystopian Wars on your channel.

Thanks guys, very informative covering just what we need to know. Can't wait to play it!

Looks good guys! I think you got a few things a little off but otherwise top notch quality as always!
Really good informative video, thanks very much.
Your Covenant player kept forgetting about your generators. That could have saved your smaller ships.
did they use the ablative armor rule?

This seems like a fun game to play
Every time muffled Gerry said 'Shit firing' I took a drink.
Interesting insight to the game, where did you get the mat from?
Deepcut Studios
The ads are a pain... Nice play through video guys
I like Gerry's ponytail
Ahh unending rules discussion.
Is the rulebook out?
Rules and Gubbins box is out at the end of the month and is available for preorder
10 ad breaks, guys. Is that deliberate?
Can you guys do more Bolt Action?

20 years later..... Why this game comes with masks?
Take off your masks!!!
