    Tips for anyone building the breeder:
    Location matters a lot. Don't build it in the plains or mountains as flyers will cause the lox to break it.
    Wooden platforms aren't great for lox breeders. Weather kills half their durability and then any flyer that gets near it will cause the lox to break the platforms immediately. This is real bad if you've activated events that spawn flyers (bats/wyverns). I'd build it out of stone so it doesn't erode and it will survive a hit or two while you drag the event away from your breeder.
    You also want to place enough workbenches around the pit to keep ranged enemies from being able to spawn near it. (Maybe add an earthen wall around the outside so they can't see to shoot)

      Ya i always try to keep breeders near max range from base and with benches all around it to avoid that and events will spawn in on other side most of the time... But ya new bats could be a pain.

    I would suggest using a portal to get up and down. A perminant ramp is an eye sore.

      if you connect anything close by that would stop them from eating and break it and a portal would be a eye sore too but less :) Beside these guys can be picky and break the cage their in then you have to run them back up and rebuild the hole ramp.

      @@bigdaddykarvix43 we have a portal for our boar one, it works awesome. The plan with the lox is a bit derpy, but that's the name of the game in the silly hats tribe. We're going to build an Inn around the breeder so the baby lox can occassionally be seen falling by... and the innkeeper will go down to the "cellar" to get the "stored food". Just ignore the screams of dying.

    what about events, like "stirred the caldroun" where bats attack ?

    • @bigdaddykarvix43

      Added after vid, but u can always run out of range/rendor distance or surround it with free range wolfs to defend.

      If you place a workbench and campfire events spawn so if you skip out on a campfire and afk you should be good

    • @bigdaddykarvix43
      @bigdaddykarvix43  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ya that to.. alot of camp fires all over cuz mobs don't break those.

    hmm, what about feeding the lox?
    can you show the breeder in action?
    how big you dug out the breeding pit?

    • @bigdaddykarvix43
      @bigdaddykarvix43  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I say how to feed them, its not rocket science, also say how deep you have to dig, i think it 8 wall lengths or 10, i forget, one of the reason why so when i have to build again i know how and why.
      Showing it in action would take to much time and i didn't have a decent video editor, still don't have a good one, the free one i use lowers voice sounds and doesn't let me adjust it up properly.

    I just watched your video showing that wolves wouldn't attack Bonemass. I wonder if anyone's tried a few lox yet? I would assume they do blunt damage with their attacks, but will they attack him since the wolves won't?

    • @bigdaddykarvix43
      @bigdaddykarvix43  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ya people have tried, I saw some titles of it but didn't look.. But yes Lox will attack him, just tried it to see but i won't make a vid on it cuz i don't wanna run a lox to the boss and i don't cheat for vids. I had to look up the commands to spawn lox and tame them, just 10 was more then enough. Not like the vid titles of 100 lox vs every boss lol, all cheat commands. Watching vids were they just cheat to get stuff done or fly around and do free build mode just cheapens the hole game. Only a very few are ok to use in my book like if you get stuck and can't move cuz their no in game command to get unstuck like most games have.

    any way you can stop them walking on each other? they destroyed the first breeder i made, similar to yours, just by stepping on each other and then falling back in place! i made second with stone floor, iron poles and i ron gate, i put roof on the sides pointing out so that nothing takes rain dmg, so it lasts longer before repair is necessary. but it is still annoying to check all the time if they did not destroy something!

    • @bigdaddykarvix43
      @bigdaddykarvix43  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya idk for sure.. my first breeder was build same way and they don't jump on each other but my second they did... Hmm i'd try putting a 2 or 4 m pole in the middle on the first/bottom railing and maybe second too to block them from moving into each others side.. The long side that's 4mX4 sections, so at 4mX2 and facing the width side.. 2m pole should do it but i don't know if that will stop them from eating or not too. A little fencing work like that might have a small enough foot print to not effect them eating and stop them from moving i hope.

    I build that breeder but one lox (the one on the right) constantly refuses to eat. Do you have any tips how i could end this hungerstrike?

    • @bigdaddykarvix43
      @bigdaddykarvix43  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I never had that problem. Did you dig out the bottom to lowest possible depth and theirs 2 other Lox near by? Or make sure theirs nothing else built near by? If the basics are covered then try building a second log barrier on the outside then deleting the inside one to give them more space. O and no roof or other attachments near by, they need that space bubble. I also assume he can reach the food :)

      @@bigdaddykarvix43 If you have even a wooden cross bar above a lox's head they won't breed. (Oops hit reply on the wrong one meant that for OP.)

      ya the space around them is above them too, prob a box shape with same dimensions up as sideways and, sry for late response. Utube doesn't show replies to replies as new replies lol.. Doesn't make sense to me lol .. But its harder to see them and ill remember to look more often.

      I had the problem that both my loxes wouldn't eat after i build a roof on top of my breeder, after i destroyed the roof everything was fine, seems like the loxes prefer the sky above them, maybe something in your building triggers that mechanism.

    How do you keep the lox from breaking out?

    • @bigdaddykarvix43
      @bigdaddykarvix43  ปีที่แล้ว

      Didn't have that prob unless i left them for a long time and they were getting agro'd by mobs.
      Build the top part higher and try to put a roof on, or just make top rail higher. But you have to repair it once and a while.
