- Jan and Komei Tellerman have been married for five decades: today they celebrate their Golden Anniversary. Putting this particular collection of sims together in the same room might not have been the best idea - unless you ask Jan, of course, who's just gotten plenty of ammunition against her childhood best friend and rival: Mary-Sue Pleasant.

You make elders seem so fun! Why are mine never interesting? LOL I usually keep one of their children around to make things more exciting, or I move them in with a child's family. I suppose with your in depth storytelling (it makes you more emotionally attached) and the fact that you only play 1 day it makes things better.
Haha thanks! I think it helps a lot if you've played them throughout their life, so that they have strong personalities and a lot of family and friends around them. And yeah, going for a more storydriven approach has helped a lot too. I used to add them into families with kids in the past too, back when I played week long rotations, so yeah you're probably right that the 1 day version makes it better as well.
Also maybe Jan would push Cristofer to pursue the older Jennifer Pleasant to take control of the hospital 😂 I think that would be finny in itself.

I’m late leaving my comment this time! Just a lot of things going on that make it hard to write but I watched almost as soon as you posted.
There is so much to admire and enjoy with this episode. I loved the party! What an ambitious project getting that many guests over including toddlers (LOL!), having at least half of them squeeze into the living room, confrontations and flirtations and Komei sliding off into the shadows to settle himself perhaps by indulging in some tai chi while Jan picks up dishes while she’s coming down with something. The whole setup is wonderful and funny and creative from the party tent to the appetizers (love that little deal in the kitchen), the toast and the wandering toddlers, just great.
I really like the house. It suits the family - imposing and traditional and furnished with expensive furniture. The wallpaper and flooring are upscale and elegant too. The office off the foyer works very well since someone with a successful business might not want clients wandering into their home, better to bring them into an office right off the entry foyer. The coat and shoe racks by the front door are a very nice addition as well.
The spa is much nicer looking in the white than it would be in the normal rustic or dark brown wood. It looks like the rest of the house, more elegant. What you’ve done with the different controls in the two gates is so clever! I’ve never seen that done before.
I love the dog painting above the dog bed!
You’ve made an incredible improvement in Komei’s appearance. He is such a comic book creature the way he comes in the game. Now he looks like a prosperous wealthy older man, fit and comfortable in his retirement, in love with his wife and interested in pushing his children into similar life styles. Jan is even more invested in matching her children with socially upscale families, but that doesn’t seem to be working out as well as she’d prefer. Hopefully their children will find their own best ways. Christopher’s girlfriend Adriana is certainly lovely and I doubt he cares if anybody outside Bluewater Village knows her. Oh well, Jan…win some, lose some.
Jan does seem like she’s winning the competition with Mary Sue at least for the evening since Komei is toasting her on their anniversary while Mary Sue’s husband is flirting with another woman.
I love the dogs. I particularly love that Isis has her own family tree (!) including a puppy who now lives with the Landgraabs. They are adorable. Seeing Komei with dogs he obviously adores throws a different light on someone who might seem formidable and not all that likeable. He may be unkind to people but he loves his dogs.
And the ending is romantic and perfect!
I want to add that I really appreciate the way you move through the lots with the walls up. It makes a huge difference in the atmosphere itself and allows the viewer to clearly see and remember details like the wallpaper and the paintings. It’s more difficult, I know, but it’s worth it.

I live for the drama, Daniel never learns does he! Great episode and so interesting to see more of Jan and Komei :) I had a great thing happen this week in being able to sort the corruption issues I had with my Pleasantview I had third gen on (Hood Checker saved me)!

Haha thank you 🥳🥰 I'm glad you liked it! Note for future use: even though dishes made by hand are nice, sims don't flock to eat from that food like they do to the buffet table. Also, leave toddlers out of it 😂 But trying different stuff out is part of the fun.
Haha I love huge parties on ts2, feels so much more real that way, but also it tends to get pretty chaotic 😂 Which is part of the fun.

Wow, this house is so amazing. I cant believe this is sims 2! The graphic always makes me speakless. Tellermanns are in my game actually npc´s, but I think I will integrate they too. :) I love to play with npc´s and to write a story for them. Christin. :)

I cried trying to write this, I wanted to comment how in the 2000’s I was still a teen male in real life, my Sim kept meeting Nina who was a Scorpio, my Sim was a Virgo, my game crashed once and when I made my character again I met Nina again and they became friends again, like almost in ALL life’s they kept meeting, he didn’t meet any other townie or NPC, just Nina, and other townie who was a cancerian, just like IRL I only meet Cancer and Scorpios, lol, anyways they had a daughter together called Melanie, and I remember she dated Dustin as a teen but he made her suffer a lot, she was sad, and depressed and Orlando Centowski was a teen townie who wandered a lot around our house, he had sandals with socks and was pretty much a wanderer, he chatted with my daughter a few times but one day she was heartbroken and she walked to the sidewalk to see the clouds, out of nowhere Orlando was admiring her and complimenting her non stop !!!!!! I had never seen a townie doing that on itself, and a teen, my daughter liked him, fast-forward, they fell in love and i remember MOD’s weren’t a thing, there was only one time expansion pack at the time, and my daughter had to grow and I couldn’t make Orlando grow up, she suffered again, we built a house for her in the backyard cause she was lonely and couldn’t really wanted to leave, so depressing, it was just 2 months before the university pack came out, to my surprise I could send teen townies, so i ran to send Orlando, I made him finish university, while they were dating in the campus, he couldn’t wait to commit and proposed her in a campus store, my daughter was happy, they had like 4 kids and were the happiest family I have seen in the game

Thank you so much for sharing that! 🥰 It's so interesting how the game has changed over the years: from a time when it was brand new and with such limitations, to today when mods and cheats lets us manipulate pretty much everything. What an incredible memory to have of the game. I'm glad that there was a happy ending for Melanie and Orlando after all of that. 😊

As for build and buy, I got a huge chunk of it from binge downloading JodelieJodelie's beautiful builds. I'm working on some videos about the cc I use, but it's taking me a long time to put together since I have so much 🙈 But they'll be done eventually.

I'm finally all caught up with your LP and I just want to say how cool I think your gameplay style is! I absolutely love how you've incorperated the townies and gave them backstories/history and created family relationships for them! I am excited to see the rest of the families!
Also, do you play an uberhood/other hoods or just PV??
Oh thank you so much 🥰 That really warms my heart ❤ I'm so glad that you've enjoyed the episodes. I only play Pleasantview currently, although I do like the thought of a Uberhood. I've never tried it, but would like to some time 😊 For now though, adding the townies has proven to be quite enough families, haha 🤭

Thank you so much 🥰 That makes me so happy to hear. Days per season is unchanged for me so far, so it's the standard Maxis 5 days.
I have tried to make the lifespan as close to 1 day = 1 year as possible. Baby: 0-1, Toddler: 2-4, Child: 5-10, Teen: 11-17, YA: 18-25, Adult: 26-60, Elder: 61 and forwards. I use Cyjon's mod to shorten the Uni years to 8, and my pregnany span i 18 hours to represent 9 months 😊

Jan is probably at her wits end with her children. I can see her going on and on to Komei complaining. I don’t see her hating the people her children dating, she just wishes her kids could date very popular people. I see her wanting the best for her children, but the way she does it isn’t exactly the best way, I feel like Tosha is her favorite right now. (Much like Kris Jenner loves Kylie as her favorite.) if you do watch or know the Kardashians, if you don’t it’s ok too 😂you aren’t missing much. I do see Jan maybe adopting another child. Perhaps a troubled teenager. I think Jan wants to make people successful and maybe it cam give her something to do. Or mayhaps her kids can put the idea I’m her had to distract her from them. I do feel like she would be the type of person to ream them all out in front of each other at Dinner with Chandler, Brittany and Cristofer probably becoming annoyed for her trying to fix or encourage relationships. And Tosha is probably going to be between a rock and hard place for she is pleasing her mother and probably just doesn’t want to get involved. Meanwhile Komei is probably just sitting there asleep or something idk he looks like the type of old man who would sleep through a function 😂. Anyways can’t wait for more.
Haha yeah, Jan is definitely a very flawed person with a lot of expectations on her children. I agree, I do think she's the most pleased with Tosha right now. I think there's lots of arguments to be had with Jan and her children moving forward; luckily Komei is there to meddle :D The idea of another child is interesting! However, I don't think the Tellermans are the kind of people who would adopt, even less in their elder years. But on the other hand, they have their pets and family, with grandchildren, to look after so there's plenty to do haha! I bet Jan will pay very close attention to how Tosha's chilren turn out and be a very overbearing grandmother.
Haha oh yeah, Jan would definitely bear down on her children at family dinner; I think she'd go about it in a pretty Downtown Abbey passive aggressive way haha! We'll have to see how the kids react now that they are growing up and shaping their own lives. Tosha is very nice, but the others might be a bit more difficult to manipulate :D Haha aww, yeah, Komei has really started to relax a lot more as an elder. Well, he's earned it
