Good explanation of Prussian fleet and Imperium fleet composition. It inspire me the fleet I use last weekend to present the game and today my introduction to a new player
Thank you for the video, best explanationto understand what the ships do and how to expand ^^. The Prussian let my german heart beat harder when i see the volt guns or the ice maiden🤩
I love this video it great for new players to learn how to play each faction and find which faction they want to play and what works best for them and for the faction
The video is coming soon! First will be the Abydos guide, and the Scions are right after. Might insert an unboxing in the middle somewhere, but you won't have to wait long 🙂
A really good introduction to the faction. Just one minor detail. You omitted some units you can build with the starter, Heidelberg/Holtzendorf, Ferdinand, Malus and Nachtbringer. I am not sure I would build them with the first kit, but this box is, except for some flagships, basically all non Scandinavian surface ships the Imperium has.
I really love your in depth coverage! It really helps, although it makes me really want to start collecting. Already neck deep in Crown and a small Alliance force.
My pleasure! And if you already have two large fleets, you can indeed first focus on them before expanding. Except if you want the Scions of Jutland as mercenaries for your other fleets, before getting more Imperium... ;-)
That is true, but if you are a new player, it is good to start with a "classic" battleship such as the Elector. The Ice Maiden, Valhalla and König are all very cool and fun, but they are each very thematic. The Imperium Starter Set has "default" ships and is thus perfect for starting the faction. Sometimes you need tried-and-true rather than funky :-)
Great overview, as always. Now, I forget who it was who suggested Imperium to me, but it was in response to my question of who had the high-tech toys but could still take a hit and allow me to field a decent number of ships. Couldn't you argue for Empire or Union to fill those criteria, too?
These two factions partly fill these criteria. Empire does not have much high-tech outside of the Matsumoto and the Sky fortresses. If you like exotic armament, you can play Chinese which have correct resilience and are quite cheap. The Union have their high-tech with their Pipework vessels, which are fragile and very costly. The standard ships are tough. Overall it is a elite faction which lack in numbers.
Meanwhile Crown and Commonwealth are too "conventional," Alliance and Sultanate are too squishy more often than not, and Enlightened are too expensive even if they have saucers for fliers.
I'd say Union is the best for high-tech elite feeling while still being tough. Yes their ships are expensive, but they do take qui te a beating to sink. Otherwise, if you build the right ships and combos, the Covenant can be disheartingly tough to sink
And I am tempted by the Pacifier Assault rule for the Union, as well as the flying robots. Covenant, I feel, runs the risk of being out-activated due to how expensive their units are points-wise.
Just the length of the video shows how much content there is to the game ! So many game styles for this faction !
Indeed, that is one of the appeal of the game! So many playstyle for each faction, even if they each have their specialties
I have to listen again and again. Just starting Imperium. Many Thank!!!!!!!!!!!
Between the iceberg and the zeppelin, this faction has really fun toys! Thanks for the video.

Very informative, thanks!
With pleasure :-)
Great video. Shows just how much you can do with this faction.
Indeed, the Imperium is one of the nation with the most diverse playstyle. It helps that they have so many boxes to choose from :-)
Really love these deep dives. It has really helped me get an understanding for the game and the difference between various ships.
I needed this video
Glad I could deliver!
Thank you. That was very informative. The Imperium air force looks great on the table!
Great video! Thanks :)
Thank you!
This was super helpful as a player trying to get into the game
Thank you for the video, best explanationto understand what the ships do and how to expand ^^. The Prussian let my german heart beat harder when i see the volt guns or the ice maiden🤩
My pleasure! Glad you enjoyed. And yes the Ice Maiden is such a faction-defining ship. Looks crazy on the table!
Looking forward to that double ice maiden report, that sounds amazing.
Some great looking ships! I love the look of the Elector
Indeed, the Kaiser-Elector is one of the coolest-looking battleship in the game. It looks so tough, and bristling with guns and broadsides.
Great video, useful content as I started to paint my Imperium fleet
Looking forward to digging into the video! You always have great content about a fantastic game!
Thank you very much!
Great videos. Very informative. Nice models! 👍🏻🙌🏻
I love this video it great for new players to learn how to play each faction and find which faction they want to play and what works best for them and for the faction
Thank you! The last three factions will get their updated "how to start" soon. Next one on the list is the Union.
I am excited to hear more on the Scions, they sound like a fun battlefleet
The video is coming soon! First will be the Abydos guide, and the Scions are right after. Might insert an unboxing in the middle somewhere, but you won't have to wait long 🙂

That's quite the detailed video. Thank you!
Thank you! Glad you like long, detailed videos
This makes me willing to play Scions !
Hmm just as I was considering buying this box for a friend!
Damn, I need to find friends like you that buy me DW boxes! :-D
@@loveandwargames it's a vicious cycle that we all buy each other into new wargames 😅😬🤦♂️
Really good video. I enjoyed it a lot!
oh shit its straight up the length of a video essay, nice job!
Thank you! Yeah I decided to get quite deep in details :-)
Super helpful, thanks! 😁
super indepth as always
Nice description!
The other starter is Sturginium Skies. Was hoping for a rundown on that as well...
I really shouldn't. but you're tempting me into yet another faction >.
Thanks for the video.
With pleasure! :-)
Imperium has so many cool flagships, it feels hard to justify taking this one.

nice and infromative
good video
Thank you!
It was very interesting 😊

Great!
Merci pour cette vidéo! Another very nice fleet! The incredible stuff that keeps coming from Warcradle Studios is impressive!
Nice one :)
... I haven't seen it yet, but I'm pretty sure you won't say "let's start with Falkenstein and one support fleet !" :D
Indeed, even though it wouldn't be such a terrible fleet to play at all! :-)
@@loveandwargames just a lot of SRS ! Just finshed the vidéo, it was great. I like this format even if it's long, it's informative
🎉 big ice
Is an all-Italian fleet viable?
3 ice maiden is the only correct way to play the imperium
I hate the Imperium xD they are so easy to play.
