A note on adding product to containers still containing product, such as flour, baking soda or baking powder. Empty out the storage container that has remaining product. Put the remaining product in a bowl or similar, add your new product, and then place the former remaining product on top of the new product. Flour goes rancid after a time, and leavening agents have a shelf life. So when topping off a container, use the older product up by placing it on top of the newer. It's an extra step, but an important and cost conscious one.
So very true!! Great tip!
There is just nothing more satisfying to me right now on the internet than a pantry organize.
Haha love hearing that! Me too! I love watching other organizing videos and pantry organization is just so satisfying!!
When I put pasta in my giant mason jars, instead of labeling them "pasta" I label them 10-12, 7-9 etc. which tells me the cooking time. Another thing I like to do is with really high shelves, corners or dead spaces, I like to put huge lazy susans with sides for jars and bottles, so I just need to turn them to find what I need. That way I don't have to grab a stool and try to finagle around to get things stuck in the back or corners. Heavy items such as shelf stable milk, cans etc. I always put below waist level.
LOVE the pasta labeling idea!! And yes! Lazy susans in the corners and dead space is such a good use of space! Love all of your strategies.
New subscriber here 🙋♀Found you while searching for Oxo Good Grips container organizational videos and boy am I glad I did! I have a small pantry and you've given me such inspiration! I love, love, love it all but especially that middle shelf with the spices and the oils on the lazy susan ... pure beauty and perfection!! Thank you for sharing!
It looks great. Thanks for showing the label process on the Cricut. I didn’t realize it was so tedious. Love the font.
It really is!! Long process, but worth it for how pretty it looks after!!
Wish I could make that labeling!!!!! Terrific 😊
I never thought I would call any pantry gorgeous but your pantry is gorgeous! Looks like it belongs in a photo shoot.
I love too how functional it is. Thank you for all the ideas!
Thank you so much! It really does work so well for us and has stayed pretty much exactly like this for the past few months! Super easy to maintain.
Even though I dont have a pantry of my own still i m so obsessed with these sort of videos its so satisfying to watch
Thanks so much!! Even without a full large pantry like this one you can still use kitchen cupboards to create a mini pantry!
Trying to make one but really confused with the containers
I am fascinated by the trend to switch to the Oxo containers. I watched the whole video thinking how great it looks. I also reminded myself that these add to the plastic use and does not eliminate the packaging waste. I'll stick with my granny old Tupperware and save $.
I grew up with my mom using OXO containers too! Often times when you decant you can often buy in bulk and save on packaging, plus my mom still has her OXO from years and years ago so though they are more expensive they last! If the Tupperware works for you that is wonderful!! Its all about what works for you 😊👍
I can not wait to organize a pantry like this someday. So excited for our collaboration soon!!
My last pantry was less than half the size of this one so I definitely had some fun organizing this one! YAY me too! ☺️
Remember that heat rises so the top shelf will be the warmest. That might not be good for your chocolate chips. Remember to use a bay leaf in your things that might get bugs to prohibit them. That would be flowers and grains and rice, etc. You do a wonderful job, very motivational.
Good tip! Haven't had any issues with chocolate chips in here as we have an air conditioned apartment. Smart about the bay leaf, thank you!
What a pretty pantry! I personally am an everything-white-in-white type of girl, and it never occurred to me to have white labels, such a simple yet effective thing.
Right?! It surprised me the first time I used white labels how easy they are to see and read, sometimes I think even easier than black and I love the look!
Hi :) Don’t get rid of your strong grip transfer tape, it’s made for glitter vinyl and if you ever want to use glitter, it’ll work like a charm! :) My favorite transfer tape is good old clear contact brand shelf liner on a roll.
I love a good pantry organization, and this was lovely!
Thanks for the tip!
Love the way you did your labels! I love that font, which I own and think I will have to redo my pantry.
Yay! It's my favorite!!
i really like the font you used for your spice jars!
Thank you so much! They are for sale on my website if you are ever interested 😉
Where do you get that label maker- looks like a perfect gift for my daughter!
Pantry heaven!! Love it 👍
Aww thanks!!
I love the font on the oils and I think it looks great to mix the fonts. Leave them alone!
Thank you!! 💓
You are truly an inspiration! Wow! Your pantry looks amazing! 👍👍👍
Thanks so much! 😊
This pantry organization is absolutely fabulous! Thank you so much for sharing, I am definitely inspired to do this in my new home!!! So glad I found your channel!
Oh thank you! 😊 Thank you so much for stopping by and watching!!
💜💜💜💜ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, Sophie!!!💜💜💜 So jelly of your space!!!
Thanks Marcie! I am for sure loving the new larger pantry! Lots of room to spread out those spices 😉
Thank you for the inspiration! 🌹❤
You are so welcome!
WOW!! Totally impressed!
Thank you so much Gina!!
I loved this! Those labels are a labor of love, but so worth the result!
Thanks Nat, omg are they ever... they take quite some time but I'm so happy with how they turned out!
Enjoying your channel as a new member! You have some wonderful ideas I hope to emulate in the coming months. I am an empty nester attempting to regain a relaxing atmosphere in my townhome and I believe in the concepts you share. It may take time as I am on a limited budget but this will be fun!
Thank you so much and welcome!
Thank you 🙏
You’re welcome 😊
So beautiful Sophie! Love your channel!
Thank you so much!
Hi! Do you have a 20 piece set of the OXO containers? Or two 10 piece sets? Thanks
I have one 10 piece set and the rest I have just slowly built over time, so some are the old version of containers and some are new but you cant really tell and they all still work great!
Fantastic job!! Looks so pretty!!! 😍😍 we don’t really have pantry’s in england. Would make life so much easier!
Thank you! I didn't know that they aren't common in England! It is really convenient to have one but I have only had one for the last 4 years so I can totally relate to not having one as well!
Such a beautiful pantry!!! Great job!
Thank you!! 💞
Absolutely Beautiful!
The labels look Stunning!
COME DO MY SPICE Jars!!!
Thank you!! haha I would LOVE to!!
The labels look amazing !
Thank you so much!!
Love it! Gorgeous👏👏👏 you mentioned you purchased the spice jars with white lids at Target, I can't seem to find them, too bad they look great with the plastic lids vs white metal ones at Amazon. Your channel content is lovely....subbed!!
amazing job! you're adorable!
Thank you!! 😊
Fabulous! well done! 👏💕
Thank you! 😊
Hey hun! I’m in love with your pantry! Amazing job! 🤗
Thank you so much! Me too!! ☺️ My last pantry was much smaller so I am really enjoying the extra space!
Sophisticated Organization oh yeah I remember! You can always make it more fabulous with more room!
New subscriber here from the UK 🇬🇧 pantry looks fabulous 👌❤️ love those OXO containers. When you grow into the space more your spices could go on a nice rack inside the door as that's valuable space too. 👍🇬🇧
Hi Sandra!! Thank you so much for subscribing! What a great idea, right now there is more space than I know what to do with! But once we need some more space the spices on the door would be wonderful! ❤️
@@SophisticatedOrganization I know less is more as they say. But you will get there I'm sure 😂 ❤️👍🏴🇬🇧
go girl looks AMAZING
Thank you!!!
Looks great, but these containers are so expensive. I bought a brown sugar keeper so that it wouldn’t get hard but it wouldn’t work on the lids of mine there must be newer models of lids. I might just throw it in the brown sugar.
The oxo containers are expensive but they are such high quality! Toss that brown sugar keeper right in with the brown sugar it will work just the same if not better! Don't forget to give it a soak in water every now and then if you notice your sugar starting to harden again.
Congrats on your marriage. Your ring is beautiful! I see you are from Colorado. Did you take some type of organizing courses? You do a beautiful job and I wish I could hire you to come organize my house in South Dakota. You are my new FAVORITE organizing channel!
Thank you so much for the kind words! Nope, I have never taken a course or anything, just always been organized and had a bit of knack for it! Thank you for watching and saying hi!! 👋😊
Love it! It looks amazing great job 👏
Thank you!! 😊
Fabulous pantry!! 👌👌👌
🤩Thank you!!
Hi can u plz share the link for double layer kitchen cabinet shelf?
Wow that's awesome very beautiful
I really appreciate the kind comments
Does the oils go bad if you decant them? I was thinking about doing this my olive oil comes in an dark container but if I decant they are clear glass .
Just make sure you store it in a cool dark place like a cabinet or pantry. I wouldn't suggest storing it out on your countertop if you do this.
Simply awesome
Thanks a lot 😊
What font do you use? Looks amazing
nickainley!
Love it soooo much!!!
Yay!! Thank you!
Your pantry looks great! I wonder, though, every time I see a pantry organization, am I the only person who still uses canned goods? I never see the canned goods in the pantry!
You said you got the white spice lids from target . From buying spices or do they sell the lids ?
Literally from buying the spices 🙈I couldn't seem to find exactly what I was looking for so I made my own combo!
Do you have a link for your white container that you are putting your water bottles in? Thanks!
Of course!! www.target.com/p/y-weave-bin-13-room-essentials-153/-/A-53816424?preselect=51466787#lnk=sametab
Have you had any problems with the oil and vinegar bottles?
I did break one of the tops 🙈 but other than that no issues!! I have had them for a few years now
what Kitchen cleaner is in your spray bottle to clean the containers before putting the label on?
I believe I had one of my DIY Cleaners in this bottle! I have a video where I share some of my favorite DIY cleaner recipes: th-cam.com/video/99XNyAOBm34/w-d-xo.html
Thank you! I always think: why are they placing the labels so low? Nice work.
Thanks so much for watching! The OXO containers have a bit of a curve at the top so I place my labels right below that curve!
Where did you get the step shelf thing you have your spices on?
You can find it at bed bath and beyond or the container store! It is the "Expand-A-Shelf" 👍
where did you get the white spice jars ?
link please
I actually used the olds from old spice jars I bought from the target market pantry spice jars so I didn't really purchase them!
Where are the black labels you put on the drawers from? Are they permanent or easy to remove?
Made them myself using vinyl! They stay put but can be peeled up if necessary!
@@SophisticatedOrganization very cool! It looks great!
Do you happen to know what brand of oil dispensers you own? I've been searching for ones just like them and haven't been able to find any.
Just updated my description box! I have both a large and small size listed there. I have had them for years now and love them!
Great job
Thank you!
Lovely ❤️
Thank you so much!
Love it!
So glad!
Where are the produce bins from?
They are from target! I'm not sure if they still sell them or not.
Did you use permanent or removable vinyl?
I used permanent and can dishwash the containers without them falling off!
What font is that used on your labels?
It is the "cursive" font option on my website!
I just get my labels from hobby lobby or container store I don’t have the patience for that cricket 😂
haha the cricut is SO time consuming, smart to just purchase them! I also sell my labels on my website if you ever want some custom ones but don't want to go through all the hassle! 😉
Is it true that leaving the label on for 24 hours before peeling back the tape helps it stick on longer? I heard someone mention that in another TH-cam video 🤔
As long as you press it down with a little scraper tool or a credit card it should be good. As long as the lettering is a decent thickness I have never had issues with the lettering peeling up!
Can u plz share link for the spice jars? Thanks
Yes! I have added the spice jars and similar labels to the ones I made! to the description box. 💓
@@SophisticatedOrganization thank you so much. Also from where did u get white lids for the spice jar??
How many sets of oxo containers are there?
I started with a set and have grown from there and bought individual pieces to build the exact collection I wanted! It's important to get the right sized containers for what you put in them and for your space!
@@SophisticatedOrganization thanks for your prompt respond 👍🏻
Amazing! I like your container oxo It is not available in my country 😿💗
Sorry to hear that, hopefully you are able to find some other similar containers!!
Sophisticated Organization thanks for the nice 🥀
Very nice
Thanks!
Do you think you can make labels for me? I want custom labels.
Please head over to www.sophisticatedorganization.com and click the "shop" tab. Feel free to send me an email at sophisticatedorganization@gmail.com if you have questions or any specific needs.
Your new transfer tape vinegar should remove it.
Thank you!!
You're welcome.
😊🌸
Thank you for watching!
OXO is very, very expensive. To do a pantry properly one would need at least 3-4 dozen containers.
I searched online a set of 6 2 average, the others small. 100.00
It is, definitely an investment item, but if you take care of them they last a long time! There are plenty of other options if OXO isn't the right price point 😊
@@SophisticatedOrganization OXO can never be the “ right” price point. They’re overpriced. Those with lots of money can afford them.
What was the cost to convert your pantry? That is what should be stressed if one promotes this type of organizational product.
There are other products of lesser dollars and perhaps some are not as good a quality.
It’s just fair to give people heads up.
@@coolwater55 That's fair! I don't typically talk about all of the prices for the products I include in my videos, but might be helpful for me to include!. They are all things I actually use in my home that I purchased, not for show or anything and although I tend to buy more "investment items" it might be a fun idea to share a video with some more budget friendly organizing products!
@@SophisticatedOrganization That’s kind of you to respond. That would be a very worthwhile video if you find time or inclination.
I researched the pantry containers because my daughter was interested. I bought her a starter set. They are very nice! As you mentioned, the OXO seems to have the best quality and online reviews back that up.
Wayfair had a commensurate product, almost half the cost, but reviews were not as good.
I gleaned the Tupperware site, but the lids seemed not that nice airtight seal? However, I might buy a set of Tupperware and the wayfair product for myself to compare.
I have decades old Tupperware sets. Finally gave some away, avocado green and orange don’t go with anything. 😊
Thank you again! Loved your pantry.
That’s very impressive I like the idea of decantering all the vinegars it makes a difference but please the music he plays awful
Thank you! Since this is one of my older videos the volume is a bit too high on the music, which I have adjusted in my new videos. I see you left a similar comment on another video. Is there something in particular about the music you don't enjoy? Sounds like we may just have different preferences in music!
