For me the most heartbreaking part of the song is that she expresses she would be okay with him not loving her enough. His "lack of love" would suffice because even if it's lacking, there's still love there. She's heartbroken because he left, in her eyes, without warning and she feels blindsided. The song is her crying out and asking him what happened?
