Little Richard, yes, he was the one singing and banging away at the piano. Other songs worth checking out by him: Lucille, Keep-a-Knockin' and Good Golly Miss Molly. He passed away not too long ago. He had an interesting life. Rest In Peace, Richard.

one of the most eccentric and beautiful people in the industries history, little richard worked with the likes and (even knew) HISTORIC rock and roll figures like big mama thorton and the king elvis presley. to such an extent elvis saw one of the first renditions of this song live in person!

Little Richard was introduced by Alan Freed who was a famous DJ back in the 1950. He paved the way for a lot of Afro-American musicians by playing their songs and jumping racial barriers. LR was one of them. It is also interesting to watch Bill Haley, who is sitting next to Alan Freed, enjoying LR's song.

When you played in a garage band, often a guy said, hey, what's about a Little Richard tune.Everybody goes ,I know how to play that kind of thing!
    But there's a problem.Always the same.Who's gonna sing?
Little Richard is such a voice, one of the greatest singer in rock History.Congrats for your song selection and your video.Hi to people in Africa.

Fun song, appreciate the request and the reaction. Those early days of rock ‘n’ roll when that sound was, from what I read, revolutionary.

Two awesome throwbacks and timeless classics... the only drawback is they didn't show the other side of the ballroom because that was where blackouts where sitting... love these old videos but when.you watch them look closely at the audience and you can see some of them looking at each other for approval to enjoy the music and others taking notes to who.is partaking in it and others who don't give a f... unfortunately that was the times and no matter what little Richard and others went through hell and paved the way for.others to follow and also transformed music into what it is today!

And once again, the saxophonists reminded me of my uncle who played us sax on Sundays. I already mentioned it to you in one of your videos; but I no longer know which one. On the other hand, he did not climb on the piano, but on my grandparents' table! 🎷😂

Yes he was, and those moments are some of my fondest childhood memories. Childhood that doesn't contain a lot of them, but that's another story that I'll keep to myself ... which makes them even more valuable to me.

Music, like all art, isn't really about anything... it just happens. Of course it reflects the terms and expressions of the time but is the rhetoric more than the actual words. I love these first reactions. Thanks for putting them out 🥀
