Reymert Mine

The Reymert smelter consists of a solid foundation and other mining remnants that offer a glimpse into the region's history. The Reymert Mine operated from the 1890s to the 1950s, primarily as a silver mine, until much of it was bulldozed. However, some foundations and structures still remain, making it a worthwhile detour.
Time & Distance: Just under 7 miles one way from Hwy 60, allow 2-3 hours. Elevation change: 2,063 to 2,823 ft. Best time to go is mid February to May & September to November.
